The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the roof top bar was lovely to sit in the sun and take in the view with a glass of wine ( or port).

An issue was the controls for the lights n curtains etc in the room - it’s all electronic - and until you work them out it was frustrating. The room we had had a balcony which is lovely for sitting in the sun. The other issue was the shower is not in the bathroom it’s in the bedroom with no shaded glass etc so everyone in the room sees you showering - not my favourite - but it was a great shower - the bathroom (toilet) was ok but it’s just a glass door - so all modern but not my favourite.

A great central location for sightseeing, close to many restaurants and only a short walk to the river front. The hotel was beautifully and tastefully decorated and we were made to feel very welcome by the friendliness of the staff and the glass of port given to us at reception upon checking in. Our room was spacious and spotless with a very comfortable bed and good air con. Good choice of tv channels, a free bottle of ruby port and replenished water. The breakfast was absolutely amazing ~ egg dishes, pancakes and waffles cooked to order plus a huge assortment of buffet items all beautifully presented. Try the orange jam! We travel and stay in many hotels and I can honestly say this is one of the best we have encountered.

The clear glass shower cubicle was positioned very prominently within the room. If you are someone who likes complete privacy whilst showering or feel body conscious this may not be for you.

Stayed in a beautiful suite with fantastic views. The balcony in this particular suite was enormous! Staff were above and beyond. Didn’t get to try the restaurant but the bar was lovely. Showers in room were incredible. Loved the spa when it was quiet. Perfectly located hotel.

Falling into a relaxing snooze at 7:30pm in the gorgeous spa and being woken up by a baby crying loudly but remaining in the spa. Perhaps the hotel could designate specific times for adults only. Also, we went in February but I think for summer season it would be really nice if the hotel had an outdoor pool. That’s the only thing I’d miss if I went peak season.

Property is in an outstanding location, beautifully designed and decorated. It’s surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops. So close to all the major monuments and a short walk down hill to the waterfront!! I ate in the hotel and the food is outstanding seriously good chef must be leading this property.

Can be a little challenging to for the Uber to find the driveway so they can pull off the road. But I am sure a sign is coming.

This hotel won a Small Luxury Hotels award recently, and definitely lives up to it! The decor was beautiful, the rooms were fantastically equipped, and the spa was a delight (and totally empty when I went in the middle of a touristy Sunday!). But the staff really made the difference - they were welcoming and made my friend and I feel truly spoilt. They showed us to our rooms and demonstrated everything, they made sure we were well supplied with food, drinks and any other amenities, anticipating our needs before we knew we had them. The rooftop bar was lovely, with friendly staff and great drinks. Would definitely return here!

I recently stayed at this newly built hotel located in the very center of Porto, and it was an excellent experience overall. The hotel boasts a great designer interior, where it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into every detail of the decor. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Their attentiveness truly made a difference. The location is perfect for exploring Porto’s main attractions on foot. The hotel also features a nice restaurant with a delightful menu, as well as a large indoor pool—ideal for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. If you're looking for a stylish stay with excellent amenities and a prime location, this hotel is a great choice!

Some of the design and architectural choices might be a bit polarizing, but they undeniably add character to the space.

The breakfasts were superb with varied and unlimited choices. ALL the staff were unbelievably helpful, informative and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was ideally situated, and was exceptionally clean throughout which was very impressive. We cannot fault the Wine and Books hotel, and would thoroughly recommend it to all discerning travellers !!

This was one of our favourite hotel experiences ever. All the staff were friendly and extremely professional, the breakfast was amazing, we used the pool (big enough to do lengths yet also relaxing and beautifully lit), spa and gym facilities every day and housekeeping was top notch - everything was refreshed and there were many lovely little touches. Highly recommended.

Really can’t think of anything we didn’t like. A few more hooks in the bedroom would be helpful, perhaps a spin dryer for wet costumes by the pool, but these are just little suggestions.

We had a great stay at the Wine & Books Porto Hotel. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with contemporary décor, and we were warmly welcomed with cocktails upon arrival, which was such a nice touch. Our deluxe room was incredibly spacious! The shower was huge and very comfortable, and the bed was equally large and cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The food was both generous and tasty, and the staff was kind and welcoming.

While the hotel has underground parking, the space is limited. When we arrived in the evening during the busy December holidays, the parking lot was full, and we had to spend an hour driving around the city center to find a spot far from the hotel. Additionally, we didn’t like the smart switches in the room. They’re difficult to see in the dark, and we had to use our phone flashlight to locate the right buttons.

The bar soap shampoo and conditioner I understand they are trying to be eco friendly But it just wasn't a good product for my hair It would have been great if they staff reached out and told us there's parking right at the hotel!! We parked several blocks away in an underground deck and carried luggage up flights of stairs and up steep streets to be told parking at the hotel is an option (there is no signage)
