The best thing about this hotel is the hospitality. Reception staff were exceptionally good and provided all the information that a traveler could ask for.. They were so helpful, welcoming and recommended many places to visit in Porto. Location is also good, not exactly in the center but quite walking distance of less than 5 mins to city center. Also they do provide glass of Porto wine welcome drink as well.

Everything was very nice. Just one minor suggestion to the property that they can include drinking water bottles based on the number of days of stay in hotel. Currently they only provide one bottle regardless of the number of days. It does not cost much, but providing those would add up to nice experience..

-good location -helpful staff (especially Frederico and Joao!) -nice modern decor -clean room -4-6pm, the hotel sets out coffee and croissants for guests to sit and chill. seating area is modern, cute and comfortable

-works undergoing - unfortunately, ants in bathroom and toilet when flushed -shower leaks water through the door - however the hotel has a shower door. most European hotels don’t have any door at all with open showers -room was not cleaned for two days or sheets changed in the time we stayed. When asked at reception, done quite quickly but not in the day when ideal

Trendy little hotel in a great location in Porto. Room was a great size and had a balcony. Staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Luggage storage before check in was a great help and the welcome glass of port was very appreciated after an overnight travel. Little happy hour / snack hour was wonderful each day. The neighborhood was convenient for walking around and felt local.

We loved everything but something to note for other travelers - depending on your room you may be on the street side and there is a *very* bumping local bar across the street. Go garden view if you are a light sleeper.

location was excellent and inthe area of all attractions. Good walking attire is recommended as the city is hilly. I would advise to plan were you are going as it is very easy to get lost as I learned. Also sat nav on mobile was not good as I was informed the high buildings interferred with signal! The hotel was good with friendly and helpful staff. Last but not least I found the room safe was excellent compared to numerous problems ive encountered with them.

Not a lot to dislike apart from the rain but you cannot control the weather.

Excellent location in the historic part of Porto. Lovely staff and friendly vibe in the hotel. Really good breakfast buffet. Excellent coffee machine with Nespresso pods provided in the room and a kettle was available on request. Tea bags and herbal infusions (camomile, mint etc) were also available on request from the bar. The hotel restaurant was also very good - but there are many good cafes, bars and restaurants nearby which are all worth exploring. Our room overlooked a quirky garden area where the theme of Gravity was on display with a vertical pool and plants and furniture in the air! It definitely means this hotel doesn't fit into the usual bland boring decor category! Whilst it wasn't huge, the room was a decent size for a city centre hotel. Very comfortable, large bed and good pillows. Lovely, properly thick and fluffy towels. Cute little balcony. All of the staff are very friendly, polite, helpful and speak several languages. There's a lovely young and fresh energy about the hotel and its quirky decor.

Just a matter of personal taste really, but I wasn't keen on the bathroom situation with frosted glass walls for the separate loo and shower, and the sink area being completely open - I prefer a little more bathroom privacy. But, for a short stay it was fine.

The staff and the hotel was amazing! I arrived earlier then I expected and my room was already waiting for me. I got a welcome port wine, lovely! The breakfast was amazing, everyone can find something which suits them or their diet. Free bottled water was offered continuously in my room. The hotel was in the perfect place in Porto, everything was in a walking distance, restaurants, bars. Despite of travelling alone, I never felt it strange when I was having my breakfast. The bed and the pillows were just perfect and I could enjoy long sleep without interruption - I have joint and neck pain, so for me these are crucial details in a hotel.

I should have stayed longer than 4 nights! :D

The breakfast was excellent, from the quality of food to its variety. It catered for all tastes, including mine and my wife’s. We enjoyed what we had and it set us up for the day.

It appears that the hotel gives a 10% discount off meals taken in the restaurant. We found this out on our last meal there, when the discount was applied, but none was applied to our first three meals. An insignificant amount really, probably about 15 Euros, but it would have been appreciated to have had the discount from the start.

Great location with a funky, whimsical interior design. Rooms were very comfortable. Enjoyed the "poolside" bar.

Staff was capable but not overly attentive or friendly. Hotel "upcharges" for what I would consider basic hospitality, such as refills on Nespresso coffee pods in the room (3 initial pods only no mater the lenth of stay) and wine glasses from the bar to use in your room. We brought back to the hotel a bottle of port that we uncorked ourselves, but bartender said there would be a 10 Euro Fee for the glasses. Very disappointing. Used the water glasses from our room instead.

Fantastic stay at Chic&Basic Gravity! The hotel’s gravity concept is unique, and every detail is thoughtfully designed. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to help with recommendations for local spots. The location is ideal for exploring Porto's old town, and everything was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!

I loved everything about my stay! One small suggestion: while the hotel's restaurant offers great Italian cuisine, I would have loved to see more Portuguese options on the menu, especially given how fantastic the local food is. As an Italian, I preferred exploring the local culinary scene instead.

Team 101/10. 🥰 very nice hotel, in a good location, breakfast ok, although there was a bit of a lack of fresh vegetables, but everyone will find something for themselves. the rooms are nice and clean, and I confirm the previous comments that there are a few cupboards/hangers missing, but this is not a problem. It would also be useful to have a kettle for boiling water in the room, there is a Nespresso machine and free capsules, and one free bottle of water. iron available for guests on request, beautiful terrace. it's a pity that there was so little time to enjoy the stay at the hotel.
