Our travel planner Sadie found this gem of a hotel for us in Porto and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have stayed there. You’d be very hard pressed to find a hotel with such friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a tiny bit north of all the action, but far enough away that it feels like your in a local’s area with all kinds of great restaurants, bars, etc. nearby. It’s a very contemporary hotel with a really imaginative and fun interior and shows a nice amount of whimsy, but it’s also quite functional. I think we’ve all stayed in hotels that on the surface seem really interesting and fun, but one soon discovers that many things are awkward, impractical and downright annoying. This hotel pulls off all the good things about an edgy and interesting environment, but doesn’t give up the practical aspects of actually staying there. Our room was very well laid out and had a look and feel that required a lot of creativity that also made the space quite comfortable and functional. There is a large parking garage underneath and there’s no charge for parking. Every day we stayed there would be a super thoughtful surprise in our room when we returned in the afternoon. One afternoon it was the best carrot cake I've ever had. The next it was two glasses of very high-quality port along with two outstanding pastries. The staff helped me with so many things beyond restaurant recommendations. Just one example is Nuno came down to the parking area in the basement and programed my rental car (it was in Portuguese and I don't remotely speak the language!), so I could connect my phone via Bluetooth so I could finally hear verbal directions on Google maps through the speakers in the car. All the staff were great in every way I’d like to extend a special thank you to Maria, Juliana, Nuno and Jose for everything they did to make our stay a wonderful experience!

The best thing about this hotel is the hospitality. Reception staff were exceptionally good and provided all the information that a traveler could ask for.. They were so helpful, welcoming and recommended many places to visit in Porto. Location is also good, not exactly in the center but quite walking distance of less than 5 mins to city center. Also they do provide glass of Porto wine welcome drink as well.

Everything was very nice. Just one minor suggestion to the property that they can include drinking water bottles based on the number of days of stay in hotel. Currently they only provide one bottle regardless of the number of days. It does not cost much, but providing those would add up to nice experience..

Trendy little hotel in a great location in Porto. Room was a great size and had a balcony. Staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Luggage storage before check in was a great help and the welcome glass of port was very appreciated after an overnight travel. Little happy hour / snack hour was wonderful each day. The neighborhood was convenient for walking around and felt local.

We loved everything but something to note for other travelers - depending on your room you may be on the street side and there is a *very* bumping local bar across the street. Go garden view if you are a light sleeper.

location was excellent and inthe area of all attractions. Good walking attire is recommended as the city is hilly. I would advise to plan were you are going as it is very easy to get lost as I learned. Also sat nav on mobile was not good as I was informed the high buildings interferred with signal! The hotel was good with friendly and helpful staff. Last but not least I found the room safe was excellent compared to numerous problems ive encountered with them.

Not a lot to dislike apart from the rain but you cannot control the weather.

-good location -helpful staff (especially Frederico and Joao!) -nice modern decor -clean room -4-6pm, the hotel sets out coffee and croissants for guests to sit and chill. seating area is modern, cute and comfortable

-works undergoing - unfortunately, ants in bathroom and toilet when flushed -shower leaks water through the door - however the hotel has a shower door. most European hotels don’t have any door at all with open showers -room was not cleaned for two days or sheets changed in the time we stayed. When asked at reception, done quite quickly but not in the day when ideal

Excellent location in the historic part of Porto. Lovely staff and friendly vibe in the hotel. Really good breakfast buffet. Excellent coffee machine with Nespresso pods provided in the room and a kettle was available on request. Tea bags and herbal infusions (camomile, mint etc) were also available on request from the bar. The hotel restaurant was also very good - but there are many good cafes, bars and restaurants nearby which are all worth exploring. Our room overlooked a quirky garden area where the theme of Gravity was on display with a vertical pool and plants and furniture in the air! It definitely means this hotel doesn't fit into the usual bland boring decor category! Whilst it wasn't huge, the room was a decent size for a city centre hotel. Very comfortable, large bed and good pillows. Lovely, properly thick and fluffy towels. Cute little balcony. All of the staff are very friendly, polite, helpful and speak several languages. There's a lovely young and fresh energy about the hotel and its quirky decor.

Just a matter of personal taste really, but I wasn't keen on the bathroom situation with frosted glass walls for the separate loo and shower, and the sink area being completely open - I prefer a little more bathroom privacy. But, for a short stay it was fine.

The restaurant, Valentina's, was excellent. Good menu and the best food we'd had during our stay in Porto. There was a wide choice at breakfast and very good service. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our four night stay. It is located in a really good spot for exploring the city. The soundproofing was very efficient.

Would have preferred a room with afternoon sun on the balcony, and it is not exactly a garden but more of a courtyard (bearing in mind, it's in a city). An extra voile curtain would ensure some privacy instead of having to draw the curtains when changing, etc.

The hotel has a modern décor concept that is reflected in the atmosphere. The location is perfect as it is very close to most attractions and also in an area with plenty of options for eating and drinking. We stayed in one of the suites and were able to relax in the best possible way. The suite is very large, the bathroom has a great shower, the bed was super comfortable, and the balcony is the charm of the room. Great for having a drink at sunset.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on the first night and got the impression that there were few staff members, which meant we had to wait a long time for our food to arrive. The food was okay, but for the price, there are better options in the neighborhood.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of the April. Right from our arrival into the hotel (including nice welcome drink of white port wine) all the staff we brilliant. Our room (4th floor) was a suite with a small terrace. Lovely room, spacious and well appointed and comfortable bed. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night and the food was really good and great value. Breakfast was also really good. During our stay Porto was impacted by a power outage (12 hours !). The hotel were great in providing food and we consoled ourselves by drinking red wine at the bar until the power returned. All the staff could not do enough for you. Special shout outs for Maria, Jose and Nuno who were superb but as I've said already all the staff were fab. Highly recommend this quirky hotel if you find yourselves in Porto (which by the way was great!)
