The rooms we stayed in were across the road from the actual hotel in an old building that has been renovated. The rooms are lovely with high ceilings and traditional features. The room we stayed in had a balcony which was great. The bathroom was modern with a large shower and good water pressure. There were basic toiletries provided. Note that the kitchen facilities are downstairs in a communal kitchen where there is a fridge and a water dispenser. This was useful for storing items. There is the possibility to cook your own food if required. We had the breakfast included in our stay which was across the road in the main building. The breakfast was good and they were happy to take dietary requirements into consideration as the food is cooked to order and you can keep ordering if you are still hungry. If you need to leave early before breakfast time they will prepare a breakfast to go which was very useful for us. The hotel offers different activities every evening for example quiz nights, movie nights or karaoke. We enjoyed the quiz which was a lot of fun.

The lack of a fridge and kitchen facilities in the room could be inconvenient for some people, especially if your room is on a higher floor. There are no lifts in the buildings.

Incredible staff, very comfortable room with all you need, including the shared kitchen downstairs that nobody seemed to use but us. Could leave groceries including alcohol in the shared fridge. We flew from the Azores with carry-on luggage only. So we couldn't carry a cork screw, or cutlery because boarder security would have taken it, so we loved that we could find everything we needed in the kitchen. We stayed in a private room across the street from the hostel area, super quiet. Breakfast that was included was awesome. Staff very attentive to all your needs. Bar and restaurant attached was very comfortable. Food excellent at dinner, but given the price we would have liked more included, such as a salad. We are from Canada, so the Canadian dollar to the European currency is ridiculous. We pay almost double for everything.

As mentioned, more food for the money at the dinner. After walking and climbing all day to the Porto attractions, we were hungry.

Good location, walking distance to the historic center. Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfasts. There is also a pretty good restaurant (same place as for breakfasts) and bar. The room has enough space for things, there is a closet and a place for a suitcase. The building with hotel rooms has a shared kitchen with refrigerator, water cooler, stove and large table.

The situation with electrical sockets is not thought out: the only socket near the bed is located BEHIND the bed and only on the right side. Unfortunately there are no sockets on the left side of the bed. Which is not convenient for the second guest. The shower room and toilet are essentially on the balcony. There are also the only windows in the room, which are obviously curtained off (causing quite a bit of light to enter the room). Even in the warmer months, the balcony is quite chilly in the evening. I am sure that in colder seasons it will be very uncomfortable to wash and visit the toilet there.

Amazing!! Everything you could need for a stay in Porto. We stayed in the double bedroom which was perfectly big enough. SO clean and spotless. Had a look in some of the other rooms which looked very spacious with a balconies if you wanted a bit more space! Our room was facing the road but was really well insulated so was quiet (and I am a sensitive sleeper!) breakfast was amazing - Menu to pick from but also breads, meats, fruit and pastries brought as soon as you sat down. Could order more than one thing from the menu and have a few different drinks. Staff were amazing so friendly and attentive. Area a nice short walk from the main town but also some really nice bars and restaurants within meters if there are evening you don’t want to stroll far. Would defo return if I come back to Porto.

Stayed in the private room. The room was quite spacious and clean. It had a large bed, closet and bathroom. The bed was nice and comfortable. The hotel is located on a one-way street making it quiet. I found the room on par with almost any 4 star hotel. Breakfast was served across the street in the main hostel building. It was quite varied, when you first sat down the waiter brought you a selection of bread rolls, pastries, cold cuts and fruit. You could then order various eggs, omelets and other stuff. The cafe doubled as a restaurant in the evening. Had dinner there twice and was quite impressed. The burger was great, on par with other gourmet burgers I have had before. Above the restaurant was the bar. They served excellent cocktails at a reasonable price between 8-12 euros. Most cocktails were made with local products or hand made incidents. The whole building was stylishly decorated. With enough to catch the eye and spark an interest, but not give you a sensory overload. The staff were great to talk too and helpful.

Our stay was really nice. The staff was amazing from the reception to the bar and housekeeping. My dad broke a knee some weeks before our stay so we were given a room with only few steps and we were allowed to have breakfast at the bar so he wouldn't have to go down the stairs. My mum had a chat with the girl at the bar who made an effort to speak English with her and she was really kind. Thank you very much!

If I had to point something out would be the fact that at night the room could be a bit noisy with cars and people talking on the street. Better windows could help.

The room was exceptionally good designed, cosy and beautiful. Besides, there were multiple wardrobes with the hangers and different kinds of shelves where we could place the belongings. The traditional design of the bathroom was very cute. The tv spins so one can be watched from both bad or chairs. The stuff was very nice and friendly, especially on the reception, very hospitable and professional. The breakfast was not like the usual buffet but the restaurant where you can ask for some breakfast dishes and they will cook it to you on the open kitchen and then serve it in the very nice way. Location was also very good.

Everything was great!

You don't have the impression that you're in an hotel as it is an old renovated house with a superb staircase. It is situated just outside the old center but in 5 minutes reachable on foot. So not far from the touristic part of the city but you have the fealing that you live in Porto as the hotel is located in an area inhabited by locals.

Nothing ...Everything was perfect : staff, situation, care for the clients, clean, easy to reach, really quiet area, unbelievable breakfast, very reactive when you ask something, ...

We loved our stay here 👌 staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for you. We had an issue with A/C I asked for a fan which was delivered to my room. Breakfast was included with our stay it was awesome so much food and cooked fresh which I loved. We ate at the restaurant here a couple of nights great food and again staff perfect. I can’t rate this place highly enough. Rooms were large great size shower and toilet area. It’s well located within walking distance to other restaurants and coffee shop.

Only thing to mention really was no lift. We had heavy bags due to lots of travel but the boys carted our bags up to our room. So nothing really negative to mention.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and nice decorated. The breakfast was super nice and you could choose from a menu all kinds of additional options. The location is great since it is so close to the center. A lot of restaurants and bars near by. The parking garage is a few meters from the hotel which was super convenient and 15 Euros a night is a fair price. Definitely a hotel I would book again.

The floor in the bathroom had a big crack in the floor which requires some renovation but this is a minor issue and didn’t impact the experience overall.
