The property is a beautiful period building, beautifully and sensitively converted into a guest house with original features being well complimented with modern comforts and security. I loved the door security greeting with a personal welcome. I loved the high ceilings, the decor. I loved the roof terrace area, the jacuzzi, the breakfast chef, the people that run it. I loved the sound of the rain and the way the moist outdoor warmth starts to hit you as you go from the beautifully air conditioned hallway up to the roof terrace.

Everything was perfect so I can’t think of a single thing to mention on this section.

A beautifully restored 17th century building, with original architectural features. Freddy, our host was so attentive we felt like VIP’s. The rooms face onto a gallery so there are no windows in the rooms but the high ceilings and lovely atmosphere gives it a retreat feel. Bed was comfortable with top quality sheets. Everything was sparkling clean and fresh. The breakfast was wonderful as advertised. If you like a small, interesting hotel with very personal service, then you will love this place. (Right in old San Juan near the old pier. Very walkable and interesting neighborhood.)

This property is absolutely stunning. It is spotless at all times. One morning we went down for breakfast and our room was cleaned in the 20min we were gone. AC is fantastic and it smells so good in the entire hotel. It is very private with only 12 rooms total. For the first 2 days we didn’t see another person that was staying there, only the staff. The location is right on one of the colorful streets. You are really immersed in Old San Juan. We walked everywhere from the hotel. One of the best parts is the convenience store only a few doors down. They had everything you could need in that store. It is very secure. You have to card through 3 doors to get into your room, but it is very simple with the card readers. The bathrooms are beautiful. We stayed in a balcony room and it felt like a castle. The ceilings were so high and the old wooden doors are like out of a movie. The breakfast is guests only and so luxury. You walk straight down stairs and are greeted with a private breakfast restaurant on sight. The coffee and food was so good. The hot tub on the roof is great after walking all day and the signup is super simple in the lobby to make sure you are up there alone. Every time we were on the rooftop we were alone. This hotel absolutely blew us away in every aspect. It is a luxury and an experience to stay here.

Nothing I would stay again and again.

The property location is nice! It's at the center of the Old San Juan town, and we can easily walk to two castles in a very short time. 5 minute to the East one, and 15-20 minutes to the West one. The staffs are warm-welcomed and very patient to us, explaining everything clearly in-detail. Breakfast is also nice! I also like the bed, it's not that soft. Personally I like a hard bed, so it is great experience and I have very nice sleep!

The AC in our room sounds a little bit loud, and the room has a very strong smell from the air freshener when we first came in. We got used to it in the next day though (lmao). The water is a little bit small, a little bit hard if you have long hair and you want to wash it throughly. No windows in our room.

Fantastic location, extremely clean! Nice rooms with comfy beds. The rooms were cleaned very efficiently every day with fresh towels. Breakfasts were very good!

The rigidity of the rules were a bit over the top and left is with sour taste. A few examples: Having a tape up to prevent us entering the dining room in the morning felt a bit like “prison”. Also, to charge over $6 to get second coffee when paying $350 a night is a bit of a scam… We wanted to show our friends the place and we’re told no outside guests were allowed in. Again, we understand there are rules, but it was just pushing it too much. Even though breakfasts were delicious, there was no flexibility whatsoever either; I have asked for well done sausages; “sorry, this is how we cook it here”. Brown bread possible for the French toast? No, white bread only. All these small things definitely made our experience a little less enjoyable.

Stayed in a ground floor apartment, and it was very nice! The bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean and the bathroom felt brand new. The laundry line in the bathroom was not working properly, and they replaced it immediately. One evening, I could very faintly hear music from next door, but it stopped at a reasonable hour and it was nothing to complain about. I rarely saw or heard other guests, unless it was at breakfast. The air conditioning worked very well. The breakfast was nice and filling. In all, no real complaints or reservations.

Water pressure was serviceable, not a super luxurious massaging stream. My partner said that the hot water ran out at a busy time (in the morning). The location is central to Old San Juan. This was my first time in San Juan, and the super-touristy area was not to my own personal taste. The hotel was a good oasis for that, but if I were to do it again, I think a short stay of 1-2 days is enough. Also, I would bring room slippers, as there is no rug in the room and I'm used to being barefoot.

The hotel is beautiful, nice and a very tasteful mix of the past and the present. We felt very safe, the no outside visitors policy helps maintain a quiet and safe environment for all guests. A sole female traveller should feel very safe staying at this hotel. Breakfast was fantastic The hosts were very friendly, polite and helpful. The location is very convenient and allows you to explore Old San Juan by foot There's no elevator, so anyone with mobility challenges will have difficulty accessing the upper floors.

I loved everything.

Beautiful Spanish colonial style building in the heart of Old San Juan. Quiet location, very clean, amazing a la carte breakfast and very sweet hosts who welcome you with a mimosa and take the time to explain everything about their property. They also have great recommendations for restaurants.

The only thing was that my pillow was very firm and while I know the staff would have switched it out for a softer pillow, I did not want to bother them with it and just slept without a pillow, which was totally fine for me.
