March 2025

We booked our room at the Casa Blanca with a wonder if the room, hotel would work out. The price and location seemed just what we needed and we also noticed the tours we had booked picked up at the door or very close. We were smiling the whole week. The hotel was clean, everyone was super helpful and our skinny terraces ( yes, two) provide us a chance for an outdoor space for coffee in the morning. The couples were were traveling with, that booked elsewhere, said they loved our place and that we had the best location and best roof tops. Yes, the two roof tops were great. We enjoyed the tubs (warm water) and the big seating areas. Book here.

I wish they had coffee in the room, but we made it work. They have coffee and water 24/7 in the lobby.

Beautiful property in a great location! The staff were amazing! They were so friendly and helpful. We were having some drinks at the bar in the lounge and I heard the staff getting awful treatment from guests who showed up hours before check-in, hadn't paid for an early check-in, but were complaining that they couldn't get access to their rooms. There were two groups doing this at the same time. We left and went to get food elsewhere and came back to collect our luggage and they had stayed in the lobby the whole time, going up to the desk periodically and complaining to the staff. The staff kept their composure and were absolute professionals. They also made sure that other guests weren't affected. It's a little pricier than other hotels in the area but totally worth it for the beautiful décor and the amazing location!

My cousin and I stayed at Casablanca Hotel in March of 2024 for two nights. The location in Viejo San Juan couldn't be any better! It is so centrally located that you can walk anywhere in Old San Juan in a matter of minutes. The lobby area is beautiful, and they have a small restaurant where we had a delicious breakfast one day. The rooms worked really well for our needs. We booked a room that had one bed and then a sofa area that converted to a bed so we each could have our space. The sofa bed was more comfortable than it looked. Initially, I was hesitant to book because the rooms are internal, meaning no window to the outside, but this is actually a bonus! Old San Juan can be super noisy at night, and the room was perfectly quiet and offered us our best sleep while in Puerto Rico. All of the buildings in Old San Juan are connected (kind of like townhomes), so the number of rooms with windows out to the streets will be limited. The room actually had great lighting because there are windows to the internal area--kind of like a landing that is brightly lit because of a skylight. But there are shutters that keep out the light for sleeping too. There are elevators, air-conditioning (a must have, even if March!) a safe, and a small refrigerator.

There isn't a ton of space if you're using both beds, but it worked. In our room, the bathroom fan was on whenever the light was on, and it was irritating after a while not to be able to turn it off because it was kind of loud. This isn't a deal-breaker, though.

The location and staff were the best we stayed before and after our cruise. I liked the layout of the 2nd room better. The rooftop was interesting

We stayed twice in a jr suite. The 1st time the room was smaller. There is no kettle or coffee pot, microwave, or fridge in the room. There was coffee and a microwave on the lobby and there were folks there deciding on how to improve that area

We asked for a room with a balcony and were very glad we did! We enjoyed wine on the balcony when we got in after dinner and took breakfast to go and ate on the balcony. Your hotel is very eclectic and funky, we felt like we were in a different era and loved the decor. The staff was great, Mimosa Cafe breakfast very nice. The room was a little small but not a surprise. The location is terrific, we walked everywhere and took in several of your historic sites. All in all, I would definitely stay with you again, thank you!

I usually travel with my own pillow but we decided not to check bags so it stayed home, to me yours are hard and flat. The room was super cold, which was great, but the difference in temperature between room and hallway made the doors sweat and we had some water on the floor in the room by the door. The lamp by the TV didn't work and the fridge tilted forward because it was too deep for the cabinet so the items inside rolled forward. These are just some comments so you are aware of the issues, not a complaint (except the pillows!)

Location, staff, and price were excellent.

Our room was problematic. Very dark with no windows. Four feet from the elevator and the noise of people getting on and off. We could hear everything in hallway. The biggest issue was the malfunctioning heat pump air conditioner. It did not respond to temperature settings and continued to cool even when it reached the set temperature. In addition it would turn on by itself and leaked water into the room.

The room is very clean. Had a very cool charm. We were out 3 AM and the streets were peaceful some people arriving from clubbing but all in all we felt safe. Street parking is free when you could find it a lot of convenient stores around with drinks, snacks, groceries, clothing, towel, pharmacies, general supplies

Was hoping for more authentic homestyle breakfast dinner. I really had to ask a lot of people, but I finally found a spot a quiet walk about mile away. Service was quick. Food was delicious.

The staff were welcoming and just the best to deal with. From the time we checked in they were available and helpful from giving directions to recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is older but well maintained. We were upgraded to a mini suite with a wonderful king bed and plenty of room to relax and lounge about. The temps outside were very hot and humid, but our room was always cool and comfortable. The evenings cooled off enough to enjoy the rooftop lounge and hot tubs. Having a lounge and breakfast restaurant onsite made the stay exceptional.

My only complaint is that our inside room did not have any outside windows - similar to being in an inside cabin on a cruise ship. It was perfect for sleeping but not as much fun putting on make up inside the steamy after-shower bathroom. Thank goodness for my new lighted travel mirror.

The location was perfect. We enjoyed the vibe of the hotel, especially the rooftop with the hot tubs. The young man who worked the night shift was really friendly and helpful and assisted us in several ways. Complimentary coffee and water at the front desk were a nice touch.

Our room was located on the first floor right in front of the elevator, and we could easily hear chatter in the hallway and the elevator dings and noises throughout the night. Thank goodness we're not light sleepers! The room didn't have any actual windows to the outside world, only to the indoor hallway. We were disappointed by the time they started serving breakfast; it was too late for us. We ended up having breakfast outside the hotel, although we really wanted to taste their food.

Overall, hotel was great. Friendly staff and located right in the heart of the old town. The room had effective AC although the room felt a bit damp after a while. Shower faucet was hard to use as the hot and cold were not labeled. Hotel has soaking tubs on the roof and a hot tub (which I didn't use). I felt safe staying here alone. Free coffee and water all day was a nice touch!
