Perfectly located at Plaza Colón, this hotel is at the entrance of Old San Juan, next to Castillo San Cristobal (the largest Spanish fort in the "New World"). Our King Deluxe room was very comfortable and well appointed. The rooftop restaurant Mar y Rosa is a beautiful place for a drink after a long day at the beach or sightseeing. On the ground level is coffee shop for small pastries. Two doors down, at the corner is Caficultura. A wonderful spot to get a fantastic breakfast. You will be able to wander the cobblestone streets, and take in the old world charm from Alma. I highly recommend staying here.

Because of the open atrium, the hallways are a bit loud and echoey. Sounds of slamming doors and peoples conversations are amplified because of the hard surfaces. There is no in-room dining option.

The staff were really nice and helpful & also the location of the hotel is perfect. Our room was clean and beautiful, we had everything what we needed.

Dear Alma Hotel Management, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the lack of response to my previous two emails concerning the return of my deposit. Despite reaching out twice, I have not received any reply or update on the matter. I was informed that the deposit would be refunded within six days. However, this time frame has long passed, and I have yet to receive the payment. It is unacceptable to be completely ignored after being given a clear promise. I find it highly unprofessional that no effort has been made to address my concern. I kindly request an immediate response and resolution. Please confirm when exactly the deposit will be returned. Nicely decorated, common areas light airy and clean

Because of the way it is constructed all tile with open area in the center from the first floor all the way to the 6th. The noise is magnified to an unbearable level. On the 4th floor we could hear a group in the first floor lobby loudly conversing until 3am. So much so we did not sleep. Despite personally asking them to quiet down and calling the desk. You can also hear even mid range conversations in the rooms next to you

Breakfast was delicious in the attached cafe. Restaurants were amazing! Did not get to try the rooftop restaurant. Bed and rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Beautiful architecture in the building. Relaxing decor. Absolutely loved the rooftop plunge pool. Small and intimate with great views.

I was there on a holiday week and the staff seemed to be stretched thin. Mini bar/snacks not completely stocked. Bathroom toiletries missing upon arrival. Construction dust was left in the bathroom of one of our rooms from a recent project, and the bed linens were not clean. It looked like someone had a late checkout and the room wasn't checked after that. It would have been nice to have bar service during the day near the rooftop plunge pool. Definitely make restaurant reservations.

Front Desk Manager Salvador was outstanding. Above and beyond. Handled a bad situation very well. Turns out the "standard queen room" or whatever called does not even have a window, no reference to that in hotel amenities, and Alma San Juan system had us listed as "NW" non-window which i would never have booked if known. He moved us to a room with window, and personally moved our luggage. Full marks to him, a great ambassador. Also Great roof top restaurant.

The location is perfect. Especially if going on a cruise. All the best restaurants of Old San Juan are steps away. Plus the rooftop bar, restaurant and pool are amazing! My only suggestion is that there be more lounge area for during the day. It would be very easy to add some lounge chairs where there is tables. Many more would be able to enjoy that area. Many other guests felt the same on this issue. It is a new hotel so I am sure things like this will be observed and changed. We loved this hotel and location!

Modern Comfortable beds and pillows and the dressing gown’s luxurious and a great touch Property central to all you need Just a really nice place.

Option in the room for tea in the mornings another than coffee would have been a nice touch. It wasn’t really an issue just a consideration maybe. The terrace restaurant was busy so speaks for itself so didn’t try so you may want to book in advance. Menu looked great though. We didn’t go to the pool area.

Great Location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice, excellent bed and linens. Shower fantastic. Hotel design very unique with great amenities. Rooftop bar and restaurant was one of the best in area. Food was delicious. Overall great experience, perfect location for walking Old San Juan.

Design of hotel did not allow outside view. Window view was interior. Hard to tell weather or time of day.

The room was spacious and immaculate; the design is luxurious and comfortable. Housekeeping does an excellent job here. The location is 100%. You simply are at the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

It’s a little pricey and does not include parking nor breakfast so it feels steep but honestly it was worth being in such a beautiful space in Old San Juan.

Room was very nice - great bed, very clean, great bathroom products, etc. but was pretty small and just had one small window. Also had a great rooftop bar that went had a drink at after dinner each night. Incredible view from the roof

Very expensive, rooms a bit small, pool area was really small and was dirty when we went up there in the morning.
