We originally booked a different hotel, but due to renovation delays, it got canceled last minute. Fortunately, the owner kindly offered us rooms in San Juan at the same price as compensation, and we happily accepted. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised — the place was huge! If you're traveling with friends, family, or a loved one, I highly recommend staying here. It has the perfect location, a beautiful pool, spacious rooms, daily housekeeping, and pretty much everything you'd want for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We had an amazing time overall. The only minor issue we encountered was with the door lock, which somehow got stuck from the inside. But the staff — both the receptionist and the manager — were super responsive and immediately offered us alternative rooms. While my friends and I managed to open it ourselves (since all our belongings were inside and we had dinner plans!), we really appreciated how fast and helpful the staff was. This trip was absolutely worth it, and I’m definitely coming back!

Great location. The bedroom air conditioner worked well. Staff were friendly and brought requested items, like soap, towels and a floor fan.. The apartment access is up a flight of stairs ( no elevator ) and provides a view from the balcony down Calle O'Donnell of the bay. WiFi was good most of my stay.

No air conditioner in living room, bathroom or kitchen. Ceiling fan in living room was broken. Window in living room couldn't be opened. There was construction noise every day during the day, right outside the apartment.

The location was decently located. The accommodations were clean. The terrace continental breakfast was quite good.

We did not get the expected accommodations. The building was in renovations. We had reserved and expected an ocean view with separate beds and kitchenette for a friend and myself. We were in a suite with a queen size bed and a sofa bed with no linen for the sofa bed and the bathroom connected to the bedroom - not very appropriated for a friend type of trip.. The second night, we were accommodated with a 2 bed room and again without window views but certainly a more private bathroom arrangement. After some discussion with the manager. We accepted a 20% refund as well as complementary breakfast for both mornings for the change in accommodations.

The staff was so nice, right off the bat. We were welcomed so warmly. During our stay, a big bug came in our room and one of the cleaning ladies came to help us get it out. The location was also amazing, right when we come out of the room, we are faced with the ocean and the Castillo San Cristobal (historic landmark). It’s super easy to walk anywhere by foot from there. Another very good aspect of the studio is that it comes with everything. We could very easily cook there.

The street was always pretty busy, the noise was sometimes a bit unsettling. The floor was not clean and we would simply not walk on it without shoes. It definitely needs some fixing up here and there. The shower was a bit hard to understand, I had a hard time getting the hot water.

Check in/out at La Terraza 262 Calle del So for La Capitana. Our room name was Ocean View & was very nice… Very good air conditioner & full kitchen… the view out of the balcony was great!

After figuring out where to go for Check in/out at La Terraza 262 Calle del Sol for La Capitana. The way we booked it thru Priceline.com, they did not make it very clear that we needed to check in at La Terraza. Also.. be prepared to climb stairs with your bags. So better to pack lightly staying here. Also, the wifi stopped working after the first night & the La Terraza office did not respond back to us about the wifi.

Very cute, nicely furnished apartment. Location is great for an easy walk to all of Old San Juan and the the water views. It is on the 3rd floor so keep in mind those steps and carrying luggage up them. The view is nice of the town and looking towards the bay. The apartment's amenities were comfortable, the bed, the air conditioning, the sofa. Kitchen is a bit old but we only used the fridge. The place was quiet, clean, bug free and in a great location. Don't bring a car though or plan to pay for parking. Stop by Bien Papaya across from Castillo San Cristobal, just down the street, for smoothies, coffee and bagels. Very friendly owner and staff. Picking up the key from a nearby hotel was easy and staff at the hotel were nice. They also offer breakfast and coffee at the hotel, not free, but hotel is nearby and lovely.

The stairs were tough for older persons and especially with luggage. That should be made clear for those renting this apartment.

The location was perfect! Great view of the ocean and the forts. Within walking distance of EVERYTHING! It was very relaxing even with so much traffic noise over the weekend, which was expected.

I received a text from the hotel saying I could use it to communicate any issues but when used, I did not receive any phone call as was noted in the text conversation. So I cancelled the issue complaint. It was just about how the AC unit would stop working in the middle of a warm night. Also, I don’t recall ever being notified that I had to check in at a different location first. Our arrival was late at night and wandering around the streets with luggage was tiring after a long flight. Communication could be better.

Right in the middle of everything! Great location. Let's face it. The building and the apartment are both old and unrenovated. But for the money, it was absolutely fine. A nice view of the bay and cruise ships as well as the Old Town neighborhood. Fairly clean with working air conditioning and a helpful host a couple of hundred yards down the street. Probably a little better than I anticipated given that the price was half or possibly a third of other Old Town rentals.

Check in was a nightmare because unbeknownst to me, I was supposed to receive an email with address and instructions that I never received. Granted, I booked the place the same day I wanted to check in but... I didn't even know where the rental was nor did I have a way to reach anyone that could assist me.

Location was excellent and the apartment was clean and the furniture was reasonably comfortable. It is an apartment in old San Juan which has not been remodeled or updated in some time. Don't expect palatial or pristine, but if you can live with that, this place really hit a sweet spot. The bed is very good. We did not cook, so cannot comment on the kitchen facilities, but it looked like it would serve well. The AC unit keeps the bedroom really nice and cool so we could sleep even in the heatwave. The staff at the hotel down the street which manages the apartment were really helpful.

The ceiling fan in the living room did not work. Our visit coincided with a heatwave so that would have been welcome. The AC unit is in the bedroom (wise!) but it meant the front room and kitchen would become very warm when the sun shone on that part of the house. My only other caveat for anyone thinking of renting the apt. is that the toilet in the bathroom has very narrow clearance. I am 6' 2" and if I would have been any taller I am not sure I could have gotten up off the toilet without hitting my head on the wall. It is very tight. My knees were almost touching the wall.

I received a message a few days before our booking that moved us to the sister property La Terraza. We loved this hotel and felt like an upgrade with the roof top pool area. Our king suite room was so nice and comfortable and the whole place was decorated beautifully.

The only issue we had was needing extra towels as the cleaning lady only left one but this was easily fixed.
