The location is right across from one of the main cruise terminals. It is fun to watch all the activity when those big ships come into port. The rooftop pool and hot tub are great though they need to replenish the pool towels more often. There is a CVS a couple blocks after and a Walgreens in the same building and they sell alcohol and basic food, snack and drinks along with pharmacy items. They upgraded us from junior suite to full suite overlooking the port. Many restaurants and bars are located within a short walk.

The elevators are unable to accommodate all the check out customers at 11am - very, very crowded. The hotel is undergoing a renovation and there is NO updated signage telling folks that the check desk is not on the ground floor but on the second floor with the restaurant. Presumably this will be updated when they finish the renovation. They have taken away the complimentary rum punch which takes away from the island ambiance somewhat. The redone suites are missing some items. There was only 1 light in the living area and only 1 cushion on the couch. There was only 1 picture on the wall. We did have, however, 2 ice buckets - go figure! The hotel is overpriced. Breakfast is NOT included.

The room was spacious and very clean. The safe was gracious and extremely helpful. The hotel was beautiful!

I did not like the description for my room said partial view of the ocean…. This is only true if infrastructure and a ship is not in port. I feel the description should say a partial view of the port. Then one would not expect to see natural beauty but the workings of a port with a possibility of natural beauty. The price should reflect this. Knowing this I would have still booked my room but my expectations would have been different, as you ca see it didn’t stop me from giving you 10/10 free r experience and service.

Location and the Customer Service was excellent.

That the price increased significantly from what Booking.com said it was going to be to what El Rumbao ended up billing. It about $500 more than what we expected to pay... I stayed in this hotel in 2023 when it was the Sheraton and did the booking the same way and that did not happen. This information should be stated when the booking process is completed so the guest knows that it may cost significantly more when time to check out.

The onsite restaurant is very good and worth the wait if they are busy.

Soon after obtaining my room housekeeping tried to come in my room as I believe they were not notified I had checked in. My door was locked and I'm sure it was an honest mistake. The room is a little pricey but given the location, I would expect this. Lastly, there are no washcloths provided in the bathrooms so I felt like I was visiting Europe as they also don't provide them so I always travel with my own.

It’s cute, staff was extremely nice and accommodating. We traveled with a toddler and they quickly offered a crib. Anytime we called to request for something, they brought it to us very quickly. Buffet was great

Parking is in a parking structure across the street. You can pay for valet or park it yourself. I felt I needed to valet anytime we got back late at night given we had a baby to stroll around and parking structure wasn’t super convenient to find parking.
