My stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room I was given, is very spacious and the bathroom also. Breakfast was superb. There is also a gym where I could work out. The location of Golden Ocean Hotel is perfect. The closest metro station was only 5 minutes away on foot. The city center is also walking distance. In ten minutes it is possible to reach Al Waqif where you can find several restaurants.

No international TV channels. I didn't care that much though as I was in Doha for sightseeing and not watching TV.

The staff in the reception is very nice and welcoming. Even though my reservation was last minute they gave me a huge room! The room was very clean when we arrived. They were very attentive in all our requests and always with a prompt response. Looking forward to come back :)

The walls are not sound proof, unfortunately the person next door was playing music very loud… We had to call reception to ask them to turn it down. There was no towels on the room when we arrived… Had to ask reception to bring them. Every now and then the bathroom drainage started to stink a bit. Just a heads up to the hotel staff to pay attention on these small things, we had a very nice stay anyway!

The Royal Suite was perfect for our family stay with kids—spacious and clean with all the necessary amenities. The front desk staff was very generous in upgrading our family suite to the Royal Suite.

The swimming pool was so small, it felt more like a water pond than an actual pool. When we got there with the kids, we saw about 40 people crammed in, all floating around. It didn't seem hygienic at all, with everyone constantly bumping into each other. Honestly, you can't call it a swimming pool - it's wanter pond. I wouldn't recommend the pool to anyone who is health-conscious.

The food menu for the breakfast is quite delicious and the serving was so generous like even when you have one order you can still share it by two person. The ambiance of the restaurant is also amazing.

I just feel sad by the pool timing because they are closing it by only 7’oclock in the evening so by the time that we get there to enjoy the pool the lifeguard already informed us that we can no longer get there because it’s already closing time, actually we are expecting that maybe it will same like the other that the pool timing is until 10:00pm.

Hotel facilities, cleanliness, amenities is good deserve 4 star hotel

reception need more training about meet and Greetings guest once the arrival, smile need to add, Greetings need to say, someone checkin u can find they say nothing to you, housekeeping runner need presentable, he gave the request but his hand lay on the door, hk room attendant need be humble some of them like scare to greet and some are rude.

The room 605 is very spacious, tho a bit cold even after switch off the aircond but overall the stay was pleasant. The bathroom has shower and bath tub separately. The room service is OK. The staffs were friendly. They clean up the room everyday for the first 6 days we stayed there.

The second room on 7th night that we extended room 102 had unpleasant smell

Everyone at the desk are very welcoming. This is our 1st time coming to this hotel and this visit is a superb one. Definitely coming back in the next couple of days. the internet connection is very fast. The swimming pool is smart. Concierge staff are very nice people. Highly recommended

What I don't like is, I stay the whole night in the hotel without watching television because the tv is not working and I call the reception 4 times in the night looking for assistance but they didn't pick my calls and I Left my card inside the room and locked myself outside and I asked one housekeeping to assist me and the house keeping staff refused to assist me,thanks to concierge team they are very quick in assistance ❤️

Staff at reception and admin are very kind Restaurant is having nice foods and staff Swimming pool is ecceptable and good staff

All is ok except two need to follow and change if possible, 1.Going to basement parking is too difficult all cars has scratches and damages. 2.There is no slop for taking luggage "BAGS" not safe for visitors and staff.

The moment I stepped in the welcoming in, the lady at the reception called Anna, she's charming and friendly. She did a good job then the guy who took me directly to the room confirmed everything in the room was as required and in case I needed anything I should call at the reception. I made an order for food ,everything was in perfect timing, the food was good.

The location is superb,at the heart of the city and close to popular tourist spots as well as the airport. All the staff are so pleasant and will make you feel welcome and valued...esp the reception lady and gentleman. The restaurant serves some delicious meals and the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. Pool is well maintained and rooms spacious...Overall a very pleasant experience 😊

I just wish they would improve on wifi strength.
