The location was excellent, with a subway station just a few steps from the hotel, via the underpass, it made travelling around by train so easy. Easy walking distance to the Marina the Gardens by the Bay and shops. We were upgraded to the Finlayson Suite, had previously booked the Brown Suite. It looked like it had a kitchen renovation, but it was not finished off. Door fronts to the integrated fridge were not fitted and the dishwasher was just a little too big that when you opened the cutlery draw it scrapped across the control panel for the dishwasher. The room was nice, but the building is old, and for the best room in the hotel, it was lacking in a few areas, especially the balcony off the bedroom, the decking was not fixed in some spots, it really was not inviting at all, and the door was rusty and in need of the whole window and door being replaced.

The bar and restaurant at the hotel were not open on the weekends. But there are quite a few local 7-11 stores close by to get snacks and drinks as required.

Very spacious studio room with good kitchen facilities, especially if you wanted to cater your own breakfast. Marks & Spencer Food is in the square opposite if you need to purchase supplies and ready made meals. Lau Pa Sat Hawker Centre is just one block behind hotel. Nice rooftop pool Location was excellent within walking distance to Marina Bay and Gardens on the Bay. Hotel is directly outside MRT (subway) entrance for Raffles Place.

There were no bedside reading lights and no overhead lights above the bed. Although there were cooking facilities, there was no table on which to eat.

Great location walking distance to Marina Bay, lots of food options nearby Satay street around the corner. Was in interesting historic building and easy drop off point for taxi's and close to MRT stations if you wanted public transport. Pool is very cool on the roof maybe not so good for very small kids ours is seven and can swim well.

The rooms are a little dated and need to be refreshed. We booked for 3, 2 adults and 1 child of 7yrs and there was no bed for him, we had to ask them for a fold out bed and they wanted to charge us extra (over 100SGD per night and we has a short discussion how they should be upfront with extra costs when they new from our booking it was for 3. They did however set up the bed for us free of charge in the end.

The hotel is in a great location, and very clean... thanks, Ryan, from housekeeping! Everything was close by esp Lat Pau Sat food mall. The rooms had everything you would need. The washer/dryer was a definite plus as we were going on week 3 of our vacation. If ever in Singapore again. I would stay at Ascott Raffles.

The restaurant was a bit pricey. We opted out for the bfast bec the reviews indicated it was a continental bfast. The hallways had an odd smell and on the warmer side.

Rooms were very spacious and clean. Location was great. Barely a 1-minute walk to the mrt. Staff were kind and attentive.

Room could use a bit of maintenance. Phones werent working and some door levers were falling off. Toilet flush is also defective in such a sense that you did to press it again after flushing for it to stop releasing water

The room size was more than adequate, luxurious bed and bathroom. Room facilities made our stay more than comfortable. The location was ideal and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see.

There was a damp/musty smell. I understand the building is old, but it really did take away from some of the WOW factor initially. Aside from this, our room was spectacular.

When I come to Singapore lately I stay at Ascott Raffles Place. Great location (3 minutes walk to Lau Pa Sat, 15 minutes walk to Marina Bay), well-equipped apartments, 5-star hotel service. I want to thank our housekeeper Ryan for the efficiency, quality of cleaning and pleasant surprises. A quick note about the concierge: when I asked for help booking a table at the restaurant, he refused to help me, citing the fact that the restaurant is located in a hotel not owned by the Ascott chain. This is strange, as I would like to receive more support from management.

Property is in city center, close proximity to anywhere, easy access to orchard by MRT and good walking distance to china town and Lau Pa Sat. Property is having a good facility for gym and swimming pool located on 19th floor. There is also lounge area in to relax with coffee/tea machines there. The room is huge in singapore standard and perfect for family with snail kids. I assumed their combine twin bed will have a bigger bed than king size, but they are all the same size. Ryan, our housekeeping is very helpful and accommodating, and he even made some characters out of towels for my children which cheered them up after long day strolling around the city.

Property is having an old look, but they maintained quite well. There is no supermarket around. Closest one is in city hall.

Location was perfect for what we wanted as first time travellers to Singapore. Only 2 blocks to the waterfront wall by the Merlion and overlooking Marina Bay Sands, 2 blocks to Lau Pa Sat which is a must try for food and easy location to MRT. Rooms were incredibly spacious and we were incredibly touched by the lovely note that was left on our bed from Ryan. Beds were incredibly comfortable, huge bathrooms and staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay here again should we return back to Singapore in the future!
