Stayed here with a friend and we couldn't stop praising V Hotel Bencoolen, especially its fantastic location - it's literally steps away from the MRT station next door (and has a bus stop also close by). The room was also spotless, staff were helpful and friendly, water pressure in the shower was amazing, and I really loved the layout of our twin room which had a cosy duplex style layout.

The room was pretty small, so it was a tight squeeze manoeuvring around the bed. The walls were a little thin, so we were awoken by screaming and crying kids next door because we could hear them loud and clear.

The hotel is close to the mrt and bus stations. Getting around is a buzz. The staffs are very helpful, accommodating and friendly. May, the room attendant on our floor on level 10, is not only friendly but also ensures that our rooms are in clean condition throughout our stay. I wish the rooms are a bit bigger though. Overall, our stay is very pleasant and we would choose to stay here if we visit Singapore again. We would also recommend this hotel to our relatives and friends when they come visit Singapore.

The location was really good with the MRT being next door and close to a lot of great eateries. The staff were very helpful. The only thing that was a downer was the fact that when you arrive in a taxi you are dropped off in a smoking area section at the rear of the property. A large number of the staff are all smoking in a enclosed area and the smell is going into the foyer.

Amazing - location (metro station literally next door, all the museums within 10min walk and great food places nearby), comfortable beds, superb AC. The rooms are fairly modern, cozy (albeit a bit small if you're travelling with a big luggage.) We managed to get a nice view of the downtown as well. Pool was a very nice addition (open til 10PM!). Great shower.

The location next to the MRT and close to Fort Canning and the river was excellent. The hotel was clean and the pool looked great even though we were unable to find the time to use it.The beds were quite firm but the staff willingly supplied topper pads which made it much more comfortable.

By Singapore standards this was a good room for the money however the twin room was shoebox size.

Situated right next to the MRT station, it was very handy to travel everywhere in Singapore, including the airport. The staff were all helpful and friendly. I loved the internal gardens and swimming pool on the 3rd floor. I also loved having a wee tree on our balcony. We had a beautiful little yellow bird visiting it.

I wasn't so keen on the breakfast at the restaurant next door. They would charge extra for basic things like Earl Grey tea or almond milk. The food was OK but a bit repetitive when you're staying a few nights.

The location of the hotel was very good, it was right next to the metro. The hotel was central to everything and We could walk to a lot of some places. The staff were very helpful. I would stay there again.

Excellent location with MRT station Bencoolen (DT line) just next door! Also many bus lines stop very close. Starbucks and 7/11 are close also. Nice and clean room (though a little small if it were two people and two suitcases, but fine for a solo traveler with a backpack), and I was lucky enough to get a room facing downtown. Considering the prices in Singapore, I'd say this was value for money. Recommended!

The electronics were a bit tricky. I couldn't turn the tv off with remote control, so I had to call someone to turn it off from the back panel. Also the A/C and some of the lights weren't so straightforward. Also no power outlet next to bed.

The best thing about V Hotel Bencoolen is definitely the location. MRT Bencoolen station is right next door and gets you to locations like Bayfront (for Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Art Science Museum), Clarke Quay (for river boats and Clark Quay bars/dining) Chinatown, Downtown, and Harbourfront (for Sentosa) quickly and efficiently. Orchard Road and Burgis are also within walking distance. I would say this is about the best hotel in Singapore, within this price range, for MRT accessibility to attractions. Also stayed at Hotel Boss, which is comparable, but Hotel Boss is not as close to its nearest MRT (Lavender) feels like a longer walk than it actually is, in the heat). V Hotel Bencoolen felt overall, nicer/more comfortable too. V Hotel Bencoolen is also a short walk to the National Museum of Singapore (highly recommended if interested in learning about the country's history). Lazada One, which has a food court, is also a short walk from V Hotel. We went there for breakfast.

The pool could have been warmer as it's indoors, so you don't have the sun and outdoor temperature to keep you warm. Also, the beds were quite hard. I don't mind firm, but these could have been slightly softer. Our friends didn't have a shower screen in their bathroom, whereas ours did, which meant that water went everywhere in their bathroom, which was essentially a wetroom. Wetrooms make it quite uncomfortable, especially when sharing with family/friends in one room.

Very good attention from the hotel staff. They gave us a late checkout until 6PM. It was amazing. The hotel is 50 metres from the metro. It is very easy to do everything using the metro.

The room is very small because it has 3 beds. If it was just a matrimony bed, it would have more space. My suggestion is to stay at this hotel without breakfast. The breakfast is a partnership with a cafeteria besides the hotel and it is not good based on the price they charge. There are good cafeterias very close to the hotel and you can have a better breakfast with a lower price.
