- Clean and comfortable rooms - Great city view - Subway station right at the hotel entrance - Good value for money - Great breakfast with lots of options

- Amenities within the room are a bit lacking. No storage space, coffee machine, kettle, bathrobes etc in the room. Par for the price category I guess. - Most attractions are quite some distance away. The U-bahn stop right in front of the hotel definitely helps but it does take some time to get to the city attractions. No good restaurants/bars in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

The hotel has a great location - right next to a metro station that takes you straight to the city center in just 10 minutes. There's also a parking garage in the opposite side of the street that costs around 8 euros a day. Schonbrunn castle is 15 minutes from the hotel by foot or 1 metro station away. The breakfast was very rich and had everything you would need. The staff are friendly, can speak English well and also let us keep our luggage there after we checked out. The rooms are well equipped, had a bodywash, hairdryer and some hangers for your jacket.

The bathroom is not separated from the room with a door so when you're showering people that are in the room can see you perfectly. This can be uncomfortable depending on who you're travelling with. The other room we had booked with our family did not have that issue since the bathroom was behind the bed and no one in the room could see the person inside.

The hotel is located in a great place, it is tidy and the people are friendly. Breakfast has a large selection and there is something for everyone. The elevator can only be operated from outside, so it takes time to get used to it. The rooms are arranged so that, for example, there are 700 rooms on the 7th floor, 400 rooms on the 4th. The lady who took us to check in is new to it, but she was accompanied by a gentleman who explained everything to her and helped her so that it also went without a problem. The rooms are very tidy, every day you get clean towels and the trash is emptied.

The only drawback is that parking is 25 euros per day, while parking across the street (public garage) is 9 euros/day with the application. In my opinion, hotel guests should have either a better price or even free parking. We stayed for 4 days and we would have paid more for parking than for 4 days of public transport.

Fantastic location right by U4 link - only a few stops from central & CAT hub if you’re travelling to the hotel via public links like we did. The hotel was lovely & clean,great options for breakfast for both adults & kids.The team members were lovely & I didn’t get their names but 2 members of the team during breakfast were so lovely,chatty & helpful with local recommendations - one had lived & studied in London if that helps for team recognition! We had dinner once at the hotel & enjoyed the food - lots of options if you plan to eat at the hotel.The shopping plaza is right next door with a supermarket which was so helpful travelling with a 6 year old & getting bits for the room for evening.Some lovely food options there too including Vapiano,Fat Monk & few others catering for adults & kids which helped lots for dinner with 6 year old.Walking distance to Schonbrunn Palace & Technical Museum & a Lidl! Highly recommend the hotel!

Pillows were uncomfortable / too flat

We really liked the location of the hotel – it’s truly less than a minute to the metro. The breakfasts were tasty and varied. The rooms had good soundproofing, an excellent view from the windows, and fast Wi-Fi. The restaurant menu was decent, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with all our questions. The in-room control system was also very convenient – everything was new, automated, and comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our time there

Overall, I can’t really point out any major drawbacks. There are just a few small details — for example, it would be nice to have more desserts available at breakfast, and perhaps a water cooler near the reception area so guests can refill their bottles. Even just one for the entire hotel would be helpful, especially since most stores close around 6 PM, and if you forget to buy water, it could be an issue. It would also be great to have some sort of chat or bot in the room to send messages to the front desk — like requesting to skip cleaning or ordering something to the room. But honestly, compared to all the advantages, these aren’t even downsides — more like small suggestions

We wanted a clean, modern hotel which allowed us to all stay in the same room (hate as a family having to be split across two rooms). The room was excellent, really spacious, although in bunk beds they were actually really comfortable. The aircon was a welcome addition as it was so hot in Vienna that week. The hotel restaurant is self service, but again for our family adventure this worked great. Simple continental breakfast, nice coffee and again, spacious and clean. Absolute bonus is that the hotel is right next to the tube so we were able to get around the whole of Vienna so easily!! Children travel free on all the public transport. We caught the CAT train from the airport and quick tube ride to the hotel on arrival. I wouldn’t bother renting a car as the public transport is clean, efficient and really cheap! Walking distance to Schonbrunn Palace, highly recommend the oldest zoo in the world (which is inside) and the Marionette Theatre for the kids! The reception staff were really helpful. We would highly recommend Vienna and this hotel as your basecamp!

Friendly and helpful staff, nice and spacious room. Modern design. I appreciated the possibility to turn off the lights (or to adjust which lights are on/off) in basically whole room straight from the bed. The whole hotel was very clean. Plenty of breakfast options, both sweet and savoury, changing a bit from time to time (however, some of the things were pretty salty). Helpful information on the busiest times in the breakfast room in the elevator. The location is great - just next to the U-bahn station with a good connection to the city centre, close to Schoenbrunn as well.

Not much of a storage space if you come for longer periods of time and more luggage - a small wardrobe or a couple of shelves would be nice. A bit weird system of getting into the hotel part from the entrance to the building. Also impossible to get into the building when the main entrance is closed without having to ring the reception - the card never worked somehow...

The hotel's location is very convenient, approximately five metro stations from the center of Vienna. The metro station is just 10 steps from the hotel, which is extremely useful. The breakfast is satisfactory, but it would be great to include a wider variety of bakery products.

Early check-in (one hour before the official time) costs 10 euros. In my experience, other hotels have not charged for early check-in, even up to three hours early especially when you have a Genious discount. This is not a complaint, as it seems to be the hotel's policy, but I wanted to note it. The main issue is entering the hotel. The door is locked, and guests must use a small screen on a column to call for access. I observed at least four groups of tourists who were confused by this process. The plus: 1. Big room with a lot of space and enough seating for four. Also a desk with additional sockets. 2. The toilet and bathroom are separate. Very comfortable in a multi person room. Also there are public toilets available on floor 3 of the hotel (3 stall for each sex). 3. Personal socket and a place to place your items near each bed. So useful and comfortable. 4. Good lightning in the room and the bathroom. Light in the mirror. 5. Perfect location near the entrance of metro station. Shops and supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The small minuses: 1. The room does not have a mini fridge or a kettle 2. The breakfast is the same on all days. It has good enough variety and options but it is the exactly same every day. 3. The air con in the room is not temperature adjustable. It is the main unit kind and you only control the fan. Can't say if it's good as we stayed in spring and it didn't need it to work too hard to warm or cool the room. It was fine.

Well located hotel close to Train station and a brief walk to Schonbrunn Palace. The Hotel is collocated with a small mall with a Billa, Muller, bookstore and a heap of restaurants. The Quadruple Room had enough space for a family of 4 with 4 large suitcases. This was our second stay at H2 and it’s now our go to hotel in Vienna for short stays. Staff are efficient and helpful and the breakfast is great.

The lift system can get a little tricky when the hotel is full as you need to preprogram the floor you want rather then pressing a button inside the lift. When there are lots of people using the lifts there is often confusion!
