Cool hotel in a nicely transformed former factory with nice restaurant/ beer-garden in the inner courtyard. Clean and comfortable and quiet rooms and good breakfast with eggs freshly cooked to order. Convenient location on the ring road close to metro and Tram.

The immediate surroundings (big noisy junction and a big petrol station) are not very nice, but once in the hotel it was very quiet. As the reception was closed when I arrived, i had to ask for water in the restaurant and was charged 4,40 for a small bottle, which I found a bit excessive as there was no fridge in the room and water from the tap did not get cold.

The personal was very friendly and always ready to help, to explain if necessary. The hotel is located in between two metro stations – Margaretengürtel and Längenfeldgasse. The first one is on the line U4, and a little bit closer, and letter is on the intersection of U4 and U6. While Margaretengürtel is a bit closer, to reach it, one would need to across several busy streets, but to the Längenfeldgasse one can go along one street, with almost no cars, with many trees, and I was taking that station. The room was very clean, windows looked into the inner yard, and it was quite inside. The hotel has also a nice restaurant, which is open from Monday to Friday, also except of some public holidays. One can go to the restaurant through the inner yard, which is nicely illuminated in the evening. Only one evening (on Sunday, when I have arrived), I went to another restaurant, not far away, but the restaurant in the hotel I liked better. Also, if take into account that the hotel in the whole is located in rather in some industrial area, the restaurant inside of the hotel is very helpful for somebody who is travelling alone. As to me personally – I liked it!

The only problem is that the part of the room where the shower and sink are located does not have a door. This is the only reason why I would recommend this hotel for peoples who travel alone. But if somebody does not see the problem in this particular circumstance – one can choose the hotel Fabric for sure.

The hotel is close to a busy street, but is entered through an inner courtyard. And this inner courtyard is already an oasis of peace and harmony. It is full of flowers, green plants, and climbing plants that are certainly cared for. It's like a botanical garden. I don't know of any hotel like it, it's a very pleasant exception. The hotel is comfortable, clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. My stay at the hotel was very nice.

Fabrik Wien staff were all very helpful in replying to my questions on local transport & services, arranging a taxi to Aport, & preparing a take away basket, in lieu of my missed breakfast for travel. They all speak excellent English, are highly intelligent, and solicitous of the traveler's needs. The included morning breakfast is first rate and filling; a pleasant surprise difference to most hotels. The building itself is solidly constructed, renovated from a textile factory it has far better noise isolation than current buildings. It is modern throughout it's interior, VERY clean and well maintained. I enjoyed my stay and am looking forward to a return visit, danke schone.

It is beyond the scope of a hotel to improve a metro stop, so my comment is NOT a reflection on Hotel Fabrik Wien. The Margareten gurtel tram/metro stop is attracting people you would not want to find on your home street. I did NOT see any sign of assault crime however. Nevertheless, a foreigner should remain alert when passing thru this location.

Spacious room and bathroom, separate loo. Lovely views into the courtyard with lots of potted plants, beautifully lit in the evening. Huge variety to choose from the buffet breakfast with eggs cooked at request. Great location, easy to get to from the airport by train to Wien Mitte, then the U4 to Margaretengurtel, head towards the petrol station, a two minute walk. The restaurant was really good, great food, lovely atmosphere, vaulted red brick ceiling. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It’s easy to get anywhere in Vienna from here, including the famous Naschmarkt where you can find numerous ethnic restaurants.

It’s just a shame the restaurant isn’t open Saturday or Sunday. The immediate environment at Margaretengurtel looks a bit unappealing at first but the hotel courtyard takes you into a different world.

SUPERRRRR breakfast (quality and choice) and hotel well connected with the center of the city. Interesting neighborhood, very peculiar. Staff (family run) is so friendly and lovely, a hotel to return to and feel at home!

the fact that you have to request to have an extra blanket(down filled comforter) or pillow at the reception It woudl preferable to have it already in the room, and a double room with single occupancy should have two blankets (on both sides) as otherwise the room looks extremely SAD and incomplete. This is not a complaint, just a headsup to the structure,

Breakfast was excellent with fresh scrambled eggs/vegetables cooked in front of you. Room was very large, perfect also to work when needed. Location is outside the city center but close to metro so center is only 10-12 minutes away.

Amazing breakfast buffet! Omelets made to order daily, huge selection of fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, yogurt, etc. They have a coffee machine for cappuchino, tea, hot chocolate and expresso. There is a fresh homemade coffee cake or danish each day besides the rolls and 3 types of bread. Many types of fresh or packaged jams, honey, raisins, etc. You will not be hungry for lunch any time soon after this breakfast. Each room has a hairdryer hardwired in the bathroom and accessible outlets for charging your phone. There is no outlet in the bathroom but I don't use a curling iron so this was no problem. There is an outlet near a full length mirror so anyone could use this. I like the European way of having the toilet in a separate room from the shower so there's no need to wait to use it. Even though the hotel is located in a city neighborhood, because the rooms and reception are located in a privatecourtyard, there is not any noticeable noise. Windows can be opened if you want fresh air. Hotel provides info on the City Pass for attractions, museums, palace, and transportation. I was visiting family so I didn't avail myself of the pass but it looks like a good deal. We stayed 5 nights in September 2022 and paid $600 which I found extremely reasonable considering you are staying in a major city. I pay more for a stay at a Holiday Inn Express in the US with only a basic breakfast.

I forgot that European hotels do not provide washcloths and forgot to bring my own but I had disposable facial cloths I used.

Interesting architecture, great room with very high ceilings, lots of space, kind employees, clean, good breakfast. Building entrance off the street.
