Overall, the hotel was acceptable for our 2 night stay. Conveniently located between 2 different metro lines, and also good connections for the trams. The room itself was nice, clean, and presentable. The door between the toilet and the shower was sliding, which was a bit of an unusual design. We had an outside terrace area on the top floor (7) which had a view of the west/south side of the city. We required an iron, and also a plug adapter which were provided with a refundable 10€ deposit.

The shower screen wasn't long enough, resulting in water going all over the floor in front of the sink. The table in the terrace area was wonky, so it wobbled with the glasses on top. We were given just 2 coffees pods, so required to ask for more for the second day. Be aware that the hotel is directly under the flight path, so constant aeroplanes coming in to land. The area itself has a lot of homeless people, so be vigilant when going to and from the metro.

Everything was perfect! The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was spotless clean, very modern, and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We chose a room with a terrace — definitely worth the extra cost, the view was stunning! The location is excellent, with great public transport connections. It’s just a few stops from the city center and very close to Mariahilfer Straße, perfect for shopping and exploring Vienna. The only small downside is that the hotel is next to a railway bridge, so you might hear some trains, but the soundproofing is really good and we weren’t disturbed at all when the windows were closed. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Vienna — great value, fantastic service, and an ideal location!

Hotel Review: Modern and Comfortable Stay Right by the Train If you’re looking for a hotel close to the train in Vienna, it doesn’t get any closer than this—you can literally see it pass by the window! Despite that, the hotel is well-insulated, so noise wasn’t an issue. The hotel itself is very new, modern, and extremely comfortable. The rooms are well-designed, though, as many have pointed out, the sliding door for the bathroom and toilet is a bit unusual. However, it wasn’t a problem and didn’t take away from the overall experience. A great choice for those who want a stylish, convenient stay with easy access to transport. Would definitely stay again!

24x7 reception and help and they even help get cabs easily. Location is easy on maps for Uber or Bolt pickups. Once inside the property external road noise is gone and it does feel safe. The staff were sweet and really helpful. Room was very comfortable and well maintained.

Location is a bit far from main city and at least 5 mins walk to closest public transport. The neighborhood may seem sketchy in the beginning and it's hard to judge if people walking by are safe or not. There is only 1 door that has to be moved between bathroom and toilet and that can be inconvenient for multiple people staying. They had a Google chrome cast but doesn't work as smart tv.

I had a very good experience at the Leonardo Hotel Vienna City West. The staff were very nice and helpful and the area was very accessible by public transport. The breakfast was also really nice. I traveled alone as a 20 year old woman for the first time and I'm very glad I picked this hotel! I always felt very safe and comfortable. When I was booking I saw many people commented that the train was disruptive at night, so I was a bit concerned about that. For no reason though, because the window did a very good job at keeping out the noise. And I'm a light sleeper!

When I was booking, some people mentioned the strangeness of the bathroom door (doesn't fully close). Because I was traveling alone, it wasn't a problem at all, but I recommend picking someone you're intimate with as your roomate!

We had an excellent stay in the hotel. The room spaces were exactly as shown in the provided pictures and very clean, the hotel was very close to the U4 metro line, served breakfast had many choices to pick and the staff was very friendly. I would choose it again 100%.

Bathroom shower didn't have a glass door to close so unfortunately all water spread along the bathroom and flooded a little bit. A small towel in the floor is needed to prevent this. Finally, something strange rather bad was that bathroom and WC shared one sliding door covering one of the two spaces at time. It was something you don't expect to see in a hotel room, so if you don't notice it in the room photos you may be surprised. Not a booking breaker for me though :) Just mentioning it.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a good size bed, a couple of mirrors that eased getting ready in the morning and clothes-hanging space. The room was equipped with everything you needed for a short trip to Vienna. Breakfast was really good also, and the staff helping during that time were super nice. The check-in process was great, as you could do it prior to your arrival, which in our case was fantastic because we arrived late at night.

The bathroom space was the only downer. The sliding door tended to go right, leaving the shower space always open; and, as the shower did not have a door on its own, the floor got wet even if you tried not to spill a lot of water. Anyways, it was manageable. All in all, it was super clean and equipped, so it wasn’t that bad.

Location is close to the city centar Vienna. I think it is 4 or 5 stations away from Leonardo Hotel. Our room had awesome views, and coffee and water were waiting for us as a complimentary welcome. The bed was extra comfortable, and the room was super clean.

Be aware that you can not check in before 3 pm. at this hotel. The stuff assisted us with everything, but they did not know to guide us where the closest stores are around the hotel. We found that for ourselves. You have a Spar store 5 min away. Don't go to the gas station it is more expensive than Spar. DM store is also close by if you need cosmetics or anything like that.

Clean, comfy room. Friendly staff, check-in and check-out were easy. Location is ok, ~5 minutes walk to the metro station then ~20 minutes into Central Vienna.

Room was very warm and air conditioning didn't seem to work so we just had to open the window luckily it was winter so cold outside. Wanted to make tea but there was no kettle just a coffee machine which kind of worked but not great. Bathroom door was a bit strange you could either have the door closed on the toilet or the shower but not both - not great if not a couple. Nearest metro station was slightly sketchy, we were told to be careful when using it.
