We stayed in a suite, which was a good size for a family with a child – spacious enough and comfortable in terms of layout. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the towels – although a bit old – were also clean and usable. Breakfast was definitely the highlight! It was the same spread every day, but very generous with lots of variety – enough that we managed to eat something different each of the 4 mornings we were there. The location is also great – there’s a metro station about 10 minutes away and a tram stop even closer. We were able to get to all the main attractions fairly easily. - the spa was clean and really useful for relaxation

The main issue was the noise. The walls are very thin, and we could hear everything from the room next door, including conversations and another child playing. Also, if there was an event at the opera nearby, the chatter outside would turn into a constant background noise. The suite had a shared terrace/balcony, which didn’t really feel private – people from other rooms could walk right past our windows. Cleanliness was also a downside: the bathtub was old and chipped, the corners of the room were dusty with what looked like long-term dirt, and the sofa needed a proper cleaning. Overall, the stay was decent, but definitely below what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.

Our room was spacious, clean, and airy – overall very comfortable. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. It was a nice touch that the receptionist could speak Russian, which made things easier for us. Since it was cold, they provided a heater in our room, and we really appreciated that gesture. The breakfast was excellent; very varied and delicious, and the coffee was absolutely fantastic. The hotel’s location might be a bit far from the city center, but it’s ideal for those who want to visit museums and explore the quieter parts of Vienna. We were really satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose the same hotel again if we return to Vien.

Located near to a tram and underground stop. Hotel breakfast was nice although more variety of cooked items would have been nice. Nicely decorated rooms and breakfast rooms.

Very small lifts... could be a problem if you don't like enclosed spaces... people need to be specially aware ... personal space Air conditioning / heating controls weren't working so had to have the window open to cool the room down... you would come back and find the housekeeping team had closed the windows do the room was like an oven. House keepers did minimal in the room... replaced toilet roll... that was about it. A couple of English channels on the tv would be good even if it was only woeld news.

We got a very good rate on short notice for two rooms we would otherwise not afford. Location in Vienna was excellent - close to everything walking or easy public transport. Good quality hotel, but a little bit tired around the edges.

Overall the room fit out is just a tiny bit tired, but not oppressively. It has been maintained but is older. Just we stayed in some much newer hotels on out trip, or better value at full price. There is a very noisy Theater right across the road, but only till about 10pm, and it is atmospheric.

the breakfast was great and the staff were very good. Location was good as it was just outside a tram station which was handy. Aldi near by which was great too. The wide variety on the breakfast was really good.

Bed could have been more comfortable and the blankets we a bit too small. We paid for a double bed and got single beds pushed together - we will only go for actual double beds from now on as we thought it was uncomfortable for both of us!

Well i hope Karcsi sees this review, because he is the BEST HUNGARIAN RECEPTIONIST IN THE WORLD. so give him a pay raise because he is exceptional at his job. Kind soul, humble and funny. He helped me get a flower to someone VERY special to me. So I will be forever in his debt for that. Köszi nagyon Karcsi !!:))))))

The bathroom had rust under the mirror. 512 room. Patchwork on the bathtub was very visible and made it look extremely cheap, definitely not what one would expect from a 4star hotel

It was our first time to Vienna and this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The hotel location was very conveniently located right down the road from the train station as well as down the road from the shopping street MariahilfStasse.. the Metro station is very convenient as well that leads to the main shopping district Stephenplatz. The rooms were relatively spacious and really clean/comfortable. The hotel staff were really friendly, special shoutout to Mark who was really nice and friendly. Upon check in he gave us some tips and recommendations on places to go and how to get about Vienna. He always went out of his way to recommend places for us to visit on our day trip to Budapest. Which was also very beautiful! Overall experience at this hotel was great and definitely highly recommended! Thank you Mark and Mercure hotel!

Hotel location was excellent, breakfast was very good too.

The curtains in the room seemed that they had not been washed for ages! The bed was excellent; however, the pillows were uncomfortable, and no extras were available in the room. There were also no top bedsheets, and to cover up, one had to use the quilt or nothing! Also, 2 towels were stained with what looked like blood or red wine!

I appreciated that the bathtub met my expectations, with hot water that was even hotter than desired, which is important to me when choosing a hotel. The bathroom was spacious, adding to the overall comfort. The room itself was also spacious, with bright colors that made it feel fresh and inviting. The reception staff were helpful, providing a mini map for tourist purposes when asked. Additionally, the air conditioner was working well, keeping the room comfortable.

There were a few areas that could be improved. No bottled water was provided, which I usually expect, although I was told that the tap water is safe to drink in all of Vienna. My room was near the elevator, which was noisy at night due to frequent use, and no earplugs were provided to help mitigate this. The parking lot was fully occupied, and I was redirected to another hotel’s parking facilities nearby, which was inconvenient. Additionally, while the air conditioner worked effectively, it was a bit loud, and earplugs would have been a useful addition.

It's a nice place to stay in a safe area. Despite of what is said about poor breakfast choices, it was one of the most diverse and best breakfast I ever had in a hotel. They give you plenty of fruits, tea, milk, fresh bread, juice, delicious cheese and not only. It'a linked to 3 subways, easy to get by foot and also it has a wonderful comercial area close to it. Also, Raimond Theatre it is just on the other side of the street. They helped me even with german translation in order to buy a ticket at the State Opera. So i totally recomend it for a safe place to stay. The room is big enough, they offer youa bottle of water in the first night.

There are some things that can be cleaner or replaced.
