I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mirabeau hotel in Lausanne, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Everyone I encountered was professional, courteous, and genuinely kind, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel restaurant deserves special mention as well—the food was exquisite, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes. The service was impeccable, and every meal felt like a five-star dining experience. However, the true highlight of my stay was Charlotte, the receptionist. Charlotte is an absolute gem—her professionalism, warmth, and efficiency truly set her apart. She greeted me with a radiant smile, answered every question I had with care and patience, and ensured that every aspect of my stay was seamless. Charlotte’s genuine enthusiasm for her work and her remarkable ability to make guests feel valued and special left a lasting impression on me. Thank you to everyone at Mirabeau for an unforgettable experience. I will definitely be returning and recommending this wonderful place to my friends and family!

If there is anything I would change is to change the two single beds into a queen bed instead.

Charming hotel, very art deco. Perfect location- 7 mins from the train station without feeling you are by a train station. You are given a pass for all metro and buses which was super convenient as Lausanne though compact and walkable is very hilly. Beautiful bar and restaurant on the premises.

I loved this property and my well appointed room with a small balcony but the bed was thin and lumpy. I will definitely stay here again but request an extra comforter or something.

Quiet, clean, and reasonable comfortable. The staff were very helpful and even contacted Booking.com when I told them that Booking.com failed to respond to the 2 messages I sent.

Not about the hotel; but about my experience with Booking.com. I only booked 3 n, but Booking.Com made it for 4 nights. I sent two messages and nobody got back to me. The hotel reception prison was kind enough to also email Booking.com on my behalf. Still haven't heard back. So, maybe, book the hotel, but don't do it through this site.

Bochra and Aiguerim went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my time there. Upon arrival, they generously upgraded my room to accommodate my request for a peaceful environment, and it made all the difference. Additionally, despite my early arrival at around Ten in the morning, they kindly facilitated an early check-in at no extra cost, understanding my exhaustion from a long train journey. Their thoughtfulness and dedication truly exemplify the quality of service at this establishment. Aside from the outstanding staff, the hotel's prime location, right next to Lausanne Central Station and with a bus stop nearby, made getting around a piece of cake. Overall, while the hotel itself offers a pleasant experience, it is truly the exceptional staff that sets it apart. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile make this establishment a standout choice for who are seeking not just accommodation, but genuine hospitality. Highly recommended.

While the rooms had a bit of an old-fashioned vibe, a modern renovation could really enhance their appeal.

My son lives in Lausanne near the hotel and we were having a family Christmas with other family flying in and staying elsewhere. We stayed at the hotel for four nights. The hotel upgraded us to a suite with lake views. The facilities in the room were excellent and the room very clean and the views amazing. Staff were great. Breakfast was a full buffet and there was everything there you could want. I have stayed elsewhere in Lausanne which have been very good but this is the best place we have stayed. I could not fault it and would happily stay there again. Good Christmas decorations as well. We did not use the hotel restaurant in the evenings but it seemed very well supported.

The only thing I can possibly mention is there was no gym, unless I missed it. But it was Christmas after all.

Nice room- we paid extra for a room overlooking the lake/garden and so we were not facing the busy street. In retrospect the windows seemed tight enough that it wasn't necessary. When we first arrived- the hotel lobby was blazing hot- they had fans at the reception desk. Our room was hot but eventually we found it cool enough to sleep. A/c in Europe is not what we have in the US. the breakfast was very nice with hot/cold buffet and included in our room price. It was 25 CHF pp if not included. this was the most expensive room we had in Switzerland our entire 3.5 weeks- I liked the proximity to the train station which is why I chose this hotel. There is also a Movenpick nearby which is closer and likely less $. We stayed for 6 nights and the breakfast staff were wonderful- she even knew we wanted double expressos in the morning. This was the most expensive stay of our 3.5 weeks in Switzerland and I would say there is high value here.

Our shower was tiny but that was the case everywhere in Switzerland- otherwise the bathroom was nice. The reception staff was cold at best and sometimes seemed too busy to respond to our needs. I found a tick on my pillow after the first night of our stay and the response was "we will change all the bedding"- they do allow pets everywhere in Switzerland including this hotel- at this point I was tired enough to not ask for anything else but I did think it was kind of marginal compensation for finding a tick on my pillow. Dinner seemed overpriced so we never ate dinner here.

Breakfast was tasty, particularly the coffee and pastry selection. Service was great, didn't have any issues checking in late. We also got a selection of must see tourist attractions from the front desk staff, which was appreciated.

The room was a bit on the smaller side, as we didn't have much room to put our luggage. The hotel was a bit on the more premium end price wise, but was a bit on the older side. Overall it was still decently maintained.

Bed was really comfy Location excellent: just few minutes from bus stop to down town Breakfast excellent with wide variety ... love the salmon ! Water w lemon in the reception Transportation card makes my stay easy !

Small room without balcony. I requested to change it whenever possible especially I was staying for 8 days, 2 different staff at reception refused as its not possible & this what I paid for !!! But it turned out that this was the only room without balcony. I really did not like their answer. 8 days stay is long period enough to promote me to a different room with balcony!

Amazing place - it's an old building, but it's precisely maintained to show its age with dignity, and to maintain it spirit at the same time with making guests feel super comfortable. From check-in to check-out, everything was superb: attentive and helpful staff, aid with parking, the room and the view, the building itself, the breakfast - I haven't had such a sublime hotel experience in a long while. And it's very decently priced, too. Highly recommend for staying in Lausanne.

They have a limited number of parking spaces in a garage across the road, so you might need to consider other options in advance (street parking or one of many Lausanne's parking garages) - though I'm sure hotel would help you if you reach out.

The room service was excellent. Never had the chance to go for breakfast as we were always out or sleeping but the Lunch and Dinner are excellent. I felt that the price could be reviewed as it was a bit expensive but the taste was there.

This is just a suggestion but the room decoration could be a upgrade. But was not bad at all..it gave a bit of charm to the hotel.
