I have stayed there many times since this Hotel opened. This is the first time I have stayed in Hotel suite. The room was large with a spacious private outdoor space. Bed was comfortable with a great shower.

I was charged for parking which I never have in the past & I have stayed there many times. The receptionist wouldn’t waive the fee as well as not offering me breakfast offer when checking in. Room could do with a microwave & sink as there is waisted space next to the fridge. TV volume set & needs to be louder. I spoke to reception about this when checking out & I was informed that I could have contacted reception if I wanted the volume raised. There was no information in the room that I could request this. They should also offer a continental breakfast as $28 for full breakfast a bit excessive.

Lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms, very easy access to airport. The dining area and public bar were excellent and there were lots of space to sit and work

WIFI didn’t work in my room which is why I sat in the public area to work ( which was fine ). I never got a receipt despite ringing three times for it to be sent, I requested one at check out and was told it would be sent in a few days, 6 weeks later and after 3 phone calls and emails I gave up asking for one. The location is great for airport access but there isn’t much to do there with very limited walk tracks or restaurants in the area

It was great to have a room with a lounge and a table and chairs so you had options for where to sit (beside the bed). Comfortable bed, good shower and bathroom and nicely decorated. The breakfast was good and we had lunch in the restaurant when we arrived and it was great. While it is located in Braddon, be aware it's a 15-20 minute walk (or a quick tram ride) to the restaurant/shop part of Braddon. Love the $10 food and beverage voucher if you don't get your room serviced – good to see some hotels encouraging guests to save on cleaning costs and resources!!

You could hear the plumbing from upstairs – lots of gurgling – but it's a small quibble.

I recently stayed at Deco Hotel Canberra and couldn’t have been more impressed. From start to finish, my experience was exceptional: Room The room itself was fantastic—spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with plush linens that made it hard to leave in the morning. Thoughtful touches like a Nespresso machine, a well-stocked mini‑bar, and automated blackout curtains ensured both convenience and comfort. Staff Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make my stay special. From the warm welcome at check‑in to the attentive housekeeping team, we felt genuinely cared for. Downstairs Bar The downstairs bar was a highlight. The cocktail menu was creative and extensive, and each drink was expertly crafted. Breakfast Breakfast in the morning was incredible. The buffet offered a wide variety of hot dishes alongside fresh pastries, seasonal fruits, and delicious Bircher muesli. The coffee was excellent, and the breakfast service team kept everything replenished and welcoming.

Good hotel and excellent location to Civic Centre of Canberra

When I check in advised I would receive a discount for food or a drink whilst I was staying there. When it came to the time to ask for this discount the restaurant staff stated I had to have voucher from reception. When I checked with Reception staff they were very cold and claimed I never received a voucher or was not entitled to such an offer. Made a good stay into a bad experience. However I did enjoy the hotel room and the location of hotel were very nice.

Clean and comfortable. Easy to get to from the airport and not far from city centre. There is a convenience store nearby where you can get most goodies. Room service was also surprisingly delicious! Staff were friendly and you can postpone room cleaning for $10/day credit towards the restaurant (although I didn’t end up using it). Generally don’t need rooms to be made up for a short stay :)

Terrible phone reception, but I think this must just be a Canberra thing. But the hotel has wifi and you can make calls via wifi. TV wasn’t a smart TV, couldn’t airplay from mobile or laptop.

Absolutely nothing.

Location, convenience, parking. Bed and pillows were comfortable, and room amenities were better than good. Enjoyed the shower and towels were very fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was prompt and food tasty; I would have the Spaghetti with Napoli sauce again for sure.

The carpet was somewhat dirty, the front and side of the kitchen peninsula had not been cleaned, there were stains from food/drinks. The in-house movies didn't work for 2 hours on first night and froze again on the second night, however staff fixed it quickly. I did get a refund on first night movies, however.

A solid eight (8.0) with no significant negative issues. Location is accessible to central Canberra and all major sites, but be aware, Canberra is a “Car Town”, not a place for a walk-about. There is a tram line 300 meters from the front door, but not useful to the non-local visitor as it is known by locals as the “Tram to no-where”. There is some green space in the vicinity. None of this reflects on the Hotel. The staff are a highlight, efficient check-in and check-out. Food service is expertly handled by Monsieur Fung, the manager and his assistant Sandhy (sp.). The bar offers a limited item “Happy Hour”. Beds are comfortable and although Northbourne is a major artery it is quiet at bedtime. Underground parking is available at no extra charge w ith in and out access via your door key. Breakfast and dinner are no frills but fine if you prefer on site dining. Room size is better than average and our room had a nice balcony (a significant +). The wireless functioned well, but you may have to re-sign on several times.

The negatives are more in the range of minor annoyances as opposed to “deal breakers”. Plumbing issues include intermittent slight whiffs of ode de “sewer” in the bathroom (not predictable) and surges when showering by the hot water (Consider yourself forewarned). On the electrical side of things, the controls (Can only speak to our room) are a combination of manual and automatic. A bit disconcerting when the curtains close on entry and the lights go on by themselves. This is followed by the fact that not all controls function for all features. There are several panels around the room in variable working order. I noted that even housekeeping staff had problems in making the controls respond. Suspect this is a combination electrical/design/Artificial intelligence issue.
