Very friendly front desk... comfortable beds... CLose to everything..7 min to beach...lots of restaurants to choose from even one on property...

Parking is right out room door...upon arriving no problem... When we came back after dinner no parking circled building and someone pulled out so we parked.. Few doors down from ours, which was occupied...10 min later knock at our door someone was upset we parked in there spot... We explained someone was in our spot... Although parking is not labeled we didn't want to start any problems.. manager called... Other people parked few spots away from there door... Maybe parking should just be labeled each room☺️ not a big problem Thank goodness other party was nice about it to... Just uncomfortable to have people knocking and confronting about such issues...

Size of the room (we had a Superior King, as booked). New bathroom suite and sink, all new and fresh. Daily full housekeeping service. The room and the motel in general are very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The pool is nice and well-heated. One bedside lamp didn’t work upon arrival but was exchanged straight away. Location was good for our purpose. Attached to the motel is the Blu Island Bistro, an absolutely amazing breakfast (and lunch) place with the friendliest staff you could wish for. Also within walking distance is the Gold Rush BBQ, a great place to eat and moderately priced.

Two hard flat pillows each, very uncomfortable. No bathroom extraction fan. Instead, there is a screened small window which doesn’t really get the humidity out. The A/C spread a musty smell, maybe the filter wants cleaning.

The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. The refrigerator and microwave were a plus. The rooms have a nice little table so you can have breakfast or eat a lite meal a t night. The pool was very clean and the water temperature was excellent. The owners were always very nice and polite and tried their best to give us everything we needed. They even land us couple of mugs to make tea. The location is superbe. We were less than a mile to Venice Beach and the same from downtown historical center. It took us less than 5 minutes by car to reach either. I highly recommend this place. The price, the location, the pool, the cleanliness, the comfort of the beds and the nice owners, all of that was amazing. you can't goo wrong. You will love it.

Everything was excellent.

Everything was great. Our room was fantastic, we had a standard room with queen size beds. I don't know what all the complaints and bad reviews are about. The pool area was tidy, the pool looked very clean. The cleanliness was top-notch, the beds were comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. There's a cute breakfast place next door. Value for money? Absolutely!

Three very minor points. The pillows are a bit flat, so I'd request a couple of extras if pillows are important to you. The soundproofing is not perfect and one bed was a bit squeaky. None of these things would prevent me from either recommending this accommodation or staying again.

Pool was spotless- grounds were nice. Room was clean and the price was good. Will definitely stay here again for a night when trying to go to the beach on a budget.

Doors just need to be replaced or painted. Outside entrance to the rooms is unattractive but once you walk in you feel much better and the door leading into the courtyard and pool area is so much more inviting. I did bring my own pillows after reading reviews and was glad I did.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are old, and in need for updating. But they were clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable . The pool area was kept clean. There was plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella tables to sit and enjoy by the pool and grounds. Also there was always a staff member around if one needs something. The restaurant next-door was very reasonably priced and had a warm friendly staff. There were 2 restaurants in walking distance for dinner dinning. Due to allergies we needed a NO PETS motel.

The doors could do with up dated locks!! I felt that the room door from the parking lot could be kicked in very easily. The bath towels were very old and thread bare.

The cleanliness of the rooms and the customer service was fantastic. Their pool is very nice and the hotel is conveniently located to the center of town. It’s not common to have your room mopped every day, but they do it here. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay with no frills, this is your spot. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel is a little dated, but they make up for it by keeping it exceptionally clean and they have fantastic customer service. They’re also installing a new metal roof which will be very nice when completed.

Comfortable bed. Refurbished older motel. Nice to park by our door and have poolside courtyard out the patio door. Walked to a few great eating places. Quiet area. Felt safe and secure. Full size appliances. Location was a short drive to the pier and Caspersen Beach. We went to look for sharks teeth. Would stay again if coming for shark teeth and a short stay. Pool was lovely and warm.

Staff member was new and didn't know anything about the area. He gave me a local map. Otherwise staff friendly and available if needed. Plenty of locals that we got info from when eating.

Felt like home away from home. It was nice and cozy. The little restaurant attached was delicious, and just everything is close by, so convenient.

Dresser and end tables were worn out, there was a broken alarm clock shoved in a drawer but other than that can't complain.

It was a great location. Clean and beautiful pool area. Too cold to use it but beautiful.

The rooms could use a little touch up. Such as painted on like doors. Even night stands. Wet spots on the ceiling. Did the wall paper where that wet was. Little things like this could make a huge difference. The bathroom had something broken off I’d either take that off or put something there.
