We love the location, our room, the food except the church bells, it's loud. Special mention to Igor Simie and Medy. They're very helpful, kind, friendly, and very accommodating. They both exceeded our expectations. Thank you very much!!

We checked out on September 26, 2024 at around 6:15 a.m. to catch our early flight. I asked nicely the staff (woman) on duty if we can have a cup of coffee and one croissant each for our breakfast. She said NO because breakfast opens at 7:30 and that she's very busy and alone at that time. She was very nasty. She turned around and went inside the kitchen. How long will it take her to provide what I'm requesting for? She was very unprofessional. We were very disappointed with her attitude. Our breakfast that morning was already paid, included with the total bill paid.

The location was wonderful: close to the old town but tucked away near a quiet plaza. The valet service was nice and the parking charge (SF28). The room was clean and spacious and well appointed. The breakfasts were spectacular but -- like most of the breakfasts in most European hotels -- very expensive (SF21/person). I would definitely recommend this hotel AND would grab a coffee and pastry at any one of the many patisseries nearby.

The only surprise was the cost of the attached restaurant. My wife and I had traditional and simple Swiss dishes -- no appetizers or desserts -- and two glasses of wine. The bill was SF170 (USD$185). While Switzerland is more expensive that many countries, this seemed excessive. (Why didn't we eat elsewhere? We didn't know the prices when we accepted the hotel's offer to book a reservation for the day we arrived.) I'm not complaining as I readily paid the price AND the food was delicious, I'm simply giving others a heads up.

Location was amazing (right next to the Luzernerhof bus station, the waterfront, a beautiful church and a few cafes) and it was the cutest hotel! We loved how historical it felt and how the room was decorated, which looked out over the street. The amenities were also just what we needed — a comfy bed, good areas to store luggage, and it never felt too hot or too cold! We also loved the free apples they offered at the front — a perfect small snack to take on our adventures around Luzern.

This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but floors were pretty creaky and sound travelled, so every time the guests above us walked around or talked loudly we could hear it. I had earplugs so I was able to sleep despite it, but my friend had trouble sleeping.

The Hotel Rebstock is a hidden gem tucked sideways off the main promenade at Lucerne, literally 10 minutes' walk from the Central Station. Though the exterior is very old (15th C), all the facilities inside were tip-top and everything one would expect: spacious room, huge super-comfy bed, wonderful bath, and all the usual things. Breakfast was served from a continental buffet and was quite simply superb of its type with freshly baked breads and rolls. If you wanted fried eggs and bacon, you could get it! Excellent coffee - as standard! Probably the best 'continental breakfast' I've had. We dined in the hotel restaurant one night: traditional Swiss menu and local wine. The service from the receptionist was first-class: she was exceptionally helpful in sorting out a USB charger. Excellence is normal here.

Just bear in mind that prices in Switzerland are high. (But if you think Lucerne is pricey, Zurich is insane!) Once over that hurdle, forget about it and enjoy!

The hotel is an old building with character in a central and on a pedestrian area near a church. It is within easy walking distance of the station, approx 15 mins with bags, and it's a lovely scenic walk. The restaurant has a good range of food all day and we chose to eat there one evening. The menu was had a good range of food at reasonable (for Switzerland) prices. We had to be relocated indoors when a thunderstorm arrived but it was a well managed process. There was an excellent choice at breakfast too. The room was small and a bit dark but comfortable with a fan rather than air con. We did some rearranging of the furniture to better suit our needs. The bathroom had a quirky tile design and was also small but perfectly functional. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful with left luggage.

Some staff were lovely but others less so. Check in was very confusing, and chaotic, with my room not becoming available until after 4pm and three missing bags (which were quickly found). Slightly uncomfortable that I had to explain my same sex partner would share a bed with me. (She insisted several times that the room doesn’t have an extra twin bed.) The barista at the coffee shop (part of hotel) was not the most pleasant fella but he shouldn’t be the only person working during morning rush.

The location of this hotel is amazing - it walkable to everything within the city of Luzern. The hotel is very cute, we booked it especially because it's known as an art hotel - and I loved seeing the art throughout. The Vesper bar that's attached is also super cute and cool. The room was nice and big, and they provided a fan (which was wonderful in the summer heat with no AC).

We drove to the hotel, and it was definitely challenging finding where to pull up - you can pull right in front of the hotel to drop your luggage off and check-in, but as an American tourist, it felt like we were driving into a no-car zone. Also, the city itself is tricky to navigate if you aren't used to driving in the bigger Swiss cities. The parking garage is a bit of a walk from the hotel - just down the street, but important to know that parking isn't on the property. As with most beautiful, historic hotels in Switzerland - no AC in the rooms, and the elevators didn't go to our room. This is the norm, but good to know in advance.

Our room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The balcony was small but useable. The location was within walking distance of the train/bus station, the Chapel Bridge area, Old Town and Lake Lucerne. The elevator was fast and convenient, and we appreciated the in room safe and refrigerator.

We slept with the windows open for the cool air, but that let in a lot of street and patio noise from below. This was only a problem one of the nights we were there. The lighting in our room was darker than what we prefer. Our shower door only covered a third of the tub/shower combination, so that was a little odd.

Close to old Town, 10 min from the train station, bus stop half a block away. I could see the lake from our room. We had twin beds that were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, bread, cheese, salmon roles, cereal, and you can order eggs and bacon. Attention to detail seems to be what they are all about. There were steps into the hotel and to the elevator but we were in our 70s and had no problems. The staff take care of you. They met us, brought the luggage up to our rooms. They had umbrellas for rainy days and help you navigate the city, busses and help make other arrangements. They let us keep our luggage there so we could tour the city before our flight out. It has character not a vanilla place to stay. The rooms are different. Ours had a sofa but our friends' did not. I loved the bathroom mirrors set up so you can see the back of your head. We enjoyed our stay. I have nothing negative to say.

It’s very close to Lucerne train station, also close to all the city attractions. Everything in walking distance; A bit hard to find in my first day using Google map, but it’s actually right beside the big church and easy to find in the next few days The staff are incredibly friendly, also helped me to bring my luggage up the stairs, and on my check out day. The room is spacious compared to my hotel stay in Zurich, and quite clean, I have back problem so I used the sofa bed, it’s quite firm and comfortable.
