Great rooms, great staff on reception, a young lady very helpful. Breakfast is also a halal option. No complaints.

My only issue is the bed! So hard, basic and very uncomfortable! They need to replace the hard mattresses!! I also had a fall because one of the “entrances” from the pavement has a slight raised lips to the “courtyard” and I tripped and fell! There needs to be white or yellow paint to highlight this lip! I badly bruised my knee and elbow but the guys on reception provided me with ice and bandages!! I survived!!! I’m not a youngster (in my 70s) and I could easily have broken a bone or even had concussion it was sheer luck my bag and hoodie broke my fall!!

Have stayed before, but not for a few Years and have always thought the hotel is nice and conveniently located, the complimentary breakfast has always been a nice touch and of good quality. Hotel is clean and good in room facilities.

I booked through booking.com - for which my default payment card is Amex, which the hotel doesn't accept, I only found this out in the hours leading up to my check in after a couple of missed calls from the hotel. I was a bit concerned that I was no longer going to be able to stay and might have to change my plans, so if this can be mitigated for future guests, then I think this would be a plus - I wasn't in a position to take the calls initially and had to call back and was also checking in late.

Breakfast was very good and in a beautiful room. Plenty of parking, friendly and helpful staff. Room size was reasonable for price. Nice en-suite bathroom. WiFi good. You can order dinner from a simple menu that is low price. Helpful if you don’t feel like going out. If you order the Asian food, it’s a bit on the spicy side.

Beds are comfy for most people and I did manage to sleep but because I have arthritis in my spine, I need a less firm spring mattress without the soft cushioning layer on top for greater comfort.

I love the downstairs decor, they hold FABULOUS weddings and events here and I was able to witness a wonderful Nigerian Wedding and all its pomp and glory and the wonderful decorations the hotel provided for the nuptials The rooms are clean and adequate for me but perhaps a bit small for couples. The bathrooms are small but functional if a little “tired” looking. There was an automatic light in there so you had to keep the door closed or it would pop on and off! They provide a buffet breakfast (included) which for me was perfect but maybe if you want a full English you’d need to get up early as by 9am there’s very little left! There is also on site parking which is very safe. All in all I like it here for what I need and it’s my second year using it

Ok, it’s not in an exactly “nice” area, it’s a bit seedy set among industrial type businesses and buildings. As for the rooms they need a bit of an update and the beds are like a rock! Great if you don’t have bone/back issues but a nightmare if you do. The shower tray in my room (103) was positively dangerous as it was very very slippery and I had to hold on for dear life or I’d have fallen, I didn’t ask for a mat etc as I was only there 2 nights but would have if I had been there longer. There wasn’t a towel bath mat and the housekeeper just told me to use a regular towel to stand on outside the shower!

I liked everything about the hotel. It was conducive for myself and my family, and the comfort was exceptional. We had a great time, and the staff was all welcoming. The environment was calm and perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a nice, affordable, and conducive hotel to stay. Thank you so much Grand Sapphire Hotel.

Breakfast was bad Not even fresh coffee but sachets like in the rooms. OK for the room but not for breakfast.

The hotel is located in an Industrial estate, not really close to any restaurants or a town centre. The room was a standard double bed room, clean and with a lovely view of the air con pipes and a wall out of the window, no food or bar available during the day and the breakfast was fair from continental.

I did think it was a bit expensive for what you got!

I liked how it looks very modern with a beautiful marble floor and the receptionist is very welcoming. Also having a complimentary cold/ hot breakfast is nice not a Huge variety though.

I didn’t like how it was very hard to use my key for my door and to open the handle and then it wouldn’t work. You almost have to listen to the rhythm of the beep and push down hard on the handle.

Comfy bed, clean.

Lots of noise as this is on an industrial estate, my room was overlooking a noisy business . It did quieten down after 6.30. Breakfast is makeshift, boil a kettle, limited offerings, no bacon, chipolata sausage, not a proper breakfast.
