Castel Fleuri was very close to the center of Tours. The hotel was located less than a 5-minute walk from Wilson Bridge, which directly connects to the city center of Tours. However, when arriving by car, we had to follow one-way street directions that took us up the hill and back down. Initially, I thought it was too remote, but after parking the car and moving around on foot, it was actually very convenient. The hotel was somewhat old, and the drainage wasn't functioning well. We had to be careful to keep the shower pressure low to prevent water from pooling in the shower stall. Everyone working at the hotel was friendly, and the owners themselves prepared breakfast. Breakfast was a simple meal mainly consisting of bread, butter, and coffee, and we also got to try canelés.

A lovely little hotel, brilliantly positioned on the banks of The Loire. Cannot praise the owners enough - friendly, helpful and determined that we had a great time in their hotel. The room was beautifully presented; very clean, incredibly well maintained (when we turned up, new beds were being delivered for some of the rooms) and all the fixtures and fittings wee excellent. Lots of hot water, a really nice shower and a lovely 'homely' vibe to the whole place. The hotel is on the other side of the river from the Old Town & the big tourist spots (cathedral etc.), but there is a tram stop just round the corner (very frequent, very cheap) or a lovely walk across the river on a pedestrian bridge, which gets you to the main shopping/restaurant/cultural hub within 10 minutes. Also, great car parking on site! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely, friendly family run hotel that made us feel right at home straight away. Free car park, large enough to actually manoeuvre your car in! Brilliant location. A short walk across the bridge and you are in Tours (ten mins). Wonderful breakfast with great variety, including ham, cheese, hard boiled eggs, artichoke hearts, different sorts of bread - all sorts of things and great coffee. Large, comfy bed. We would definitely stay here again and having just stayed in seven different hotels, this was our favourite. So many châteaux in the area, there would be loads to do and see.

The owner and his team were excellent; very welcoming and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and spotless. It had a little terrace outside with table and chairs. The whole hotel was very clean. There was plenty for breakfast. The hotel was well situated for getting a tram or walking into town, but was in a quiet area.

The ground floor room was small with little natural light but it was only for one night, so not a problem. Bath towels were on the small side for us. Reception hours were limited but it is a small hotel and the owners live on the premises.

The owner, Pascal and his wife and their team are eceptional. Pascal in particular couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, from messaging us when we were delayed to check we were OK, through to giving us a thorough overview of the beautiful city of Tours and its surroundings. We left feeling that we'd seen what true hospitality is like. Our room had been recently redecorated and the bed was very comfortable. I recommend breakfast!

Nothing to dislike.

Room was good for an overnight stay in Tours, within easy walking distance of the main sites and with onsite parking and a little outdoor seating area. The staff were helpful when we arrived before check-in time in allowing us to park, use the toilet, and provide a map of the city.

If you have two older teenagers travelling with you, as we did, be aware that the fourth bed in the room is a pull out chair-bed, which was a bit of a squeeze for a fifteen year old. That having been said, we all got a nights sleep at a decent cost.

Very nice staff / owners. Location great for access to the river, bridges, and historical town of Tours. Small car park on site. Room was cute, clean and basic (per expectations and price) and the breakfast room was very sweet, with a choice ranging from various types of toast and bread, yoghurt, fruit, jams, and come cheese / eggs. A few sweet cereals too.

Everything was fine - there are a few narrow streets to drive through (we have a large car) in the last couple of minutes to get there, but worth it for the good location.

The service was exceptional. They made it feel like home. and were extremely accommodating and friendly. It was really important and stress-free to have complimentary parking. That is extremely unusual in cities in Europe I've noticed. The location of the hotel was ideal as we were in a quiet area but could easily walk to the City Center. The staff were so friendly -They literally greeted me when I arrived, walked me to the room - and came outside to bid farewell when I left. I will definitely be coming back.

We were greeted with a very friendly receptionist who explained everything and showed us our room - a nice touch indeed. The free parking was great, especially as we had two road bikes on our car that needed to be kept secure. The room was a good size, very clean and well-decorated in a contemporary style. The location is fabulous, in a quiet area, very accessible to the centre of Tours (10-min walk), but also easy to get back out onto the main roads when travelling. The host was really friendly and helpful in the morning and the breakfast was great - a brilliant selection, including a huge range of jams and local honey, which was another lovely touch. Would very highly recommend.

This hotel is a gem, with it being in a great location. Parking was a bonus as the hotel is situated within a couple of minutes from the centre of Tours, close to shops, bars and restaurants. Booking in was quick and staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was perfect and clean. The room was a good size and very comfortable. We had a good night's sleep and would come back again on the way to our house in France.
