The room was very clean and it was very quiet even though close to a main road,the beds was so comfortable I slepted like a log,the room was a great size had all we needed..air con was great..didn't stay for food as we wasn't bothered about so can't comment on that,booking in was inside the pub which confused me at first but they couldn't do enought for us if we needed anything..would definitely come and stay here again if we are up this way x

That we couldn't stay longer

The room was lovely a bit over priced for what we got Only one bath towel between 2 people Very tiny cups for a brew and only 2 tea bags and sachets of coffees The toilet roll was terrible thin had to go out and purchase For the money we paid expected to have breakfast included but it wasn’t so in my opinion a bit expensive for what we got Even though we was visiting family we will never stay there again When we could have stayed at a bb for £60 a night

The staff are always great at this hotel. The accommodation is good and the rooms are fine for what need, we have always been happy with them.

The air con was broken in our room this time. It did work but it was really noisy and making gurgling drain noises which made it hard to sleep. There was also chocolate or something smeared up one wall but we would stay there again as they have always been good with us. It was quite a bit more expensive than last year though. Also there was a fun day which looked good but it would have been nice to have known in advance of coming.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, staff were up to the mark, bar was quite ice. meal 1 - leak and potato pie although tasty was a bit stodgy, very mean portion of peas which were over cooked, chips were good. meal 2 - Salad with crispy cauliflower was good but side of chips was a little mean but good. breakfast "sandwich" as requested beans, mushrooms and veggy sausage was ok, would have been better with better bread rather than cheap white and would have been better with butter applied.

A door closer to the accommodation block at the restaurant would help especially in poor weather. Existing entrance is diametrically as far away as you could get! Accommodation block public area is soulless and uninviting. You lost my second night stay as the pricing matrix jacked up the price for it even though you had empty rooms that night

Good location for visiting family.

Wasn't as clean as previous trips.only two tea bags for two people for two nights used to get biscuits and water.over all okay but not as good as before.missing out not including breakfast like before with cheaper options on doorstep

Close to where we needed to be.

Some small issues in the room. Curtain rail not attached to wall fully. Sink had a crack and there was a hole in the wall behind bathroom door. We needed extra bedding as we're using 2 beds but this was provided when we asked. Would have liked mugs to drink out of and not small cups but overall staff were lovely and everything was provided that we needed.

Easy location to find and access just outside of Stevenston. Rooms are basic but comfy, clean and functional - on a par with Premier Inn, that sort of thing. All the staff we dealt with were excellent, very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was pretty ordinary - in particular the Lorne Sausage on the Scottish Breakfast was rubbery as if it had been left sitting in a warmer for an hour after being cooked. That was a personal disappointment, being the first time in about 15 years I'd had the chance to eat it. I would say in the kitchen's defence we had dinner in the pub/restaurant as well, and that was genuinely excellent.

The Bedroom was of ample proportions with a nicely laid out Bathroom/Toilet Area. Very Comfortable Large Double Bed, very quiet at night & had good size TV on wall at base of Bed & sufficient Tea/Coffee making facilities. Nice Restaurant opposite Hotel ( Reception for Hotel is actually in Restaurant so best to check in to get Room Key before unloading bags etc ) Aidan ( staffmember ) was good at making sure that everything was to our satisfaction, as were other waitresses in the Restaurant. There is also a Greggs,KFC & Costa Coffee all within a few paces from Hotel so Food Options are fairly good.

Slight criticism is that Ground Floor of Hotel had a slight smell of cigarette smoking, but second floor was free of any odours ( our Room was thankfully Second Floor ), Bar shuts at 2130 (9.30pm) so you need to plan carefully if you like to relax in the evening with a few drinks Check Out on a Sunday is 11am, at 10am the Cleaning Staff ( 1x Female ) attempted to enter the Room, I think if I hadn't been so quick to hide behind the Room Door before she got full entry she might have witnessed a " Full Monty " experience.

Helpful and pleasant staff. Great location. Having the Rex Squirrel restaurant on site was great. Also having Costas and Greggs close by was a bonus for a quick coffee or sandwich. There was a KFC and Dominoes near by too.
