The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and they were very accommodating on any special requests when booking the rooms. When my family and I arrived at the hotel to check in, we were provided with a walking map of the city - extremely helpful! They also provided us a helpful tip on how to avoid pickpockets. The night before we flew back to the United States, the hotel receptionist arranged a cab/shuttle for the six of us (at a lower price than what the cab would have charged if we booked them directly). Since we were flying out early, they also arranged for us to have an early breakfast - which by the way, was very good. I highly recommend Hotel Columbia.

The hotel had great staff. They helped us call a taxi, offered recommendations, and were flexible with service of the room. It was a good size room for a European hotel. The rooftop patio was great for breakfast or grabbing a drink in the evening - the staff here again were amazing. The area was central to much of what Rome has to offer and was affordable.

There was very little to complain about. The room was slightly outdated and the tub was a bit odd shape. The location is central but not really close to major sites, but certainly walking distance to most major attractions. It was a bit loud but again, this is true for anyplace in central Rome.

-The staff, especially woman who checked us in, was the literal meaning of customer service. So nice and helpful. -Short walking distance to everywhere so big plus for location. -Breakfast wasnt perfect but it got the job done. Cappucino on a rooftop terrace is a good way to start a day. Also staff at breakfast were friendly. -Room was quiet

Shower was from ancient rome. Also bed was hard as a gladiator.

For us the location was perfect: within walking distance of the Termini train station, a good walk down to Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, and close too Hop On Hop Off bus pick-up point. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. The breakfast was good and we loved the decor and ambience of the breakfast room/ restaurant/ terrace. Our room of adequate size had a well stocked fridge.

Hotel Columbia is our home in Rome. Super hotel close to Terminai Station but not too close. Many restaurants close by. Very nice rooms with nice bathrooms. Air conditioning in the hotel was super even when it was 40 degrees outside. Nice breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace but can also be eaten in the air conditioned dinning room. The ladies on the reception desk were very polite, informative and helpful.

Great location near the central station and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. It is within walking distance to many of the sights. The hotel is an old world style so the rooms are not large, the bathroom is a good size and well fitted and very clean. The guest lounge and rooftop terrace are a bonus. Breakfast was plentiful with a limited selection of hot and a very good selection of cold foods. The staff were attentive and helpful. Good value if you book early.

It was very hot when we stayed and the air conditioning struggled to keep up. The TV controls were a struggle so we gave up.

The room is decorated in vintage style, and I found the chandelier in my room amazingly beautiful and recognised as Venice glass workshop's product. Breakfast is included. The reception staff remembers me and greets me every time when I passed them. I got stomach sick one night and their receptionist received my call and sent hot chamomile tea very soon. I understand they cannot give me pills directly and I did get better after the tea.

The wall was painted pure white in my room, I feel the colour does not fit the rest vintage furniture.

The hotel staff was great! The very best of the stay was the front desk associate, her name was Naslie. Very cordial, friendly, and helpful. The staff at the 5th floor were also great at breakfast and also in the evening for a tea

The bed is two small beds together, that is not as comfortable for a couple

The hotel is located few minutes walking from the metro and 20-25 minutes from most of the popular locations, although not in the heart of the old city. The room was large enough (the superior room). Friendly staff. The bed was confortable enough. The breakfast was good.

The bathroom has an old-style bath with a curtain and not a walk-in shower. Not very convenient to take shower. Quite old carpets and furniture in the room. The hotel is good enough, but not fabulous.

excellent location! Within walking distance of train and bus terminal. Area has plenty of restaurants and as appropriate, taxi service is easily accessible. Property is charming, top floor breakfast area, which is also a delightful lounge area along with Terrace, makes this a special choice. And, hotel staff are extremely welcoming, friendly, and most helpful! Definitely recommend.

This is a boutique hotel. That said, if someone is looking for a standard sized bath with shower, they may find the experience less than stellar. We were fine with it because the uniqueness of a boutique hotel far outweighs any slight variations from larger hotels or chains.
