The views were breathtaking from this hotel. Everything was clean and impeccably decorated. We loved the history and decor of this hotel. It was easy to access downtown Asheville from here as well.
Our bed was very firm. Additionally, there were extra fees for pretty much everything including $30 a night just to park. A day pass to the spa was $240 per person! I don't mind spending for the beautiful ambience but that felt excessive. Additionally, we were disappointed with the lack of lounge areas outside. If you were eating or having bar service, there were typically open tables but no chaise lounges to just relax, read, and enjoy the view.

The view was beautiful. The meals in the Mountain View restaurant was delicious, as was the breakfast in the breakfast restaurant. The cocktails were all very nicely prepared. The spa was amazing. I got a last-minute appointment for a body treatment, which I had never had. It was so worth it. I enjoyed hanging out in the spa for several hours after my treatment. Even though I didn't have a swimsuit (and didn't feel like buying one in the shop), I really enjoyed the various places to sit and enjoy the spa while I read. I totally get the spa experience now! The staff were all really nice, especially the parking valets, who we chatted with several times.
There was the occasional hook that was askew or something really small that reminded me that this is an old hotel. On the one hand, it was a wonderful experience; on the other, little details matter.

Gorgeous, historic hotel, clean, with exceptional attention to details. In our mother-daughter trip, we loved walking the building, taking in the architecture and grounds, and took full advantage of the spa. Shout out to Emily, a spa manager, who saved our trip because we didn't know to book WELL IN ADVANCE to get treatments books - a problem of Booking.com, not the Omni resort. The spa is absolutely 5 stars - the best I've ever visited.
2 things worth saying to other travelers - the room was very dark and so is bathroom. 1) If you plan on applying make-up or need to see yourself closely, bring a lighted magnifying mirror. Even my 33 year old couldn't see. 2) We had one meal at the Vue because we were too late booking the Terrace. It was a truly elegant room, had a fine up-scale menu, great wine, and 5 star service. However, it was really, really expensive, shockingly so. Better for special events. For our trip, I would have preferred eating at the Edison on site or the Terrace. While the spa was also very expensive, it provided a full day access to the entire pool area and it seems like a more appropriate expense.

Rooms were good size and clean. The windows also opened, which is so rare these days. The views from the restaurants were stunning, and the menus at the Edison had enough variety to satisfy all palates. We had to move our reservation due to time constraints, and they were very accommodating. They also were able to fulfill our request to sit outside, and we were treated to a fantastic sunset over the mountains.
Room service menu was rather limited. Bathroom in our room was pretty tight, to the point of having to shimmy by each other going in and out while getting ready.

Spent a weekend here for our anniversary. Beautiful location and amazing amenities. The gym was great, all the restaurants on site were delicious (although expensive), and the spa was unbelievable. Make sure to get a spa day pass even if you can’t get a treatment because no one should miss out on this spa.
It’s quite expensive for food and drinks on site but the quality is very high so it didn’t feel too bad shelling out for it. Plus you can make a very quick drive and be in Asheville where there are tons of options

Excellent service and property plus the food was superb! Close to downtown, shopping, art galleries and great restaurants!
I checked out of the other hotel because it was terrible and under construction plus our room overlooked a parking lot with trucks plus their restaurant was closed! Definitely would not recommend it. I see that my Amex was charged and I want the charge removed immediately! Thst hotel was like a holiday in only worse! I consider this false advertising and I will not pay this bill. The lady at the front desk told me I wouldn’t have to pay so I don’t know why this charge is still on my Amex!

Staff was amazing, food was really good! The view stunning. I would definitely stay again.
Even though they have you sign a quiet time ordinance between 1030-8 people still come through the hallways at all hours of the nights from the bar so a few times I'd be dead asleep and be woken up around midnight. I was in the middle section as to the wings..and the rooms just seemed to have no sound barrier so you heard every little thing.

Great restaurants for dinner at the resort! The views were beautiful. Rooms comfortable and fireworks display on the 3rd and the Fourth of July was an added bonus. very helpful staff.
Rooms for family were not close to each other. One was in one wing and the other in the other wing. Had to traverse the tunnel by the Spa everyday to meet up.

Beautiful property! We had about 35 family members staying and there is plenty of space to gather in groups comfortably.
The one con that several people noted is the lack of decent lighting in the rooms. No overhead lighting. Good luck doing your makeup even with the little makeup mirror they provide! But the rooms were otherwise very comfortable.

We had a king size deluxe Mountain View room. It was nice but I expected it to be a bit more luxurious for the price per night. However, the view was amazing. We were able to see the sun set every evening from our sitting area. Drinks were strong (a bit too strong for me). The food at Edison was average, nothing special. Our meals at both Vue 1913 and Sunset Terrace were excellent with the exception of an add on lobster tail at the Vue that was inedible due to a strong ammonia taste. I was disappointed there was no effort on their part to make it right. I paid $79.00 to add on the tail and could not eat it. The waiters response was he was sorry to hear that. ☹️
