Beautiful old historic building. It was great to have a common kitchen area available to help yourself to coffee/tea, use the fridge etc. The receptionist departs at 5pm, but there’s a number to call incase you need anything, would’ve been nice to have the main room fireplace running til 8-9pm or communication on arrival about using it.
Breakfast was just ok. Typical continental style, bagels, muffins, hard boiled egg, plain yogurt, fruit, Coffee & OJ. For such a grand beautiful place a little more effort on breakfast would be appreciated. (We might be biased as we just came from another B&B with Excellent hot breakfast and friendly service).

The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. The original house was charming and the neighborhood was quiet. There was a large resident black bear so that soured us on exploring the Grove Park streets either day of our stay.
The Sunrise Suite could use some updates. There is a safety concern in one of the double-hung windows (facing the parking lot)- it was not glazed and if it were used in an emergency, the glass could shift and break - I doubt it is tempered glass, It's an old window, in an old house - part of the charm but also unsightly when the shades are drawn up. The window needs repair or replacement. The bathroom needs updating with a taller sink and commode.

A perfect place to spend our anniversary weekend. Staff was attentive, caring and the house and the area was like stepping back into quiet, less hectic time. The saturated colors, and the gorgeous antique woodwork and chandeliers are lovely. The chef prepared breakfasts were such a tasty treat and the portions are just perfect. Coffee was amazing too! We loved the clean, comfy bedding the clawfoot tub and waffleweave robes. This home is a treasure, full of character and warmth and a lifetime of stories unlike a cold hotel. Sipping wine or coffee on that glorious front porch overlooking the serenity of the luscious green grasses and perennials while the evening sunlight dances through the leaves with a gentle breeze was such a treat. We will definitely return and soon! The location is perfect too! Thank you Sara ( Innkeeper) for your hospitality, you are a jewel in the Albemarle's crown. We loved it.
Wish we had more nights to enjoy. Will plan a longer stay next time.

The staff was excellent. Sarah and Scott. The cooks in the mornings were amazing and the service great. I wish they would start breakfast at 8 instead of 8:30 for people that want to go out and do things during the day. The housekeeping staff was excellent.
I did not like the fact that the owner charges $25 for early check in. I think that is ridiculous.....I have traveled the globe and have never been charged for early check in. If the room is open and available one should be able to check in. It was 3 pm or $25. Not 1-1:30-2. The really continued to bother me for the exceptional service this place offers.

Beautiful bed and breakfast super close to town and a lot of fun things to do. The staff was amazing and beyond accommodating. The food was delicious and they had wine in the evenings that you could enjoy on the beautiful spacious porch. The room was clean and looked exactly like what was pictured on the website. Such a peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway. We will definitely be back!!
The only downside was the lack of efficient AC. It is an old house converted to a bed and breakfast so this was to be expected. We just opened the window and enjoyed the cool night breeze! Everything else was perfect!

The Albemarle Inn is a beautiful B & B located in a nice neighborhood. It was within walking distance to the Omni park resort where we wanted to see the national gingerbread competition showcase. The staff was wonderful. The two course breakfast every morning was delicious. There was a guest kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave and place to heat up food if needed.
The most reasonable priced room is on the third floor. But.. the Shangri-la room was cozy, tastefully decorated and worth the climb. Scott helped us take our suitcases up, which was very helpful.

The Inn is beautiful!! We were greeted upon arrival and given a tour. We stayed in the Vanity Fair, which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was really yummy. The Inn is close to downtown Asheville, which made driving there for dinner easy. We were contacted before our arrival with suggestions of things to do (like reserve seating for dinner at a local restaurant) and to see if we had questions or needed anything for our stay. Very happy with our stay there, we would stay there again.
I think the only "didn't like" might have been that we could hear the folks in the next room over, but I don't count that as a negative as it's an old house and reasonable & it wasn't loud. We really enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast each morning was fantastic along with the service. Scott, the Manager, was fantastic especially giving us information about the area. Location was convenient to everything but secluded enough to provide privacy.
In all honesty, there was nothing that didn’t exceed our expectations. I can’t even complain about the weather because that was great as well. The only thing I could complain about as a sugarholic was the endless supply of fantastic homemade chocolate cookies in the parlor.

The location was very private with beautiful landscaping. We loved sitting on the front porch enjoying a glass of wine and overlooking a meticulously groomed lawn and flower beds. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Sarah was exceptional, treating us with her genuine Southern hospitality.
We would have preferred a separate shower as opposed to the claw foot tub and shower combination.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The bedding was divine and plentiful. All of the facilities were well-maintained and clean. Plus, the courtyard outside was lovely and had little areas where you could sit and enjoy it.
I'm not sure there is much that I didn't like, honestly. If anything, it was that the temperature inside was fairly chilly, but we could control that with a remote control and using a gas fireplace if we needed.
