The location!

The presence of the cat was not mentioned anywhere! So my cat allergy was triggered. The room we were initially given was slightly bigger than a coffin and was overlooking an extremely noisy and busy restaurant/bar. It wasn't clear from the booking that this was the case.m

Central location, beautiful building, great vibe, very comfortable beds and the pods were quite spacious. Staff were incredibly helpful and check in etc is very easy. Great service in the restaurant and nice food too.

It’s built on the Japanese pod model, which is a great concept but Dutch people are, unfortunately, quite a bit louder than Japanese people so there were noises in the night (phones going off, people coming back late and using the bathroom quite loudly and even someone making a phone call in the middle of the night) but maybe I was just unlucky.

Privacy inside the pods. Every pod has ventilation coming in from a clear air system, so if you close the curtains, you don't get the air from other guests, very well thought.

This place could be a 10, BUT bringing your own food feels furtive. They didn’t say -guy on a shirt w moustache- that we can bring our own food to the first floor, I had to find it in the answer to the comments in Booking. And there is plenty of space to put a few plates, an oven and a microwave. I had topour olive oil on read withot a plate, so I had to clean the table with several napkins. It is rediculous, the restaurant is frequent by locals too, it is a diferent client base and people end up eating in the rooms, which has carpet flooring that might get dirtier if someone eats there. He didn’t mention either the lounge area for hosts, which is an area with a lot of potential, but very poorly lit. So guedts hang out in the roos instead, bothering who wants to sleep.

It was clean, looked very nice and stylish, and the staff was helpful. There was soap and towels for which I did not have to pay any extra!

It was not so easy to meet other travellers because of the ambience. There was just a hugh restaurant where also people from outside came to dine. No space for travelers alone to meet and hang out. There was also no kitchen. Also getting in my bed turned out to be little difficul. Because it was in the corner, it was difficult to get a good hold of the handle bar at the side. But these are all just small things. Overall read the positive comment.

It's actually a great hotel with a great location and one of the lowest in price there in Utrecht. The hotel is new, rooms are small, I went on my own and the bedroom was fine but small for two people even though I had a double bed. They have a cafeteria at reception and even though they don't serve breakfast until 07:30 in the morning, they serve me coffee at 7 am because I had to go to work, that was very nice of them and I really appreciate it. Rooms are new and clean. Most of the staff is friendly and nice. Greetings to Cristina, she was very good with us.

I think it was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Super organized, technologically advanced, with automatic machine check-in. The bed is super comfortable, and the blanket feels like it's hugging you. There are colored lights in the room. And of course, the pods are super private, which is very important to me. It's hard to find hostels with curtains in the bed in Europe. The bathroom is clean with several showers and toilets. The restaurant is also very good and has a work area, which is also very good.

The only thing I missed was a kitchen, at least a small refrigerator and a microwave.

Quirky converted church that retains lots of original features, has to really be seen to be appreciated, all the food was tasty and the staff are so nice. Your just inside the main canal and only 10 mins walk from the station. Church was converted around 2019 and has all types of different types of accommodation at different price ranges. Our room was 401 and you get there by the glass elevator which gives you a great view.

Hard to criticise really only a couple of things would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room, or at least maybe on the outside landing. Also maybe a bathroom cabinet to put things on, or something on the side of the bath.

The venue and location were amazing! We stayed in the double bunk (pod) which was an extremely comfortable bed and would have been extremely private, had we been able to close the curtains. Unfortunately the bunk we were given had no ventilation and the air was stagnant and hot. The staff worked quickly to remedy the issue though and immediately got us a fan to move the air conditioning to our section. We really appreciated their help and we hope the management fixes the ventilation issue within the bunk itself so the next patrons can close the curtains and still receive fresh air. 10/10 for effort and response time to fix the issue though! 👍 Bathrooms were clean and maintained well, with good showers. Amazing location- close to old town and train station.

The male host who was there in the afternoons/evenings was the opposite of the helpful/friendly morning female hosts. He seemed annoyed by the guests asking for help and was impatient and condescending. Perhaps he should not be in the hospitality business?? Also, even though this is not a “traditional hostel”, it would be so wonderful to just set up a tea kettle and some cups some where… maybe the 3rd floor common area? Just a suggestion for something simple and pleasant you could do for your guests. ;)

Breakfast was good, there is a choice from a selection of different menus. The hotel is perfectly located in the city centre by the canal so all the main sights can be reached on foot. The interior architecture of the hotel, which is a converted church, is very modern and interesting with some features of the church such as the organ still in place.

As expected parking in the area is very difficult. There are meter spaces in front of the hotel - about €8 per hour from 6am to 1am. We parked our car over 2 nights in one of the close by longer term parking garages but 2nd night the car was broken into, personal items stolen and trashed so whole day was lost between police station and getting repairs done before 500km journey home. Would advise to only park in enclosed secure parking.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels in my time — and I can safely say this is the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. The bed pods were spotless and so comfortable, the bathrooms and amenities were extremely clean, the location was ideal for exploring Utrecht and accessing the train station, and the service was excellent. The coffee served in the cafe was delicious too! I also have to mention something about the service: during my stay, my padlock broke late at night — leaving my backpack and passport stuck inside the locker. I had to leave early the next morning, so I alerted one of the staff, who was super attentive and said she’d call someone to come in the morning to break it open. I woke up at 7am the following morning to find that one of the staff had already broken open the padlock for me — meaning I could access my things and leave the hostel on time. This was so convenient and thoughtful of the team, and made my life so much easier :)
