In an area of NSW where accommodation prices are as breathtaking as the surrounding scenery, it is wonderful to find a central location that provides great accommodation for the budget minded. Clearly a winner going by the fact that despite it having many rooms (or perhaps because it does) there appeared to be an abundance of patronage. Reception on arrival was friendly, and all essential information provided, which was backed up with a detailed guest compendium in the room. Room was of a studio type and provided enough space to contain a large comfortable bed, table from which to work at, two fridges (unsure why), as well as some rather charming furniture in the form of bedside cabinets, Television cabinet and two easy chairs. Lighting was a little on the low side for reading and working on the keyboard, but not insurmountable. A microwave was also provided. Ensuite bathroom was large, and the shower had great water pressure. Located only a five-minute car journey from the centre of the township, where there is a plentiful range of options for meals. It is also very handily located for a large number of sights or other nearby townships. Despite any shortcomings, it remains a place I fully intend to return to, given that the pros definitely outweigh the cons.
Décor was lacking. Lighting was a little on the low side for reading and working on the keyboard, but not insurmountable. Lacked any preparation area. Ensuite bathroom was showing age.

Beautiful fresh air, the rooms weren’t all cramped together nor directly facing each other- so coffee on the little balcony looked over a pond and grass rather than straight at front doors of the rooms, the staff were incredibly helpful- especially Darryl who was working the front desk on that day and the woman who was cleaning and sorting out all the rooms. Perfect little retreat when you need some quiet.
More a personal inconvenience that I don’t have a car and the walk to town is a bit too long to do in the middle of the day, night, wearing heels etc. BUT Darryl gave me the contact numbers for some local drivers and I was set.

Lovely motel, very traditional looking, each room had a veranda with table and lots of open space and bbq area. The room was a bit dated but was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Stayed one night as visiting Thirlmere railway museum and was ideally located for this. Good recommendations on where to eat although nothing within walking distance. George IV inn served lovely food.
The road was busier than we expected through the night so there is some heavy traffic noise. Wouldn't stop us staying again.

The USB drive in the power point was a bonus, because, while I had my charging chord, I had left my plug at home. This enabled me to recharge my hearing aids. We were glad to get out of Sydney in the afternoon and start on out=r way to visit family in Narrandera and Wagga. Stopping in Picton allowed me to do the Park Run (Starts just behind the Bowling Club every Saturday morning at 8am. Details on Park Run Picton website) on Saturday morning, come back for a shower before leaving the motel to go into town for coffee and breakfast. We also spoke to the motel manager and to other locals and gained information about family history I have in Tahmoor and Picton. And we have sent an email to the local historical society.
Liked everything.

Loved the location - close to everything! The front part of the hotel was just beautiful with little ducks and grass and trees and a pond! We had a spa bath! The room had a great heater and a little kitchenette - perfect for the weekend! There was a laundry! Staff were just so lovely!
All of the pillows were a bit firm - but that’s probably more of a personal thing! The water pressure in the shower was pretty low - and we had just done Spartan so it was hard to wash some of the mud from our skin and hair

Room good size, bed comfortable, shower pressure and heat great, had toaster and microwave not used but good for future reference, vending chip machine for late snack, went to Wedding nearby Burnham Grove so location to that perfect. Plenty of up to door parking. Garden beautiful and perfectly manicured, gorgeous olds style country stay - thank you highly recommend

Good accommodation in a beautiful, quiet location less than 5 mins drive from Picton township. Room was clean, quiet, great parking, friendly reception and had everything you would need for an overnight stay. Easy check in and check out.
The lighting in the room was a little dark and our mattress was not the most comfortable.

Nice room, Friendly staff Lots of space on the property to relax
Lots of yelling during the night disturbed my sleep. Nothing but snacks available, no breakfast supplied, Loud Washing machine was used during the night & early hours of the morning (4am) Only food available is McDonald's or dominos pizza if you don't have a vehicle. No staff on the property during the night.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was great and no road noise, so we slept very well. The bathroom was clean but could do with some TLC - the grout and sealant could do with replacing. Staff were very welcoming and happy to help with extra cups (and biccies!). Bit sad that the restaurant was not available for breakfast (though I think this is under review) but Picton Social (best coffee shop) is only a couple of minutes away.
As noted, bathroom could do with a little work.

Setback off main road, traffic noise almost non existent in back rooms of lavish wide open grounds. Room and ensuite immaculate, excellent hot shower. Nice linen.
Very old fashioned Decor. A little cluttered but also a pleasant step back in time. Double bed. A bit of a distance out of town. No problem with a vehicle.
