Great location, a short walk up a fairly steep hill from the sea front and town centre. Fantastic views from our room and large peaceful rear balcony (with two loungers) to the sea and surrounding cliffs/hills. Dawn chorus with the balcony doors open was beautiful. Spacious, clean, well decorated and maintained room with en-suite shower/basin/toilet facilities, tea/coffee making facilities and walk in wardrobe space. Lovely welcome from friendly, accommodating hosts. Great band on in the compact pub on the Saturday night and a friendly and community atmosphere early evening which included a meat raffle! No on-site parking but free on street parking within 100 metres further up the hill or paid public parking with permits available within two nearby car parks.

No negative comments to make.

Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed including a fan which was good given warm weather. Felt welcomed and easy check in. A little out of main town but is walking distance if you don’t mind a hill which we don’t! The view from our bedroom window was probably one of the best we had during our travels down the Jurassic coast.

The pub does some food options but limited and also limited times which may not suit guest choices or travel days. No breakfast options or parking facilities. You can park on the road but could be pot luck how near you get to the inn. The inn is a little out of the main town area and is a walk up a hill which may not suit some guests.

We are walkers, took the train to Axminster and walked on the public footpaths to "the Nags Head" pub, in Lyme Regis, where we got into our room over the main entrance and with window facing the beautiful garden at the catholic church on the other side of the road, April 30 and everything was in bloom. We stayed until may 2, and in the cause of the following 12 days, we walked to Swanage along the coastal path. Our relaxation, with a good room and the interesting pub meny at The Nags Head was brilliant. Really an innovative kitchen in pub food and exellent serving, the pulled pork nachos kept itself warm to the last bit and was tastefull e.g. Lots of interresting bar guests, many with their quite as interesting dogs, filled the premisies every night. A very pleasant stay, at the start our walk, highly recomendable.

The landlady / host was very friendly and helpful. I was ill with dehydration and probably heatstroke and unasked she provided a pint of water. When we left the landlady asked after my health. The landlady also allowed us with good grace to check into the room early which was very much appreciated. The room was clean and large enough for our needs. It was quiet on the night we stayed. The shower and bathroom were clean and easy to understand how to use. The twin beds were very comfortable and clean and fresh.

I liked everything. For people who don't like noise certain nights have live music until midnight but this is only one or two nights a week and didn't affect our stay.

Friendly welcome by 'barmaid' (Ellie?) in spite of initially not expecting me. (Had only booked 2 hours earlier) Room was ready anyway and nicely appointed. Interesting view across the road of a church. No bells thankfully! Lucky enough to have a roadside parking space opposite.

No breakfast option on site, but the usual selection of cafeine and chocolate drinks with a kettle available. A bit expensive for pub accommodation, room only (£99), but possibly OK value given that Lyme Regis is generally expensive. Good breakfasts available down in the town.

The room was very clean, there was a table fan and a hairdryer, and the room offered a nice view towards the church. The bathroom looked brand new. The inn was a bit further away from the center of action so it was rather quiet, but still within walking distance to everything.

The room was tiny so it was only good for sleeping in. The bath towels were kind of small. The light in the corridor was on throughout the night and the light came in through the crack between the door and the floor, so the room wasn't completely dark during the night.

Room was large and very nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable and the sea view and balcony were great. The pub was friendly and the singer on the Friday night was excellent. As users of public transport, it was helpful that the pub was on the bus route.

Although the room was very attractively furnished, a few small changes could improve it as a place to stay. For instance there were no hooks or any shelves in the small shower room which meant nowhere to hang towels or clothes while in the shower and no where to put any toiletries ( not even a soap tray in the shower).very odd to have to put everything on the floor.

The Nags Head is a great pub and an excellent place to stay in Lyme Regis. My room was spotlessly clean, cosy with great facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub itself has a wide selection of ales and beers, friendly locals and a lovely garden with views towards the sea. It's also in a great location with just a 5 minute walk to the town centre and sea front where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed in the Green room - huge room, comfortable bed, lovely clean and modern shower room. It was definitely worth the slightly higher rate to have the terrace and sea view - we had a stunning sunrise in the morning. Excellent selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate, and biscuits, in the room. We had been informed about the music in the bar on Fridays and Saturdays from the moment of booking, so were prepared for the noise. But it finished exactly at 11.15pm, as per the hotel info, and, to be honest, it was quite entertaining listening to the karaoke!

Second time staying here and good value for the area. Rooms are very clean, if a little snug, but that's okay. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

If you are very sensitive to noise maybe check when the entertainment is on /room location. It didn't bother us but some people might prefer a very quiet location. It is at the top of the hill so if you have mobility issues it would not be suitable but otherwise, good exercise!
