The location is fantastic. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is high quality. Staff is smiley. The toiletteries are high quality as well.

We weren't offered help to bring our luggage upstairs (check in) and downstairs (check out). Since we were celebrating our wedding in Aarhus, we had lots of luggage/bags, etc. Staff behaved as if we were invisible.- something you can take from a 3 star hotel but not from a 5 star one. The dry flowers in the bedroom were stinky and we had to place them outside in the corridor. The bathroom is outdate and the toilet was flushing water all the time, which was noisy and disturbing.

Amazing interior design, great breakfast, nice Fitness area, city centre is in walking distance, friendly staff

The interior design of the hotel was absolutely stunning! However that is maybe the problem - the hotel runs because of that but the service does not keep up. Three things that we noticed which are not appropriate for a hotel of this status: 1) The search for a parking spot is a nightmare and I don't understand why this is not being handled differently by the hotel (valet parking could be an option). 2) The service in the hotel bar could be improved as well (took too much time even though there was no one at the bar). 3) Breakfast time needs to be booked in advance, so if you are arriving late you get a later slot. A warning in advance with option to book the slot immediately would be helpful.

Beautiful old hotel in the style of the grand European hotels of the early 1900’s, the place is full of original features, stylish updated design and the oldest working elevator in Scandinavia. The staff were super lovely, helpful when I needed to change rooms and the upgrade I got was stunning. Decent breakfast and the garden room is beautiful.

On the street facing the cafes the soundproofing could be better as it can be loud especially on the first floor. Would also recommend putting water in the rooms, just tap water in refillable glass bottles would be adequate

Hotel with a style... keeping its historical background. Great location in the heart of Aarhus. Very friendly personel. Making sure you are hydrated leaving the hotel on hot summer day (giving you a bottle of water for the way).

Pretty small room with a narrow bed - and not the greatest view outside the window. If you have some spare cash go for the larger rooms - this will allow you to enjoy the style of the hotel. Breakfast could have a bit more choices of warm dishes as well as vegetables if you happen to be a vegetarian :-)

The hotel has had extensive redecoration. It has made it more boutique in style. The reception area is very welcoming. They have kept the character of the original hotel but updated it The room has new furnishings & paint colour scheme & carpet. The location was central & the room was lovely & quiet The bed was super comfy I had the best night's sleep in a hotel in a long time.

The bathrooms as yet have not been redone. They do not reflect the same quality as the rooms The room lacked sufficient lights. The hall needed a light as when you went in the room at night it was very dark.

Great central place and easy to get around on foot. Loved the attention to detail with furnishings, paintings etc. Lovely jazz playing in the foyer continuously, capacity to leave the key (very large) with the concierge so it could be retrieved later. The staff were really helpful, and friendly. Old fashioned service - I was sitting waiting for work colleagues and one staff member offered to make me a cup of tea while I waited. I really appreciated the attention to detail and care.

Loved it all...

Very warm reception. The gal that greeted us was so nice and helpful. The breakfast area was really nice, kind of in an atrium setting. I liked the reservation system as the breakfast area was small having a set time to eat kept the crowd to a manageable level. Historic hotel in which there are many nice paintings and tapestries throughout. Also an old elevator that might be original to the hotel. The hotel is in the center of town just a great location to see everything from.

No complaints.

Old fashion style, very charming and well maintained

The breakfast buffet and other dishes that you can order don’t match the quality of the facilities. I understand they like to maintain a royal standard but when you charge those money you got to present better options. Don’t get me wrong , the food is fresh and taste good just not worth it the money ( specially the pancakes which you have to purchase as extra from the buffet)

No one told us we received breakfast with our stay and we were VERY disappointed to learn at checkout that this was included.

Disappointed about not being informed breakfast was included at checkin. We were checked into a dirty room first, then one with a view that was not as good. These werre both large disappointments.

This hotel is really beautiful, right in the city center (you won't get a better location than this) and the staff is friendly and helpful. - our room was big - good water pressure - good breakfast with many options - usually quiet

Although the room was nice, it didn't look like the pictures on booking. The pictures on booking are aligned to the overall esthetic of the hotel, our room wasn't. Because the hotel is located in the city center, if there are any events in the city, it might be noisy. There was a festival for the first night we were there and it was really loud, but they gave us ear plugs, which helped. The rest of the nights were really quiet and there were no issues.
