The staff was excellent! So incredibly helpful.... Location is also perfect, for both Burbank and for getting around the northern side of Los Angeles. It was also surprising to find the breakfast was included, just basic Continental breakfast but a really nice unexpected touch.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable, this is one of the more affordable options in the area, so of course I understand that impacts what you should expect. But if they just upgraded all the beds and bedding, this place would be somewhere I could stay again and again.

I love the location, the price, ample parking, the staff is amazing, free breakfast, free wifi. This has been my go-to place to stay the last few times I was in town and I will continue to stay here. If they ever did a frequent traveler program, I would sign up.

It would have been nice to have an extra lock on the door. Staying there alone, it would have been nice to just have that extra bit of security. Also, a vending machine by the ice machine would be nice. They do have the lobby open early and until about 10pm but it would be nice to be able to get an extra bottle of water or a pop without leaving the premises. It is currently under construction so maybe those things will be added at a later date.

Good facilities, comfortable room and great continental breakfast with your stay. Staff are very helpful. The lovely lady who I checked in with was kind enough to put me in a ground floor unit across from reception - as a solo traveller this was comforting. Towels changed daily. Really close to places like Universal and Warner Bros Studios and then only a short drive to Hollywood. Good area away from the hustle and bustle and it has places like Walmart and many fast food chains close by. A great little gem!

A little outdated and need some firmer pillows but otherwise nothing!

Because we were leaving early in the morning the staff let us grab yogurt, some packaged breakfast goodies the night before to keep in the mini fridge in the room. Overall the room like many rooms in older motels was a bit dark ( just lamps) and of course every outlet we used to charge some device. Would be nice to have a clock that has plug in’s by the bed or an extension with more plugs. Some of the woodwork in the room was very worn but overall we were satisfied and some of the room looked updated as far as flooring and bathroom area. We got in later in the evening and the lot was well lit but I’m not familiar with this area so maybe I felt some personal discomfort from not knowing what sort of area we were in.

Something to allow for more plug ins to charge devices. A bit more lighting options?

The setup of the room, the amenities were great, and the lady who ran the desk that night was an absolute dream!!! I will be staying here again! It was clean, comfortable, everything worked, and the lobby offerings are great! The plants and cleanliness of the courtyard and outer area was fantastic! Ample parking, easy access, and rather large room. I mean, there is enough space for a long size bed and a chaise lounge, desk, chair and mini fridge.

My only gripe, and it's a very small one is that the toilet plunger needs replacing as it doesn't always seem to go back to its set position every time. And the shower head was not great. But again, these are extremely minor things in what is a truly amazing place to stay!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly at the Portofino Hotel. The location was great as well. It had everything near it from Whole Foods, to a nice laundry mat to good restaurants, and great attractions within driving distance. Plus the hotel had the dinner that was featured in Sons of Anarchy series. Highly recommend Portofino Hotel for those visiting the LA area.

Excellent place to meet our needs for an overnight transfer in Burbank. Desk held our reservation for later arrival (2330), no problem. Kind front desk staff. Clean and quiet accommodation with ample parking in courtyard arrangement, so felt secure.

TV did not work--flat screen HDMI incompatible with Spectrum high def coding; we did not need it, just needed sleep, so did not complain. Our room (104; I think it's a rare case) had window facing sidewalk externally; not at all a problem for us, but people spending more time in room might be reluctant to keep blackout curtain closed when lights inside would make you a zoo exhibit.

The motel was an older building so showed some signs of wear and tear - but apparently, they are undergoing renovations. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but adequate.

I would have liked more electrical outlets available. The ironing board was a bit difficult to use and I would have preferred a full-sized ironing board that stood alone, not a half-sized one that had to be placed on a flat surface. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice.

The hotel is well located, and the room was very clean. Very well kept grounds. There was a staff member that went above and beyond during our stay to help us fix our thermostat. I liked the free cookies during the day as well as the hot tub.

Pretty basic furnishings in light of the price paid. The bed was not the most comfortable, but it was ok. There is no central air. The climate control is provided by a wall unit with a tricky thermostat. You have to push the small button on the unit if it quits responding. The towels are a little spartan.

the breakfast was okay. they changed their "main item" daily. such as one morning being a jimmy dean microwavable sandwich then to a breakfast hot pocket, etc. No classic waffle maker like the main hotels have. but they carry a variety of pastries and cereals.

my opinion, but the juice machine was not good. tried every flavor and i am not sure if its the tubing thats old or quality but orange juice did not taste like OJ.
