Good location by rail and bus station. Good single room, excellent breakfast and lovely staff. Clean and comfortable.

It was let down by the plumbing. There's a little note in the bathroom about hot water problems at busy times. This was true at all times. But my shower experience was dreadful: the water had been warm to start with (perfect) but after turning on again to rinse, and without changing the setting, cold water came out for several minutes. Eventually warm and then very hot water returned, but it wasn't pleasant.

Lovely cosy hotel, room was really comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Tea/coffee kettle etc even biscuits. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. A bar man called David was such a kind, cheerful and helpful man. Hotel is perfectly situated with just a short walk to everything.

The dining room is dark and unwelcoming, tables are too small for what needs to be put on them and are too close together, breakfast choice is good, orders taken for hot choices but are served when you barely had time to finish cereal etc, and why ask how you would like your eggs (soft) but served rock hard every day! Something you may think trivial but actually spoils a meal. Servers were quite miserable too. Breakfast is always something i look forward to when away but this was a fail on service.

Lovely welcome at reception and really helpful reception staff. Room was great with all the facilities we needed. Very clean. Comfy beds and great shower. Excellent breakfast.

Small thing but breakfast staff very inflexible and made us sit in a dark corner by the kitchen doors squashed next to other guests in a room with lots of empty tables. Reason given was that that table was already laid. We offered to move the cutlery etc but we were told we couldn't.There were lots of empty tables in bright sunny parts of the breakfast room and none were reserved. Had to ask three different people before we could move. A shame as it was a great breakfast other than that rather bizarre plan to make life easier for the staff rather than better for the guests.

Fantastic location and beautiful, elegant building. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar facilities were good with a wide selection of drinks available. The restaurant for dinner was first class with beautifully presented food. The breakfast provided ample choice with a continental buffet and cooked to order hot breakfast.

The hotel is a little dated and is in need of a refurbishment but didn't detract from our enjoyment. Being close to the train station it was a little noisy, but only because we needed the windows open as there was no air conditioning but again didn't detract from our comfort.

First of all staff. David is the bar was a fine gentleman and so friendly. Loved him. Also the lady at check in who was there every morning with a smile and helpful. Cleaning staff also friendly and helpful. Location is awesome, right next to train station (literally across street) but yet quiet. 5 minute walk to Old town. Cafe across street yet the bar at hotel was all you need. Breakfast was great and plentiful. 100% would stay there again.

Nothing really bad at all. Getting the hot water to kick in just took a little finese and it seemed to be an issue they knew about and were working on. Also would recommend just a few more items in the bathroom like maybe hand-soap left or available by the sink as opposed to using soap in shower / tub (but this is a small thing).

Unfortunately my young adults in a triple room had no hot water, they were asked to run it for 20 mins, they did for 40, still nothing. After a long 8 hour trip not very nice to not be able to shower. I was promised a call by the general manager, nothing, called and left a message, no reply. Not good enough guys, a hot shower is a fair ask.

Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room size was good with ample space for two people. Comfortable beds, small but clean bathroom. Bathrobes, although not utilised, were a plus. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Decent selection of drinks at the bar and good prices too. Hotel, although not right in the city centre, was close to the train station and in a good location. Easy to walk and get to most places. Pleasantly surprised with the standard of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

TV didn’t work properly. Screen said there was no signal for many of the channels. Couldn’t cast from my device either. A bit of noise from the street, even during the early hours. But I guess can’t be helped when there’s a Robbie Williams concert in town!

Staff (breakfast also) were welcoming and always greeted with a smile no matter the time of day. I felt safe, I had a good sleep, I felt very comfortable. Minor issue - creaky fall. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Would I recommend staying at this hotel? Without a doubt! Thank you for making my solo visit to Bath pleasurable. (This is my 4th time in Bath, but 1st time at this hotel). A lovely treat, was returning to my hotel after a rainy day and seeing a top-up of supplies.

Creaky fall. The shower took a while for me to understand which way is hot water, but once I got it, PERFECT shower! :D

Being right opposite the station was a big positive for me. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. (no view) The dinner in the pub was well priced and very tasty. There was a good selection for breakfast which was also well presented and tasty. The building is lovely and old and has been well maintained.

I am a woman travelling on my own with a lot of luggage. I was really struggling but was offered no assistance up to my room. Even though there is a lift, I would have appreciated a little assistance.

Very welcoming and comfortable hotel. All the staff, including housekeeping, were friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu and buffet were plentiful and dinner was very good and impeccably served. Our room was cleaned and towels changed daily and tea/coffee facilities well stocked. The hotel location is great for city centre and just across the road from the train station. All in all, a great place for a city break.

Slight issues with delayed hot water to the bathroom. We had to run the shower/bath taps for some minutes before water appears hot. Possibly older plumbing or something and there was a notice in the bathroom apologising for this. It wasn't a big issue though and didn't detract from our experience overall.
