Great location on lake front, lots of nearby restaurants. Short walk to lift or escalator to the train station, close to bus (free with Montreux Riviera Card) and boat also. Room maybe needed some minor cosmetic attention but very good sized with lovely balcony, comfortable bed, plenty of space for a suitcase to be opened. Good bathroom with a decent shower. Nice breakfast (additional charge). The lady at the front desk (?owner) and her husband were lovely. Very bubbly, friendly and helpful. Arranged for some laundry to be done for me in only a few hours. Very reasonably priced. Would more than happily stay again. I slept well (but there were people who insisted on slamming their doors, that's just inconsiderate other guests, in no way the hotels fault and hopefully not a frequent thing!)

The location is the big plus for me. Overlooks the lake and the whole vista. Rooms at the front with charming small balconies are definitely worth the money. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the train station. Bus stop just outside takes you to all the main locations around the lake (free travel for tourists, get a pass from the hotel when you book). It's a traditional older style 'boutique' hotel, with a small 4 person lift and small reception area. Reception lady is very helpful, speaks good english and has great local knowledge. The room I stayed in was on the front, 4th floor and had lovely 180 degree views. The room had a comfortable bed, traditional free standing furniture and a nice nice ensuite shower room. WiFi was decent and worked well. It's the second time I have stayed here and it is my hotel of choice for Montreux. Very good value for money in a town where there are many overpriced hotels. Decent continental breakfast with bread and pastries is available for small extra charge. There is a good restaurant (separate business) right next door and the lake with its lovely walks is 1 minute away.

The rooms dont have a/c...not an issue for me on this trip, but even though it was quite chilly outside the room was warm....in summer it may get very warm if the outside temperature is hot. I can appreciate its probably difficult for the hotel to install though.

We were all pleasantly surprised by our stay at this hotel. As a family of four travelling across (notoriously expensive) Switzerland, we were looking for an affordable night's stay in Montreux. Our quad room was perfect - 3 beds in one room, 1 bed in another room (no door between rooms but it did help give a bit more space) and also a spacious ensuite shower room. There was a kettle and tea/coffee sachets too which was handy. The room faced a back courtyard so was really quiet and the beds were comfy. While it wasn't 5 stars in terms of decor/design, it was perfectly fine and, in fact, exceeded our expectations. For the location, I would say this room was very good value for money. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave our bags for an hour or so while we had a short walk before our next train.

Nothing was a problem

We returned to this hotel after staying 2 years ago. It really is a fantastic little hotel. The location and staff are amazing (especially Marlen. Massive shout out to the most amazing host ever!! Hilarious but professional too). And a lake view room with a balcony, give you a millionaires view for a really reasonable cost

So why only an 9. Well, the rooms could do with updating slightly. Beds are a little narrow and the floor squeaks. But hey, these are just minor points. I returned once and I would do so again without hesitation.

Lovely receptionist really made our stay with her pleasant manner and helpful tips. The room was comfortable and clean with a balcony and a stunning view. Check in and access was smooth and simple. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town and the station. We would definitely return to this town and the hotel.

Some aspects of the hotel are a bit tired. Mattress a little oversoft and toilet lid that doesn't stay up. Breakfast is a bit limited but adequate. Some fresh fruit would have been good.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The check-in process was seamless, and the hotel's historic charm added to its appeal. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the train, ferry, and bus stations, making it very convenient for travelers. The breakfast, while on the lighter side, was sufficient for those seeking something simple. It included croissants, sourdough bread, cornflakes, a variety of juices, and a coffee machine. Perfect if you're after a quick, light start to your day.

Our only concern was with the door to our room. While it appeared they had made some repairs, the door didn’t lock properly unless manually pushed, and it could use a door closer to prevent it from slamming shut.

The Hotel Parc & Lac is excellently located on the promenade of Lake Geneva in Montreux. Easy access to transport options to local tourist attractions and to the main Montreux train station. Excellent views across the Lake on the other side of the road. Easy access to a wide range and variety of eating facilities along the promenade. The room was excellent with plenty of space for two adults and two children as well as having portable air conditioner to assist in cooling as outside temperature were very warm. Excellent breakfast was was well worth the cost. The concierge made our stay by providing us with all the assistance that we requested relating to the hotel and local tourist attraction.

Regretfully, as the holiday itinerary only allowed for two night stay, we couldn't stay longer and we had to move on.

Our stay at the seaside hotel in Montreux was delightful. Located very close to the railway station, the hotel offers the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. The area is peaceful, ideal for anyone looking to unwind. The hotel is clean, neat, and bright, with lots of natural light filling the rooms. We appreciated the good and simple brwe would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Its prime location, cleanliness, and serene environment make it a great choice for visitors to Montreux.

The only downside was the mattress, which we found to be too soft, making it difficult to keep balance on the sides while sleeping

Located smack bang In the middle of everything but only 2 minutes from the train station. The beautiful promenade is just across the road and the views are mad. People find things to complain about but honestly why? This property is one of the best bargains ever. It's a historic building so it creaks and the walls are thin but it's front line to Lake Geneva, on the Riviera so get it booked and grin yourself to death for as long as you stay. You booked a good un.

Location ... view of lake from room's balcony. Free Bus 201 stops just beside hotel which runs from Vevey to Villinue through Montreux. Lift for station is 2 mints walk from the hotel. Pier for Riviera tour is also 2/3 mints walk Different restaurants & shops are just outside hotel within few mints walk. Room & bathroom is reasonably clean with dated sofa & tea/coffee are provided with an electric kettle.

No glass or cup in the room except one plastic cup in bathroom & few paper cups in room. Can't provide one even when asked for.
