We loved this hotel, everything is well decorated to Freddie's figure, the room was very nice with the balcony facing the most beautiful view of the lake with the mountains on the back, breath taking view when you wake up. Comfortable beds and nice hot shower! The hotel exceeded our expectations, starting with the reception team Maria and Nouf that were wonderfully helpful to get me all the information and effort to get a plan B due to heavy rain on our arrival. Cheers to Alexandra on the breakfast team, great meal!

Room temperature was too hot, even setting the AC to the minimum. There is an advantage of being almost inside of the train station - 100 meters (very useful if you travel a lot by train, you don't need to walk kilometres to your hotel), but it brings sometimes train sounds to the room, but it was acceptable.

The room was spacey and good. Breakfast was fine. Short walking to the city and the lake front.

Parking was complicated with the car lift, you should at least reserve some time for it, the help of personnel is needed and it is not good for bigger cars.

We enjoyed our stay in this unique and special hotel dedicated to Freddie Mercury. It was fun to see all the memorabilia in the lobby and hallways. Our room was clean and modern. We loved it being on the train platform and were not bothered by any noise, perhaps because it was the top floor and the door and windows faced another direction. We mostly skipped the room cleaning, but the staff was so nice and helpful when anything was requested. We also skipped the breakfast although it looked quite fine in the photos posted by others. We loved our little table and chairs to have breakfast in the room instead. We used the coffee machine and fridge and bought fruit, milk, butter, and fresh bread at the lovely bakery along with other Swiss treats. We did have to open the Swiss army knife recently purchased to slice and butter the bread... lol... but that also adds to the good memory of our time spent in Montreux!

As stated in other reviews, it was surprising there was no A/C, but it appears this is not that uncommon in this area. It was warm for us, even in May. Definitely something to keep in mind depending on the timing of the visit. Also as others noted, the lack of accessible electrical outlets could be inconvenient.

Location and staff all 10/10 … special shout for Maria who was so attentive and very helpful We had a balcony room meaning top floor with views over the lake and use of private terrace, fridge and coffee maker always a good indication of a well appointed room. Lift access and entrance to hotel at the end of station platform 1D so easy for transport options. If you are a Queen fan they have so many photos on the walls a trip down memory lane. Washing machines and dryers available in the lower floor Take coins for payment … complicated instructions

The room needed attention Toilet seat loose. The shower tray needed cleaning. Toilet rolls not replaced. Coffee supplies not topped up every day. Small safe .. no good for a laptop … situated at back of bottom cupboard so very hard to access. Our safe broken … had to use keys. Difficult to call Reception … first time in a hotel that we had to ring 8500 from the room phone.

The room was very large. The hotel is actually located on Platform 1 at the train station. Please ask for a room on the street side. The rooms with balconies are right over the train tracks. The staff was extremely helpful in trying to resolve any issues. Yes, I would stay there again as it is so close to the station - it is at the station -- and it was the least expensive hotel where we stayed in Switzerland so a great value.

There are very few outlets for a blow dryer and mobile phone charging. The staff gave me a power strip to use so that I could plug in my blow dryer and phone charger. There are no outlets in the large bathroom.

We had a great stay. Room very comfortable and great views.Breakfast was very nice. Location was great being right at the end of platform 1 but we hardly heard any noise from the station. The Montreux Riviera card was excellent providing free transport to explore the area and discounts on some attractions. I am a big Queen fan and the links to Queen in the Montreux area are great, especially the Queen studios experience which was free.

Montreux is very hilly and the walks up to the Hotel can be steep but you can seek out the lifts and escalations to ease t(e journey.

It's very comfortable, clean, and the view is amazing. Breakfast is also excellent with various kind of choices. I would defenetely recommend the Freddie Mercury hotel if our family or friends are visiting Montreux

Only staying one night. We wish we can stay longer for the next visit.

The location was ideal; staff very friendly and helpful; clean modern premises.

The laundry facilities were appalling! I could not get the washing machine to work properly - would not spin the clothes part-dry. I could not read the manuals (none in English) and though the receptionist tried, she was unable to help. Then, when I had rinsed and wrung out the clothes BY HAND, I could not get the dryer to dry properly. After nearly two hours on the highest setting, the clothes were still very damp. I wasted a lot of time and money on this exercise, with very poor results - most unsatisfactory!

A great location and even though the hotel was next to the train station, we were not bothered by noise. The breakfast cost extra for our rate but there was a lot of choice. It also cost extra to park but there was a secure underground carpark and the staff very kindly let us leave our car there pre-check in and post check out so that we could make the most of our stay in Montreux.

The check-in process wasn't efficient. The rooms weren't ready at the check in time of 3pm and there were several guests sitting in reception waiting to access their rooms.

The staff were so nice-a particular thank you to the receptionist who was so pleasant and kind. Our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait an extra 15 mins and she ensured we would have a free breakfast for the inconvenience. We had a late flight the next day and she let us check out one hour later free of charge-it’s the little things but it was much appreciated. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff came by to check everything was ok and if we needed anything. Fabulous bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay especially after staying in below par accommodation up until then.

There were no proper thick curtains in the room, just a thin mesh one.
