The staff was incredible. Paulo Andrade greeted us and upgraded our 4 night stay. The Santana room was beautiful and made our stay in Montreux more enjoyable. Paulo was always so professional, and very kind. Along with Pedro and Pablo ( I hope that is correct - from Sintra ) they were exceptional. We really loved the Tralala - the decor and ambiance was so cool. We loved having the bus right outside the door too. Again - this was a wonderful hotel, a great breakfast, and a really nice staff. The staff is what makes a hotel and these 3 were the best - they are great at their job.

The hotel is located in the old town of Montreux uphill, it’s a trendy hotel. There is a really good atmosphere. It’s quite near the train station. The staff was just very friendly and helpful. I would certainly come back.

I had the room no.104 on the first floor , with a view on the main street. The bedding was ok, although the pillows were too soft and the down much too thin. The bathroom was very tiny, the toilets were in the same place next to the shower. The towels were brand new but there was no hook to hang them. In my point of view it would be good to renew the bathroom. Finally there were to many electric extension leads everywhere and one of the lamp next to the bed had no switch so I had to unplug it.

Hotel Tralala met our expectations just as advertised. It looks exactly like the photos and offers great value for money. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, which made it easy for us to get around and enjoy the surroundings. I would especially like to highlight João, a member of the hotel staff, for his outstanding service. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his last name, but he was the one in charge of the front desk on the day of our check-in. He welcomed us warmly, was always polite and helpful, and truly made our stay more enjoyable and comfortable. His attention to detail and kindness stood out. I definitely recommend Hotel Tralala, and I’d like to give a special thanks to João for making our experience even better!

The service was good and helpful, particularly from the friendly Elva at the bar. The position in the Old Town was charming and the room was fine. Spotify music was good, though the bar was quieter than expected.

Lugging a suitcase uphill, rather than taking the bus from the train station, was tiring. My fault, not theirs, but some advance mention that the walk (15 minutes) is uphill would have helped guide me. The food was good, and good value for Montreux (which is expensive even by Swiss standards) but could have had more vegetables included with the dishes.

We loved the location, and how easy it was to get around. There’s a bus stop directly opposite the hotel’s entrance which easily gets to and from the train station. Very nearby, there’s a train stop which easily gets to Montreux station in a few minutes, while the other direction goes up to Rochers de Naye for magnificent views. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, although small, it was nice, with a balcony overlooking the street in front. It’s also walkable all the way to Freddie Mercury statue but the streets were quite steep, but was ok for us.

The property is located close to the train station (10 minute walk) and local amenities. There is also a bus stop directly opposite with regular buses which is a great option if you don’t feel like walking. The staff were super friendly and always helped with any queries we had. We also ate at the restaurant one night and had drinks both nights - the food was lovely and the young gentlemen operating the bar were very professional and polite. It is a lovely hotel for anyone visiting Montreux especially for those with a love of music!

Breakfast isn’t included in the price of the room but you can add this on for 25CHF per person per day. We thought that this was expensive for what you get. For those who do not want breakfast at the hotel there is a really nice Cafe which is a 2 minute walk away which has lots of pastries and good coffee and juice options for a reasonable price. It would be good if the breakfast in the hotel was offered as part of the package.

The hotel was in a lovely part of Montreux, very pretty buildings and streets. The restaurant and bar are very nicely decorated. The room was comfortable and quiet, even though we were next to the street.

We arrived late at night and it was raining very heavily. From the centre of Montreux it is a very steep walk up to the hotel location, so we should maybe have got a taxi. If you have small children and lots of baggage, walking would be very difficult. But the hotel staff were very welcoming when we arrived and late check in was very easy.

It was so conveniently located in the old town and the 206 bus which you can’t eke directly out from the railway station drops you outside the door. Stefan was so helpful and for a poor French speaker like myself he spoke impeccable English and was a brilliant host. We spent a lot of time in markets for Xmas so didn’t eat at Hotel but the layout and atmosphere looked relaxing. The room was clean and well set out and I loved the wide opening window It’s a small room but the layout is clever use of space The heavy duty doors and stone walls mean it’s a quiet room and blocks out other people’s noise I will be going back for sure

It was perfect for what needed

Excellent view from the room over the lake and mountain and good location. Easily accessible on foot from station but worth taking bus if you have heavy luggage! It is uphill! Very helpful staff who were concerned that you were happy. Good advice on using public transport. Great choice of food at breakfast.

Evening food service was a bit chaotic. We stayed out of peak season and there was limited staff on duty trying to cope with food orders and check ins simultaneously. However, they realised the problem and offered complimentary drinks while we waited.

Great location near the train station (Montreux-Les Planches), with welcoming and friendly staff. The complimentary drinks are a nice touch. The rooms are charming and well-prepared, with the added convenience of in-room coffee and tea facilities.

The rooms are on the smaller side, and the cost of the breakfast is an issue (though this seems to be in line with Swiss prices). The lack of air conditioning is increasingly problematic as temperatures rise in Montreux.
