Nice restaurants, great food La Terasa, Jazz Cafe and even Breakfast was great. View from the signature suite was nice.

Not up to date 5*, I paid for signature room and they gave me in first floor next to the street so super noisy, I wanted quit room in high floor, but only option was signature suite for 300CHF so I went for it. View was nice, but rest of the room quite average, bed linen quite rough never heard about thread counts above 1000, not great for the price of 1200 CHF per night. Also in the night there was quite noisy. Pool area nothing special and towels were horrible with torn edges, common, this is not acceptable!

Lovely hotel, and spa is amazing. View of the lake and mountains always a pleasure. Breakfast very good. Good restaurant attached to the hotel.

Wi-Fi signal in the room was weak at best, coming in and out and probably not ideal if you wanted to work from the room. Going to Montreux in the 3/4 weeks before the Jazz Festival (in July) can be disappointing, and maybe for a few weeks after. Many tents and platforms being erected (then removed after the event) along the lake front ruining a beautiful walk and view from several restaurants. Noise also a irritation.

Everything. Amazing hotel and must return for sure. The cleaning team, breakfast team, and others from the reception team and concierge are just great. The room is fantastic !

Minor matters : 1. We adore passion fruit for breakfast, but it was missing 2/3 days of our stay. 2. I kindly asked the receptionist with glasses, and i can't recall his name to extend checkout for at least 1hr or 30min. He kindly rejected several times , and eventually, we made it 30 minutes late without problem. I had stayed in many 5-star hotels, and my plea was never rejected . It is a simple compliment.

The location is great, and they have several restaurants and bars to choose from. The staff is wonderful and the concierge services are impeccable! The breakfast is pretty good with a nice Buffett and egg station with a chef to cook your eggs. The shops on the first and second floors are nice and have some interesting options! Amazing views from the lakeside rooms! The wine tasting areas 20 minutes away by car are excellent!

This is just a comment about hotels/restaurants in the summertime in Switzerland in general. Most places do not have good aircon during the summer. So they have only 4 degrees cooler than outside. So if outside is 30C, your room is 26C. Also many restaurants do not have good air conditioning. So the air is often stuffy and hot, which is not conducive to having a good meal. Fairmont is no exception to this practice.

The view overlooking Lake Geneva is exceptional, so be sure to book a room with balcony on the lakeside. Our room was on the top floor with 2 balconies on the front overlooking the lake, and 2 balconies on the side. It was very large, with an equally large bathroom. The entire hotel is superbly decorated and elegant. The staff was outstanding in every respect, from the doormen and valets, to the reception and concierge, to the restaurant staff, as well as housekeeping. The restaurant was delightful with an interesting menu.

Elegant, great architecture, wonderful terrace across the road right at the river, super R Level with breakfast area, conference and ball rooms and fine dining. Great parking. Very friendly staff. Amazing views of the lake and the alps.

Price to value appears a bit at odds, may be due to strong CHF, but the prices are steep. Even at the bar or terrace, quite expensive, 20+ CHF for a cocktail … that’s not necessary. Room rates and other charges also on the high side. Recommendations given for dining in the city where a bit too touristy

I've stayed here before. It's a lovely hotel and staff is the best. A few things : They are doing some renovations at this time which I was unaware of, however we were there on a weekend and we had no noise issues. The water flow to our tub on the 6th fl. was very slow and the cold spigot was hot water part of the time? Don't know how that can happen, strange. The water temp in the room can be way to hot. Be careful, you can easily get a real burn. They need to address that issue. I must say however I will return to the Fairmont Palace again, my wife loves it as well.

Property has a great spa! I enjoyed the kind workers and the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steamer. The showers were also well equipped with great products

When we arrived, the front desk workers were talking amongst themselves and didn’t acknowledge us. We had to go to another desk for help. No offer to help with the luggage either.

We’ve enjoyed our room a lot, it was a Great Lake and mountains view. Comfortable room with all the needs, big bathroom. Very polite and nice staff, they’ve been very very friendly and made our stay even better than expected. Great breakfast selection as well.

The only thing we didn’t like is that we’ve eaten in the hotel restaurant and my husband took their speciality for the house : bb burger and he felt incredible bad after that, he was puking whole night , and then next day, also had a temperature and nausea, so he couldn’t eat the next day at all.

The bathroom layout with the shower being a very small square box, very tight for one person, and no chance of 2 persons No kettle in the room only a coffee maker which did give hot water for making tea but the lingering coffee taste could be tasted The UK always has a couple of little packets of biscuits next the tea/coffee facilities, this hotel of its stature could copy this courteous gesture
