Location- we had a fantastic view of the bay

- single elevator was out of service the last 3 days of our trip and the hotel has no bell hops and didn’t offer any assistance. People were left to drag themselves and luggage up and down the stairs. We had some friends also staying here, one with bad knees and one with a bad ankle. It was tough for them. - our room was super humid. The air conditioning kept the room cool but didn’t help with humidity. Clothes and towels always felt damp - the hotel is across the street from the state park so in the evening you can smell the smoke. Our air conditioner seemed to suck it in.

Love the location, right on the beach. Pool & hot tub are great, as long as you can overlook some sand at the bottom where thoughtless folks drop it after the beach visit. Very cute pool room. Loved the mama duck & her 9 babies enjoying the beach & lake with us. The lounge in the same building gives you some nice options if you're tired after your trip there. We had the King suite with full kitchen and that's a great help, plus the view from bedroom is fabulous.

Wish that suite had a table with seating for 2 for meals inside. It used to, which was perfect. Now it has a desk style table with a desk chair. The other guy has to sit in the loveseat and eat from the coffee table. Not great if you are trying to eat something that needs to be cut, or that drips, or has fallout crumbs. Needs to go back to little table for 2 with chairs. New loveseat has squared off arms which are really uncomfortable. Power outage during morning showers was not fun, but fairly short lived. We'd go back.

Beautiful waterfront hotel with a clean private beach. It’s very well taken care of, saw staff come clean and pick up trash several times. Plenty of lounge chairs provided for guests at the beach. Rooms are spacious, updated and clean. Lots of counter space and tons of room for luggage. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Rooms were very quiet, never heard another guest the entire time we were in our room. Hotel sits in a wonderful spot, with a beautiful view of the bay and a short drive to everything you would want to do downtown.

The breakfast buffet at the hotel was cheap, but unfortunately, it also tasted cheap. It was quick and did the job, but quality of the food was below average. The hot tub had an excessive amount of chemicals, it burned my nose and eyes just sitting in it for 5 mins.

The parking was wonderful, the room facing the beach was wonderful, the beach was clean amd had chairs set up to accommodate all, and my daughter very much enjoyed feeding the ducks. Everything was clean and the food was excellent. The bartender makes an excellent LIT and the service was always phenomenal in the restaurant. Check in and check out are very easy and they will try to accommodate your needs. This was an excellent place to stay and relax. There is a park located nearby with a splash pad if a family wanted to venture out.

The restaurant closing at 10 and not reopening until 3 was disappointing every day. The food is far superior or at least as quality as anything within driving distance from the resort. They really need to be open by 1 for those staying to eat lunch because people would definitely stay and eat lunch. Several people were talking about this while we were there at the pool and said they’d ordered pizza the night before and put it in their fridge for lunch so they didn’t need to leave. When you’re there to relax you will want to stay. It’s wonderful.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel and I can't recommend it enough! The cleanliness of the entire hotel was truly impressive. What stood out the most was the incredibly helpful staff – they were always ready with a smile and eager to assist with anything I needed. The spa area was a fantastic! After a long day, the comfortable beds ensured a great night's sleep. And the view from my terrace was simply breathtaking, overlooking the beautiful lake. It was the perfect spot to unwind. I would definitely choose to stay here again!"

Location was perfect. Room size and pool location were also perfect. The hot tub temp was great. The last few I have stayed in, the hot tub was scaulding! We will definitely be staying next yr. The breakfast wasn't terrible.

There was never anyone at the front desk. The young woman that checked us in was super friendly and personalable, but that was the last of that. When I did see someone at the desk, they didn't greet anyone when they walked in and I thought it was kind of rude. The desk is super close to the front door, the least they could say is "good morning" or even a hi!

We had a King suite with kitchenette on 3rd floor, overlooking the beach. Very quiet, felt like we had the floor to.ourselves first 3 days. Got there Sept 29th to find 83° and warm enough to still go in the lake. It dropped to 78° next day, but still beach weather in fall. Our first morning, we opened the drapes to see an eagle on the beach, breakfasting on his fish. The pool and hot tub were great temperatures, and rarely busy. Very pretty area. Having the lounge/restaurant right in the building is a big plus when you get tired and don't feel like going back out for dinner. Parking was no problem, as a weekday stay in fall is easy, cheaper, and the place wasn't busy.

Our room had a kitchenette with stove, full fridge, dishes & pans, which was great, but no dish towels or dish rag, and no plug for the sink. The living room furniture is adequate, but not super comfy. The squared off arms on the couch & chair are rather uncomfortable. This room used to have a small dining table with 2 chairs for eating in your room, but has been replaced with a desk type table with one desk chair. Not convenient for a couple to dine together.

The hotel is on the water. we had a side view of the beach area from the balcony which was nice The bathroom shower is big and the bathroom was very clean. the linens were nice and clean. lots of desk space, mini fridge and microwave which would be nice for a longer stay. We only stayed one night. Hot tea was always available. We had fun dancing in the tavern. our stay was from 8pm-5am. There is an indoor pool and a large spa, we didn't get to try out. We would stay here again.

The carpet in the room is the typical hotel carpet. It is nice to have carpet when it's cold. That type of carpet just seems to feel dirty. We left too early to enjoy the complimentary coffee or breakfast, service starts at 8am. we had a 5am departure.

This is a wonderful resort....we are already talking about our next trip. All of the staff were friendly and very good at their jobs. This includes the bartender, waiters and front desk, housekeeping and the gal who was taking care of the indoor pool. I wish I knew their names so I could give them a proper shout out. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and the breakfast buffet both mornings...both very good. The food was excellent (I had the rib eye, my husband had the Reuben sandwich and our grandson had the pizza...all reasonably priced. The bar has a great happy hour and it's nice you can take your drink out to the beach where there were plenty of beach chairs. Our room was large, comfortable, well maintained and nicely decorated. We had a Court View, but next year I would love to have a full Lake View.

Not one thing.

We always come here every time we go to Traverse city, we have gotten a double queen, a king, and a king suite with the hot tub which was amazing. We love this place we love the food at the restaurant, my only one drawback was I always get lobster tail and we went recently I got it again it was beautiful when it came out it was big when it came out but unfortunately it wasn't cooked all the way through. But they took care of that and took it off our bill!
