The family and their homestay are very welcoming. The view and outdoor area full of plants and flowers are beautiful. Very close to bus drop off, Main Street, and local sites. They have bike rental, very economical and excellent bikes. Breakfast is very good and they provide hot water 24/7. Bathroom is big and comfortable so is the dormitory. When I arrived so early in the morning, the owner generously let me check in early to rest. They also have private bungalows with private bathroom. Definitely recommend staying here for solo and all travelers. Also helped with information about sites to visit, and bus tickets ( I bought my bus ticket with them)

I found everything to my liking and comfort

Perfect position far from the traffic, beautiful location with lush plants and a cute dog. Clean rooms, when it rains the soft sound helps a smooth sleep. They allowed us to have a quick stop to the toilet before we had to catch our night train, really appreciated. They offered also a shower, but we just visited a spa. They organise a lot of different tours around the astonishing natural and historic beuties of tam coc, we took the one for mua caves, the ancient city of hoa lu, trang an, the thien mu pagoda (guided tour number 2, all day from 8:30 to 18:00). High quality guided tour, recommended. Good traditional coffee and breakfast.

The bed was very comfortable. Dan was super lovely and helpful. I organised a bus to my next stop there. In the dorm the beds had curtains and there was a locker each. The location was great as it was just a few minutes walk from the main road so everything was easily accessible but it felt really peaceful. Great value.

The dorm room floor was always wet or damp. Every morning the floor would be really wet to the point where you would almost slip over on the floor. This meant the room did also smell of damp, especially when there was no incense burning. The room was cleaned everyday and the floor would dry out over the day but the wetness was uncomfortable.

The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived late at night, and they had thoughtfully left the key out for me and even left the lights on. They truly went out of their way to make sure everything was okay. Still, the kindness of the staff more than made up for these things. The owner was so helpful – arranging bikes, offering great advice for day trips, and even driving me to the bus station. His wife was also extremely kind and attentive. They even let me take a shower after check-out before my departure.

The room itself was a bit stuffy, and the bathroom had some mold – but that’s not uncommon in parts of Asia. There were also some small bugs and spiders. Additionally, there were no complimentary water bottles or room service like in other hostels or hotels.

The owner, Dan, was exceptionally hospitable and spoke excellent English. His knowledge of the area and opportunities available was tremendous due to having been brought up in the area and having previously worked in the tourism sector. Other guests were nice, from various countries and of all ages. There was a couple who had stayed there 20 years ago and returned annually for long stays. The location was ideal being at the very edge of the village, overlooking rice paddies, but only 5 minutes walk from the bus station in one direction and the centre (the lake) in the other. Tremendous value for money.

Dan is a great host. Very supportive during my stay with every need I had and he booked all my tours and transfers. He is a very kind person who takes care of guests. The homestay is very pretty. I really liked the small houses. Room is spacious and also the bathroom. Location is good..few minutes walking from the main road and very close to restaurants, shops and massage centers. Really recommend this place and I will go back if I will visit Tam Coc again.

I was not fully satisfied with the breakfast. Dan cooks it for each guest on the spot so it’s fresh but there is only one plate/choice and it’s based on what Dan prepares that day. It would have been nice to have more choices. But what Dan has prepared was very good quality.

Everything was just amazing! The homestay is located 5 min footwalk outside of the busy main street of Tam Coc, with an amazing view on beautiful rice fields right across the road. The atmosphere with the host (Dan, super funny guy, speaks very good english!), the neighbors and the other guests was great, lots of good recommendations and just a cool vibe. Just 1 min walk onto the rice fields in front of the homestay, you have a perfecf view of the sunset. Dan offers laundry services, an amazing breakfast that varies daily, and one can rent bicycles and scooters for affordable prices. We were sad to leave this place!

Very good location - close to the main street, ATMs, shops, the lake and countless eateries but in a calm side street such that we could sleep without problems. Extremely friendly host/owner, always available, welcoming, with good English, treated us for tea and offered help with organizing tours. It's not a "normal" hotel but a row of small bungalows which gives privacy to everyone. We loved the breakfasts, especially the banana pancake! Room was spacious, clean, offered toiletries, AC, fan and a hairdryer.

Mattress was quite hard (a usual thing in Vietnam I guess).

I stayed with Mr Dan over tet and he was very helpful when there was disturbances in travel in the days around tet. He helped me to book more accommodations and travel and gave lots of recommendations for things to go. The home stay had a nice feel to it with the other travelers that are drawn to it. I arrived very early and Mr Dan helped to check me in early and let me hire a bicycle to kill a few hours before. Tam Coc was my fav place of my Vietnam travels.

The dorm got a little chilly at night so wrap up if it’s winter :) Mr Dan has extra blankets you can borrow too.

Great and warm hospitality from Mr Dan from the moment of booking up until Check Out. He made the stay very comfortable and enjoyable and truly strive to take care of customers' needs inc transportation arrangements at a very reasonable price. The homestay is 4 minutes walking distance to Tam Coc boat cruise, shops and other facilities but at the same time is in a very calm and quite area. For muslims, there are great food options within 3 - 6 minutes walking distance which is a great bonus. Definately recommended and will sfay there again if I come again in TamCoc.
