Everything you could ask for in a boutique hotel, the interior design throughout the hotel was impressive, especially in an old building, perfect location in the old town of Bolzano. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in Europe. Be aware of multiple stairs, but that did not bother us. Highly Recommend.

The staff were incredible. The Flix bus drops you at the Bolzano Sud station which is no where near the main station and there were no taxis around in the early evening. I could have taken the train to the next station, but was unfamiliar with the metro system so when I called the hotel, they called me a taxi. That was just the beginnng of a great experience that included allowing me a late check out with no charge due to a rainy day departure. Breakfast was really good, the building is so interesting architecturally and very well decorated, and the location is great.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Bolzano, with everything you need just a minute's walk away. It beautifully combines a modern, stylish interior with the charm and soul of the original, renovated building. Traveling with our 4-month-old baby, we were delighted by the excellent facilities and thoughtful accommodations provided. The only challenge is the lack of a lift, as the building’s historic design doesn’t allow for one, requiring everything to be carried by hand (the hotel staff did so). Despite this, the experience was exceptional, and the staff’s attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable.

The breakfast selection is somewhat limited and lacks variety.

Everything was exceptional. Absolutely loved our stay. The historic building is magnificent, breakfast was superb, delicious and beautifully laid out. Possibly the nicest breakfast we have experienced at a hotel. The location is top notch in the heart of the historical centre within easy walking distance from the station and the staff were amazing. There are lots of tucked away common areas to sit and relax. Great wine bar right opposite.

We loved climbing the stairs in this beautiful historic building but if climbing stairs are a challenge for you accessing rooms may be difficult. Not a negative at all for us as the stairs are part of the charm of this fantastic building.

The staff are exceptionally helpful, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience. The breakfast is excellent, providing a great start to the day. Additional amenities, such as the sauna and rooftop area, add a special touch to the stay. Highly recommended for those seeking comfort, charm, and a prime location.

Our room felt a bit crowded for a family with teenage kids, this was a minor issue compared to the overall experience.

The whole place is tasteful, unique in its design, wood-beamed ceilings and frescoes in places. It’s charming and well located near restaurants and shopping, e.g., the Portici. The staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was an inviting, well presented buffet—there was almost everything you’d want and expect. I was moved to an interior apartment, meaning it did not face either street; it offered privacy and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay. I tend to be frugal, but I didn’t mind spending extra here.

Goldenstern Townhouse in Bolzano is a charming and unique place to stay. Nestled in the heart of the old town, the location couldn’t be better for exploring the city’s rich history and culture. The rustic decor of the townhouse adds to the immersive experience of staying in such a historic area. The rooms are well-appointed, blending modern amenities with traditional aesthetics, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.

The absence of a lift is a small price to pay for the authentic experience and the excellent service provided by the staff.

I felt like I was in a room near Juliet”. There was a private balcony overlooking a courtyard. We entered through an almost hidden door behind a market stall. We enjoyed the privacy, but also the sounds of family life nearby. The location in the heart of the old city was wonderful. Also, they gave us a glass of Prosecco free at the restaurant. The restaurant was very good.

Two flights of windy stairs were part of the charm, but a bit tricky to carry suitcases down.

The hotel is gorgeous, ideally located, and extremely comfortable. The frescos, which date back hundreds of years, were a particularly beautiful and fascinating element. We enjoyed the breakfast spread immensely, as it was well-stocked and offered a variety of options that suited both of us.

I have no complaints or suggestions. The hotel is wonderful and we will certainly return. I've even recommended it to colleagues who are also visiting Bozen.

Beautiful design forward hotel in the perfect location to wander around Bolzano. The apartment was incredibly spacious with everything you would need. We only stayed one night so didn't get to take full advantage, but the room had a full kitchen and laundry. You do have to walk (about 5-10 minutes)from the car park to the hotel on cobblestone streets so be prepared to carry your luggage. There is a new lift to certain floors in the hotel, so if luggage and stairs will be a problem, request a room with lift access. Don't miss the tiny roof deck with excellent views over the city. Overall, nice stay and would recommend if you're in Bolzano.

The bathroom decor was quite sparse and the color made it feel like a hospital bathroom. Compared to the lovely design of the rest of the hotel, this felt like an afterthought but it was clean and roomy.
