It’s conveniently located walking distance to bars, restaurants, and central. It’s cute and it serves the purpose. It was clean and had the basic accommodations (basic shampoo, 2 towels, etc).

It’s nice but the rooms are small. The restroom is tiny. The bed (mattress and pillows) were so uncomfortable. It was just me (I’m short and average weight) and the mattress would sink to one side! You can hear people walking by your room- the walls are thin. I think it was a bit overpriced.

It was very minimalistic. I was only there to sleep and the place had all the basic amenities without the frills that would have been a markup at another hotel. The best part was that it was within walking distance from the event I was at, so there was no need for an Uber.

It’s easy to miss if you’re not paying close enough attention. There’s only a paper sign in the door. Had there been a minimal sign above the front door, that would be helpful in finding the place upon one’s first visit.

The hotel Gigi was fantastic, clean, small, great location. Only thing make sure you know this is a staffless location. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and you’re right near the wharf with the Midway carrier. When you make your reservation, you’re sent codes to get you into the building and get you into your room. Also, you need to lock your room so they don’t lock automatically. Those are just two things. Really nice stay.

Location of the hotel is superb, pharmacy, restaurants, stores and the old town are right next door, quite close to the airport and the cruise port as well and it wasn't busy or noisy either. I really enjoyed the self check-in method, it was super easy, received all the instructions and door codes via email, so when I've arrived I just had to let myself in. Room was basically new and clean and the bed was comfy as well. Rita is super friendly and super nice, I didn't have any question or issue, but I saw her carrying around her phone and papers all the time, so she is always ready to help with any questions others might have. Overall great value for the money.

The location was great. Simple but clean. The host was there when we arrived. She was very kind.

Parking was a pain due to no onsite parking. Which when I opened my email right before arrival I discovered. That will teach me. I was warned. There was a concert in the area on our arrival day so it made finding parking an even bigger pain. Had to park about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

The location, in the middle of downtown. The facilities were well lit seemed safe for my son and I. The value allowed for us to have extra spending money. I don’t need a coffee maker, iron, all the extra decor that just gets in the way. Was quiet and comfy. Super clean.

I’m sure my fault. We didn’t realize no shampoo and conditioner. No big deal $15 at CVS was worth a safe quiet place.

Hotel Gigi was our saving grace this trip! We had a booked an airbnb that ended up being a disaster, unsafe and very dirty, and were driving around downtown San Diego during the busiest time trying to find a hotel that was in our budget. Luckily I was able to chat with a wonderful woman from hotel Gigi over the phone who went above and beyond to turn our terrible experience into one that was memorable and fun! Hotel Gigi is in the perfect location, the staff are kind and helpful, going above and beyond for you even they are not on site, and the rooms are clean and safe. We toasted to "hotel Gigi" the whole rest of the trip!

There were a couple of guests who were not sure who to contact if they needed help during their stay. I had a number that I was able to share but this could be more clear.

The location is excellent. The rooms are very clean. The amenities are basic but if you want a place to sleep and shower, it works well. Overall, the value is very good.

The room doors will not open until exactly 4:00 pm so even a 20 minute early arrival will have you waiting in the hallway. Since there is no in-person reception, I guess that is fair.

Location is excellent being in the middle of San Diego and two short blocks away from Petco Park. Rita the host was very kind and hospitable and the unit was very clean. You can tell that the entire building has been renovated.

Units are small, but perfect for the purpose of going to ball games and visiting the city. If you're looking for a amenities there are other options elsewhere, but not at this bargain.

Rita, the host was excellent and very responsive. There was free water also. It was a great location to stay for our concert at Petco. Only complaint would be the bed was awful.

Unfortunately, the bed was awful. It was impossible to sleep longer than a few minutes on that thing. Rita was beyond nice and it’s not her fault. The bed just sucked.
