The room was large with a nice bathroom and small "veranda" with two chairs. There was a medium-sized table which was good for eating and for my computer. The bed and pillows were comfortable and extra blankets were in the room, so they were easily available.

Only problem was the small refrigerator didn't have a small freezer. I use gel packs for my cooler and lunch bag, so I didn't have any place to freeze them. Ice was available, but I prefer my gel packs. Also, I know that pets are allowed, but they are supposed to be kept on leash. Many of the people didn't have their pets on leash in the small lawn area between the hotel and the beach.

Everything!!!!! The warm welcome, nothing to much trouble, beautifully decorated room and fantastic sea view. We arrived just in time to enjoy sunset on our balcony and as early birds sunrise on the near by pier. Where we were lucky enough to see dolphins, sea lions and whales 🐳. I had read the reviews before our stay and wish I had listened and spent more than one night in this wonderful accomadation and chilled out town. It is a destination in its own right not just a passing through stop off. We would recommend the local Sea Shanty restaurant for great hospitality and great food.

The room was large and well equipped. The bedding was very comfortable and there was a little outside deck where you could take in the partial view. And they provide treats, a water bowl and furniture coverings for your dog. There is also a lovely grassy area to walk your dog and barbecues and tables overlooking the beach.

Rooms that have "a partial view" are in the front building, which means you only really see the view, which is on either side of that front building, from the little balcony or the couch at the end of the room. Which also means you are mostly staring at another building and the inhabitants going in and out. So less view and less privacy than you might expect.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The entire staff was so friendly. We stayed in the beachfront room and we watched the ocean waves from bed. My husband is a smoker and there is a nice smoking area for smokers. There is a really nice fire pit BBQ that you can make some amazing steaks on. If you have pets this is also your place. There is a huge green space for them to run or you can walk about 50 steps and let them run the beach. I love how they also have an outdoor shower area to clean up after the beach. We are already planning our next stay.

Great location, simple and clean room right on the ocean for under $300. Our hostess gave on point recommendations for dinner, and cookies just across the street. Next time we will bring our dog Hawkeye.

The Beach Bum Bar across the street posted their hours as 11:00 - closing. Turned out that "closing" was earlier than we had hoped so we could not have the spicy polish dog and Coney Island dog to go with our wine and cheese in our room watching for a green flash. We ended up taking out soup from a nice dinner house just next door so all was good.

We booked a lesser room that had a postage stamp view, but an upgrade was only $10/night more, and that had a very nice view of the Cayucos pier and the surfers. No breakfast, but afternoon cookies and hot coffee all day. Loved Cayucos - had this small town "endless summer" surfer vibe you don't get in Morro Bay or Avila Beach. Kind of hate to mention that, as I expect more people will want to descend on Cayucos now. Thursday AM Farmer's Market got some good bread and fruit; it kicked off with an acapella national anthem from one of the locals. Very cool. Several appealing restaurants / bakeries / coffee shops and a small market. Room was also very large and very comfortable. A bit expensive, but I'd stay here again definitely.

The front desk and owner are very friendly. The room are exceptionally clean! There were no trace of sands on the floor. It's a pet friendly Inn. Per my husband when he talked to the owner, they will wash the carpet everytime there's a pet inside the room. The location is literally in front of the beach. They provided an outdoor shower to spray the sands out of you.

Freshly remodeled inside and out definitely worth staying at rooms are perfect with a awesome bed made me want to go buy a new bed when i got home it was that good and if you have a room on the shore you will not be disappointed veiw is amazing of the bay. Just sitting on my balcony I watched whales and dolphins go by along with other wild life just a great relaxing stay. Your able to stoll from the beach to your room with there own beach access which was great I really couldn't think of one thing that was bad about my stay honestly. Definitely will be a life long costumer after my amazing experience

Beautiful location great for being in town and near the pier. Old style hotel but nicely renovated and clean.

The fact dogs were allowed in any room. There were a lot of small dogs barking and sometimes relieving themselves on the grass in front of our room. Maybe a special area for people not traveling with dogs or vs versa.

The room was nice, comfortable, decent view and very quiet considering the number of dogs and kids around. We never really heard other guests and we spent much of our time on the balcony. And we loved hearing the waves and frogs at night.

The worst part was repeatedly banging our legs on the corners of the bed platform. Ouch! We had a nice view of the beach and pier (and parking lot for people watching) but any smoking or bbq smoke would drift our way with the wind. Minor complaints overall.
