Our 2 bed accommodation was great value, our beds were comfortable, the giant spa bath was great and despite being on a crossroads, it was quiet. We arrived in Katoomba by train then got a bus directly to the motel as it stops across the road. It is a 10-15 min walk to the iSite / 3 Sister's lookout and another short walk or bus ride will take you to Scenic World too, so you could easily stay here without a car.

We were surprised with the lack of kitchen items as we tried to self-cater for breakfast and lunch to cut holiday costs. The room rules stated that no cooking was permitted, but they did provide enough plates, cups and cutlery for you to enjoy a take-away. However, we had to wash up in the bathroom sink which wasn't great.

Great little motel that I stay at fairly often. Mid week it's quite cheap. Nothing fancy, it's that typical old style that is common in Katoomba. Everything in the room worked perfectly. I was very comfortable. Motel is in quiet part of town right near the Three Sisters and hiking trails. It's also directly across from the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company with a variety of hand crafted chocolates, so that's a plus. I really love that it is no contact check in. It's so convenient. I've stayed at other places in Katoomba and Leura and there is always a line up of people waiting to check in and it takes ages. It feels great to spend the day out hiking and come to the motel and walk straight into a lovely warm room. It's such a big plus. This time I was in rm 42 and it had a really good fridge with a freezer section so I was able to freeze a couple of water bottles for the Esky. Room also had a small sofa and dining table so very convenient. Another nice thing is that I've always found the rooms to be very clean. They do a better job here of cleaning than most other places I've stayed in. Parking is easy. I've never had a problem mid week.

Location close to Echo Point is excellent for the Three Sisters and the walking trails, a bit less so for the town centre, shops, etc. The "contactless check-in" worked fine. The room itself was clean, roomy and comfortable, well equipped with a kettle, microwave, iron and hair dryer. The air-conditioner was effective (though we didn't use it much in the mild weather). The bed was large and comfortable, extra pillows were available in the cupboard. Very good wi-fi in the room. Would definitely stay again.

A power point close to the bed would have been nice, as we had to leave the mobiles charging overnight on the other side of the room. The bathroom fittings, while fully adequate and functional, are somewhat dated. The sound-proofing could also have been better, as we could hear people chatting in the car-park late into the night and were disturbed by an early-morning departure next door.

I really liked how the electric blankets were supplied however we found it difficult to get them turned out/ensure they were functioning. The beds were super comfortable and it was all in all worth the price paid, affordable, accessible, and well located! Very close to the scenic world, Echo point lookout, and reasonably located to Wentworth and Federal Falls.

Potentially a body wash sample in addition to the shampoo/conditioner, maybe also a fork or two although there are no cooking facilities I understand this likely isn’t necessary.

This was a very straightforward booking with timely messages (email and text) from the owners in advance explaining the check-in procedure. My request by phone for a slightly later check-out on the final day was accepted. Overall a hassle-free experience and good value for money.

It would be helpful to have a couple of plates, some cutlery and a scourer. The owners make it clear that cooking is not allowed (which is fine) but a microwave is provided for heating take away food so some cleaning implements would have been useful.

Big room, with a second bedroom (used it for our cases). Big corner whirlpool bath, which was a novelty. Whole place was just retro. Useful fridge and microwave.

Room cleaning was a bit patchy. One day they missed making the bed, another day they missed the bins. As no one was on site, it was not possible to get this sorted until the next day. Bedside lights wiring was suspect, as the light flickered if the flex was moved. Despite the fact that there was a fridge and microwave, we were discouraged from eating in our room. No plates or cutlery.

I stay a lot in the mountains. I stayed here mostly due to lower price. It’s a typical old style motel but there are a few differences. I was in rm34 on a Sunday so it was quiet. The room is not all that big but it was spotlessly clean. Some motels in Katoomba are not, so that was a pleasant surprise. Everything worked. It’s just a little thing but I liked the block out curtains. They completely blocked out the morning sun. Shower was hot and strong. Towels were big and fluffy. Check in was contactless and super easy. Suits me, I hate long check in procedures. Room even had a little table and chairs as well as a sofa. Also microwave which I used. Bring your own plates and cutlery. Very close to Echo Point (three sisters) but a long way from town. With paid parking in Katoomba that’s a bit of a disadvantage but motel price offsets it.

Fridge was tiny, smaller than a normal bar fridge and the only shelf was missing. It was also noisy but still ok. Once the wardrobe door was shut it didn't bother me.

The room was a good size, beds and pillows were comfy, great location!!

There was no crockery or cutlery so couldn't give kids cereal or toast in the morning.

The location was superb; close to the walking/hiking tracks, Echo Point (3 Sisters viewing area), Katoomba Cascade and Waterfall, and Scenic World. And the local bus stops were close by (2-minute walk). The room was spacious and well heated. Cleanliness was okay overall (unless you look behind the bedside dresser and other not-within-sight areas).

Cobwebs and dust behind bedside dresser and other not-within-sight areas. The shower water temperature can change rapidly (much hotter or much colder) depending on what the neighbouring unit did (turning on or turning off their wash basin tap or shower). So, we 'managed' our visit to the shower based on the sound of water flow next door.

The room was spacious & perfect for what we needed for 5 days. It was an old building but provided well ,It had a compact small area we could prep a few meals & good value for price paid. It was in a perfect location to catch regular buses into town & scenic world & good to be able to stroll down to Echo Point. Joseph the manager gave valuable information prior to arriving , extra provisions provided by hotel & places to see, Thankyou.
