The room was very spacious, nice, and clean. We felt safe in the room and building. Liked the location very easy to get around town.

We did not have breakfast there... We woke up to late. I think parking should be included for all guests... On our 2nd day at your Hotel, we brought our trash bag to the cleaning lady, the 1st lady we encountered was very polite and took our trash bag, we told her we did not need our room cleaned and asked her for a few more paper cups, so she called the 2nd lady out of the room next door and told her what we needed, the 2nd lady was not to happy she gave us the cups but was not very pleasant while we were interacting with her.

My family and I were greeted by the staff and felt welcomed upon arriving. The valet service was great. Our room was also clean and spacious. The room service was also very nice. Our room had a mini refrigerator and a nice TV. The coffee maker was good and easy to use.

The faucet had low water pressure. It made washing our baby's bottle time consuming and difficult. We requested a crib but was told none were available, and instead, we got a play pen. Minor inconvenience, but a crib would've been good for our 6 month old baby to sleep in.

Conveniently located right near the pier and in the heart of charming downtown. The beds are comfortable and nice and firm, which has been hard to find in many hotels I’ve tried in Monterey where the beds are too soft. The room was well appointed, clean and modern with good amenities. — and a great value. I’ve started at more expensive hotels, such as the Clement or Portola. And the Marriott has them beat bed-wide.

My only peeve was that the ned comforter was so small. My partner and I both had hands and feel sticking out because of how small it was.

The room was big (2 queen size beds) with lots of space to move around. Bathroom was clean and shower was good. Staff were excellent, especially Emily who shared her top tips with us (thank you, Emily, you were a super star!). The location is fantastic as it is close to good places to eat and walking distance to Cannery Row.

The walls are very thin with little sound insulation so we were woken one morning by next door’s alarm going off!! However, it was generally quiet and there was little street noise past 11pm which was good.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was very clean. The location was good. We didn't make use of the breakfast or the restaurant on-site. Would suggest as long as guests are notified prior to reserving the parking situation of either valet or parking garage a couple of blocks away.

The area that included the vanity was large but the lighting needed to be better, The lighted mirror was too low for use because there isn't an area to put a chair, so the light from the mirror didn't make any difference in the lighting. We used it as a night light. I was not happy to find out that there are only two choices for parking: valet at $40 a day or local parking garages at $25 a day but a couple of blocks away.

Perfectly functional and comfortable hotel. The reason I stay there is for their firm matresses. The location is also perfect.

Despite the good beds, the super thin comforter is too small for the bed. Makes no sense. But I still stay there because my back does best on their matresses - even better than the Intercontinental or Portola.

The hotel was very nice and clean, pretty big

1. On breakfast they charged us extra for the coffee (without telling so a head) 2. We were 2 families. On arrival they claimed we reserved 1 room only, although we showed the booking which clearly said 2 rooms - so our friends had to book and pay for the second room separately. Two weeks later we discovered they charged us for the 2 rooms without saying anything (as if we cancelled the second room and need to fully pay for the room). Now we need to call from another country to settle the issue and prove it was fully paid by our friends. 3. parking fees are very high (I think it was 40$ for 1 night)

The whole facility including the room is new/modernized inside and clean. Nice stuff and super good breakfast containing many kinds of choices. The room is quiet at night. Walking distance ~7min to fish wharf

Parking fee ~50$. Wi-Fi >15$. The Wi-Fi charge is ridiculous in downtown Monterey.

Great structure with friendly and professional staff. Valet parking worked well. Breakfast was good and with quite some options. Location is great, very near to the wharf, with a nice walk you can get to the aquarium.

Cappuccino not included for breakfast, quite a surprise for an hotel of this level
