The shower was amazing and all you need. Other showers are too complicated. The bedding/linen (not white towels 😁) The massive TV! The beautiful coffee machine and capsules. Loved the welcome and goodbye from reception and cleaners :)

The slat window next to the bed, let light through into the room all night It was quite cold but that's because I didn't manage the heat pump properly and the bathroom was really cold, but ran the shower before I got in to warm the room up first. Worried about our TV being too loud, couldn't tell what volume was too loud after what time but next time it may not be fully booked.

We had the best time at The Sails! I am so glad we had upgraded a few months ago to a one bedroom apartment, as it rained most of the two days that we were there and we were glad for the extra space. We felt very much at home and enjoyed exploring Nelson, even in the rain. We ordered breakfast each morning, it was bountiful and delicious, such a treat to have it delivered to the room. Cherie was terrific! She recommended several great restaurants within easy walking distance and was always so cheerful and pleasant. The bed was my favorite in our several week visit to the South Island- comfortable with great sheets and pillows. Great location and extremely clean.

The place was very clean, well-equipped, and clearly designed with care. The location is great and it’s nice and quiet at night. I booked at 7:30 pm for a 9 pm check-in and only later realized the office closed at 8, so I felt nervous and a bit sorry about the timing. Luckily I got a quick and helpful response which made everything easy. At checkout I met a lovely and friendly staff member who even recognized my room right away. It all made me feel really welcome. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, amazing staff, very clean with lots of room and the most comfortable beds of any hotel we have stayed. We ordered breakfast every morning and found every option delicious. The pancakes with fried banana was amazing! Heather and Michael were gracious hosts and very helpful. Ample free parking and very easy access to major roadways. Lovely walk along the river very close by. Amazing view of the Nelson sunset. We highly recommend the Sails!

The suite we had was fantastic. Everything we needed for our mid winter getaway, clean and the bed was comfy. Location was awesome, walking distance and vet central, it was easy to find our way around from there. The staff were so lovely and helpful, nothing was a problem, even though our flights to Nelson were delayed. I would book this place again and recommend to friends and family.

The Sails Nelson is an outstanding property with everything you need for a short or long stay including kitchen facilities. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our room also had a very spacious bathroom with great water pressure & a heated towel rack. There is also an on-site laundry if you need to do some ‘travelling washing’. The location is also excellent only a short 400 metre walk to the centre of downtown Nelson.

Very well appointed, lots of inclusions normally found with high end hotels, including coffee machine and generous supply of pods, two large TV's and quiet double glazing with no road noise, soft carpets, fully equipped kitchen, sofa and dual waterfall shower in the bathroom. Will definitely stay again.

We had a night of luxury after 2 months sleeping in a little camper van, so glad we chose Sails. Modern and spacious. Very well located and quiet. The bed was like a cloud, large TV with access to Netflix, fast WiFi. Kitchen and bathroom had everything you need, milk was left in the fridge for us and we had use of the laundry if needed. The owner is lovely and gave us lots of great recommendations. Really loved our stay here, so wish we could have stayed longer!

This is the second time I’ve booked here and was surprised to get an amazing upgrade when we arrived, loved staying here the bed was super comfortable really nice & modern room with a coffee machine (bonus) Receptionist was fabulous ,I’d highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Nelson , easy walking distance to town .

This is my second stay at the Sails. Very clean and well equipped room. Nice to have a private porch to sit and enjoy the greenery. Easy walk to downtown. Has laundry facilities on site. Staff were great and helpful. Plan to return.
