The reception and valet parking staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and functional, as were the public areas of the hotel. The room was quiet, good for us on a long and tiring journey. There's no dinner restaurant onsite, but we found good options a short walk from the hotel.

The wifi is advertised as free, but is only free to members of Marriot's club; joining the club is free, but results in advertising email so isn't really free. The parking cost is very high, with no self-parking options we could find at this downtown location. Getting to the hotel from the interstate was tricky in traffic.

The staff are the real gems at this hotel! They are kind, friendly and go out of their way to help out. The cleaning staff left our room in pristine condition every day. Truly a special place to stay because of the people.

Not a major negative, but there isn't parking on site. You have to use the valet parking ($35/night). The valet parkers are an amazing bunch - funny, engaging and interesting people to chat with - but it is a bit inconvenient if you need to get in and out often while staying.

The staff were very friendly, from the front desk, the staff cleaning around the hotel, maintenance, bar staff, always smiling, conversing, offering assistance right away, we felt at home.

The parking. To pay $35 a day to park, when we were staying multiple nights.. we found parking off site at a city ramp and paid $32 for all 4 nights. Worth it to save on the cost.

Room and common areas were exceptionally clean. Bathroom was large. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the very large windows in our room, looking across the street to the Excel Energy Center. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The valet staff was wonderful! They were all so friendly and ready to help with any questions about the area. They brought us our vehicle very quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location to go to events at the Xcel Center. Very clean and quiet even with the hotel being sold out. Helpful and welcoming staff. Loved the valet parking as it is very limited in the area. Will stay here again if at an event in downtown St. Paul.

Only negative was that the beds are really firm so woke up a little sore.

It was literally across the street from venue. Beautiful hotel , friendly , clean. Will stay there for all events in St. Paul

Be careful even though I had paid in full with booking they charged my card a second time and charged me for garage parking when I did not have a car . They are very willing to refund and fix . So check your receipt

The location is perfect for a concert. the hotel is modern and felt very new. the room was spacious and quiet, and the beds were very comfortable.

the attached restaurant- Smorgies- was supposed to be open late - but closed early on a concert night because the "ran out of food"- not sure if this is run by the hotel or not.

We were in town for a hockey game, and the location could not have been better. We were right across from the Excel Energy Center and could even see the parking lot from our window. The staff was wonderful and took great care of us. The attached restaurant was also really nice, and the valet parking was a huge plus. Overall, no complaints!

New hotel, clean, friendly staff. Within walking distance of Xcel! Valet parking staff were awesome. We went to a 1pm game and couldn’t check in until 3pm but the staff was awesome and let us valet park our truck and let us bring our luggage in until check in! Would stay here again.

Only parking available was Valet. So paying for parking is the only downside

Awesome, still has that new building smell. Spotless. Staff, every single one of them, from person answering my phone call before arrival. To check in, to barkeeps. Nice selection of local tap beers. Valet parking, easy as can be. Checkout easy. Outside area nice. Can't wait to see how the area off of patio turns out. Will be great for summer.

Complimentary coffee would be nice in lobby.
