Excellent location with a bus stop right out front. I was visiting a friend in the area and needed something close by. This is a great little pub with rooms to rent. Everyone who works here is very friendly, the service is excellent. The rooms are not much, but they are a great value for the money and very very clean! Things are pretty dated and could use some updating, but the room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed.

The furniture is a little outdated, but that does not really matter to me. Everything was clean and worked properly. Beds were comfortable.

Location was excellent easy access to all thats needed for a break at the coast. Friendly welcoming staff and everything we needed was supplied in the room. Loved the room tea/coffee plentiful and nothing missing for our needs. When next back will opt for the same one if possible was decent size and bright and airy, looking froward to another stay.

Was happy and for the cost was good vaule for money.

The hotel is situated about half a mile from the harbour and town centre and it is a relatively quiet part of the town. We arrived mid afternoon to get a parking space. The room ( No 1 ) on the ground floor was a reasonable size. It was clean and everything worked OK. The beds were clean and comfortable. There did not seem to be any food outlets nearby so we walked into the town and found affordable pub food in Harbour street. Breakfast was available at a bakery in York Street

For the price paid, it is difficult to find fault with anything

The location of the hotel is good - close to the train station and several bus stops, parks, the town, beach etc as well as a few small shops, cafes etc. It was also the cheapest option by far for a week in July which is the main reason I chose it. I stayed here with my young daughter and just needed a base as I was in town visiting family and friends so it was perfect for that. The views from the room were nice - we could even see the sea - and I appreciated that there was a bath in the bathroom as my daughter prefers baths to showers. There's also a TV in the room, a kettle and supplies for making tea and coffee so I could at least have a cup of tea and my daughter could watch some cartoons while we were in the room.

Nothing, although if there had been a small fridge in the room it would have been perfect.

Location and parking is great. Bar area is very welcoming and accommodating- cheap drinks. Room comfortable and well equipped Plenty of storage/plug sockets and easily accessible out of hours Shower gel and shampoo provided in bathroom Good powerful shower

Not much it served its purpose Bathroom had a little bit of rust in the shower tray but that’s cosmetic and to be expected

Arrived at the property with a warm welcome shower straight to my room with no hassle. Rooms is very clean and bathroom facilities excellent. Was working night shifts but this wasn’t an issue as the out of hours door provided was easy to find and get into. Perfect for anyone working round the local area looking for a cheap but comfy stay, also allowed me a delayed checkout at no charge so I could get some sleep after a night shift before I checked out. All in all perfect stay and amazing value for money would definitely stay again.

All the staff and the manager were so friendly and helpful and the price and location were just right. Decent twin bed room on the top floor with good en suite bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

We were rushing around trying to get out before the early 10:30am checkout. Would be a nice touch to offer the option of a midday checkout, especially at weekends.

Good size family room, powerful shower, fluffy towels, easy access after hours and back door so you don't have to go through the pub, which is good if you have children. The pub is lovely and family friendly though and good price drinks including local ales.

There was no communication before or on arrival about check in process and we only got info by asking. Could use bedside tables and lamps- only had the main overhead light.

Breakfast not available.But this gave us freedom to eat when we wanted,Brunch or Lunch instead at other venues.Could come and go when we wanted by a back door instead of having to keep going through the bar.Although the bar staff were friendly and good beer and wine was available.

We would have liked an iron and board in the room.We had to go and search for it.Internet access was unavailable in our room.

The best shower I’ve ever used. So powerful. Adrian behind the bar was super helpful getting us checked in. We had 2 twin rooms and they were great for what we needed. Not massive in space but plenty. I was nervous it being a pub but it was so quiet. 8 minute walk to the harbour. Coop on the opposite side of the road. Ideal location. Beds comfy and super clean. Could smell the freshness of the sheets. Bath sheets left on the bed. Tea and coffee facilities. We are here the hottest day of the year and fans supplied in both rooms also. Private entrance to avoid going through the pub too! Free parking on the side streets. Loads of plug socket’s available in the room.

Not a criticism as we managed fine. The only mirror is in the bathroom, the light bulbs are warm white colour so the mirror doesn’t get the best lighting but it works for what people need. The photos need updating as the rooms are a lot more modern than you see. Lovely grey and yellow bedding to make the rooms feel fresher!
