We really enjoyed our stay during our short family vacation. The big family room was spacious, with large bathrooms and toilets. The beds were very comfortable, and the location was great close to everything we needed. Breakfast could have been better with a bit more variety, but it was acceptable considering the cost. One of the best features was the private parking, it felt much safer than parking on the street. Overall, a great experience. I definitely recommend this place to others looking to enjoy their stay here.

The room was very clean and well-maintained. The staff did housekeeping daily and replenished all items in the bathroom (soap, shower gel, toilet paper, etc.) during the process. The provided breakfast options were delicious and varied, we had no issues finding foods we liked. Everything was clearly fresh and was purchased/prepared the same morning. The hotel's location is very convenient and not far from the points of interest, especially when travelling via subway/tram. Staff members seem to be fluent in multiple languages, but it depends on the person (for example, there was one staff member who had no trouble communicating with us in English, but others we've spoken to struggled to understand us). A lot of the hotel's equipment feels rustic and is clearly well-loved (which we were partial to, it was very refreshing to see equipment that is being fixed and not just thrown away/replaced!). Overall, we found Borsalino to be very charming, with many quaint qualities - we'd definitely stay there again for the same price!

The hotel's walls are *very* thin, so if you sneeze, all your neighbours will hear you and vice versa :) It didn't bothered us too much as we were out for the majority of the day, but if you're looking for a quiet place with no distractions (eg. for work), it might be worth considering other options. It's also worth noting that at night, the street at which the hotel is located is quite busy/loud. We had no trouble falling asleep, but if you're sensitive to city sounds (bikes, dogs barking, car engines, etc.), then it might bother you.

Location is good. Close to subway (metro) station 5min. 3 min to Supermarket. Menagment is perfect. Very good attitude and helpful - ordered city taxi from hotel to bus station, and when I was late, came from sightseeing city of Porto not on time, taxi already went, hotel manager ordered another one, immediately came in 5 min, and no any questions. Everything was for customer - explanation of routes to reach interesting sites of city. Manager was very polite, helpful and with good manners.

Breakfast could be better, but for this price not bad.

The hotel itself is quite well located near to two metro stations: Marques and Combatentes (600-700m) so you can easily reach the city center for sightseeing. Hotel parking is very small and rather not for bigger cars but it's included in the price and well organized: when I was leaving I was blocked by some cars and afraid to leave to late but it was somehow managed in the way I could get out with no problem. Hotel staff was very kind during check-in and whole stay.

There's nothing I didn't like. Everything was ok from check-in to check-out.

The staff were amazing, very nice ladies at the reception and breakfast. They were helpful and pleasant. Location is good, there is a metro line nearby that gets you to the city center. Room was clean and cosy.

There were no eggs for breakfast, other than that the breakfast was ok.

Checking in was easy with friendly staff. Room was large, clean and nice sized bed and bathroom. Cable TV in the room with many channels and nice AC system. Breakfast was amazing with a nice array of good quality food, set up from 8am each day. Onsite parking was available which was safe and convenient. Good, but busy location with some restaurants around the area, as well as Metro station. Walking distance to Porto city center about 2.5km, but it was a nice walk and many things to see along the way.

Parking was a bit difficult to get to, with very small drive way next to the property and limited parking space. Be careful of your vehicles side mirrors and make sure to book in advance. That said it was a good parking location overall and our vehicle was safe, being off the street.

Very good hotel for this money. Clean, comfortable with good location. We stayed in big room with terrace and cool view. Breakfast was fine, some snacks, coffee/tea/juice — ok for breakfast. Location very well, 5 min from yellow metro line.

Staff partially speaks English :) But we don’t had problems with communication.

Exceptional value for budget travellers. Continental breakfast was perfect for a quick start to the day. Friendly and helpful staff.

Slow water leak in bathroom caused clothes on the floor to get wet. Toilet did not flush properly.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring. The breakfast was good. The staff was nice and welcoming. The room faced the road, so you could hear cars passing by, but it wasn’t a problem for me.

Location was convenient, about 30min walking from the city centre, and 8 minutes away from public transport, very close to self-service laundry places, restaurants, and supermarkets. You can use the fridge and the microwave. Room is serviced daily. Staff is friendly and there is always someone around. They only speak portuguese but do every effort to make you have a hassle-free experience.

Parking entrance was so tight I had to close the mirrors to go through and needed assistance from a person guiding from the outside. Breakfast only had fruit as healthy option, everything else was bread, cereal, ham, cheese, jam, butter, cow milk, etc.
