Palazzo Guinta - Porta Marina Ortigia made my stay in Ortigia more than I could have imagined. I was a little indulgent and stayed in the romantic suite as it had the balcony overlooking the marina and I am so glad that I did. It was wonderful large room with a very comfortable bed. The huge balcony space was brilliant to soak up the morning and afternoon sun and overlook the marina below. The location was excellent!! Breakfast. Wow!! Just wow!! I couldn’t believe the amount of food that I was served with so much variety. Savoury and sweet options overflowed each morning. I walked away daily very satisfied and very full. The staff were the best part of my stay. Welcoming. Knowledgeable. Sweet. Hilarious. Engaging. The tips of where to eat, what to see, what to do and how to fully embrace Ortigia and Siracusa made my time in Ortigia far more memorable than I expected. Thank you. Stop looking at options. This is the place to stay in Ortigia.

Interesting historic building right in heart of Ortygia. Very helpful and friendly staff - the little presentation of food they made for breakfast was exceptional. Rooms spotlessly clean, spacious.

Hotel is three-storey, with rooms on level 1 and 2, but building does not have a lift, and staircase was narrow. Lugging suitcases up and down these stairs quite awkward. This may be an issue for you. Building is also right on Porta Marina - an area which is a focus for drinking and party activity at certain times. This may be an issue for you. Building has tiled floors which makes it very echoing, especially when other guests arriving late at night.

Manuela was a brilliant host, helping us find the property and telling us all about the area. The hotel is in a beautiful historic building overlooking the busy port. The room was well equipped with a great bathroom and very comfy bed. Breakfast was outstanding.

As we were close to the water it was a busy, noisy part of the city. But we felt that that was the trade off and being able to look out across the street to the port was very special. Lots of stairs with our heavy suitcase was a little challenging but we managed!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was so beautiful, the location was excellent, the bed was super comfortable, and the decor superb. We also really liked the comfortable bathroom. Giovanna was very accommodating as well, and lent us a beach umbrella one day.

Note that the rooms are Note entirely soundproof, as the description says. We don't know how much sound escaped the room, but we could hear some street noise as well as some noise from the reception and cleaning next door (we were on the first floor). This was still ok, just not "soundproof". Also, this can probably be fixed but the shower tended to leak water while we were showering.

The hotel is right on the port, near all the main local attractions and the rooms a delight. Coupled with lovely staff and a fun breakfast - what more could you want.

The bathroom is a little small but still perfectly fine.

Everything! The location. The room. The breakfast Wow!!! But most of all the staff. There were 2 different ladies taking it in turns to cover the desk and they were amazing. They explained everything to us, laughed with us, helped my with my Italian and made us feel very warm and welcome. Priceless!

The parking isn’t cheap. We were given a reduced rate but it was still about 25 euros a night which needs to be paid in cash. This is organised by the police and there’s nothing the hotel can do about it. It is convenient, and it is worth doing

One of the most beautiful terraces in Ortigia, perfect for admiring the sunset and enjoying the quiet of the island. The location is ideal, just 10 minutes away from every monument and point of interest in Ortigia. The room is equipped with all comforts, and the vintage furniture adds an incredible touch of beauty! Manu welcomed us warmly and assisted us during self check-in, providing us with all the information we needed. His kindness and welcoming smile were truly appreciated. Absolutely worth recommending!

What makes for a wonderful stay in a b&b are the who work and own the establishment. This was the case here. They were helpful,courteous,attentive and joyful.The breakfast server realized that my friend preferred a plain pastry and the next morning there was one for my partner. The owner is an exuberant young woman that talked about her life and joy of running her business. She was most helpful in getting our transportation squared away for next part of our tour through Sicily. The breakfast was outstanding and beautifully presented. A super place to stay. A very caring place!

Lovely property in a great location at the Porta Marina. Parking is available only 2 minutes away. Rooms at the front have a great view over the harbour. Easy walking distance for the whole of Ortigia, and beyond. Even better though are the two super staff, Emanuela and Giovanna. Lovely people and very helpful.
