We were thrilled to spot Washington’s face on Mount Rushmore from the property! The setting is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking mountain views and immaculately maintained grounds. Parking right outside each building was a huge convenience, and, even though we’d have preferred the main lodge, the separate cabins layout still worked seamlessly. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, and breakfast offered a generous spread of great American favorites.

The on‑site restaurant (diner) focuses almost exclusively on American classics, average quality, and could use more international options. Our room felt a bit dated, the pillows were not comfortable; and housekeeping could be more thorough. We also didn’t get a chance to use the hot tubs or spa tubs, which was a missed opportunity.

Location is great. Allowing us to bring our pet and having pet friendly areas is and was a great selling point for us. The location is quiet. Loved the view of Mount Rushmore and George Washington in profile from our room. The walking trails are very pleasant. Loved the grounds. Breakfast was a surprise. Advertised as Continental - we expected pastries and such but the hot foods were a total plus and the quality was excellent.

A bit more plush mattress would have been nice. A bit firm for our taste. Not a show stopper but old hips and bones...sigh

The breakfast was outstanding! Eggs, bacon, homemade biscuits, oatmeal and fresh fruit. The time 6:30 AM worked well. Plus all the coffee, juice and water you could want. Kids will like the waffles.

Keystone and Rapid City have limitations on transportation. Uber does not service Keystone. The Uber ride from the airport (21 miles) was $48 without tip. The shuttle from hotel in Keystone back to the airport was $80. You could not Uber or Taxi to Mt Rushmore. The street from the hotel to downtown Keystone was curvy and did not have a shoulder or sidewalk. There were no street lights. Walking to town was very dangerous.

The location is great. It is just far enough off the main street. We got a room with a mountain view. You can't see all of Mt Rushmore but it's worth getting a mountain view room so you can enjoy the private balcony not looking at the parking lot! The staff was exceptionally friendly. We ate dinner in the Pub on the property. The food was delicious!

Only one thing we wished was different. There's no exhaust fan in the bathroom. No need to elaborate.

The location is perfect for going to Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills, Custer National Park, the Badlands National Park, as well as cute downtown Keystone. The hotel was clean and the staff were great ! Our daughter loved that there was a hot tub and the fire pit to make s’mores ! We will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area. I have already recommended it to friends !

Location to Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park was great. Included breakfast was good and onsite restaurant was convenient with a good selection. Entire hotel staff were exceptionally professional and were extremely nice and eager to be helpful. The view of Mt Rushmore from our room was amazing and being located a little out of town and in the Black Hills was very relaxing.

Nothing. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

Great location, being a two minute drive out of Keystone. Room was clean and comfortable. The pillows were so good we wanted to take them home with us! Whilst we didn’t use them, the laundry room and jacuzzi were an added bonus

Breakfast was quite poor and not sure about the large table cafeteria style which made it feel more like eating at a youth hostel

The breakfast was more than expected. There was lots more variety than just a regular continental breakfast. The location was wonderful. Just 10 minutes from Mount Rushmore and outside the town of Keystone, tucked away in the woods. There were deer on the property in the morning. In room fridge and microwave. Guest laundry facilities. Pool and hot tub.

Other than the price, everything was good. We would stay again.

There was a great selection breakfast foods. Although we don't eat a large breakfast, we did appreciate the fresh fruit and yogurt. The outdoor seating gave us a great view of the area below where children and dogs played. The quiet was in sharp contrast with the adjacent town.

Absolutely love the view of Mt. Rushmore from the lobby area. The rooms were great and the shower was even better. The furnishings were updated and gave a mountain lodge feel. Love the historical photos throughout the halls. The lady on nights at the front desk was so accommodating and nice. The breakfast area in the glass gazebo was amazing and the staff at breakfast were top notch. This place is a gem in the wilderness! Loved the firepit in the evening and even met some fellow Boomer Sooner fans!!!

Parking was a challenge but adequate.
