The location was excellent, right next to the train station, but far enough not to be disturbed by the noise. The street was peaceful and easily accessible. The hotel was very clean and its staff friendly. The restaurant in the foyer was nice and there are some good coffee shops in the vicinity.

Why do hotels have bathtubs? Is it a remnant of a time when people enjoyed soaking in swimming pools which are too small to actually do any swimming? In any case, my room had a bathtub, which is a good thing if you like taking baths, but if you're disabled or elderly you might have trouble getting in and out of it.

Before check-in, I contacted the hotel to request that the two rooms I had booked were side by side. The hotel replied within 30 minutes that they would do their very best to accommodate my request (which they did) Location wise, hotel was dead handy - in the southern section of the city and within 7 mins walk of train station and an easy walk into the city centre. Lots of great restaurants & bars nearby to choose from. Check in was very smooth and efficient, and rooms were really nice; they were clean, tidy, and well appointed - I liked the fact they had a separate bathroom and WC. Parking on site was clearly communicated and lasted 24 hrs from point of arrival. Check-out was easy and quick as well.

Nothing to fault in all honesty.. For the price, I thought this hotel was a very good deal

Fantastic hotel, very central location and had a reasonably large carpark underneath it. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night and there were still some spaces left, which we were very grateful for. (NB - Go very slowly down the entrance ramp if you have a car with a low front!) The hotel was very clean and well equipped. There’s a small gym with several machines, two treadmills, two bikes and a selection of free weights and a fitness centre with sauna and steam room, but unfortunately we didn’t really get time to enjoy it as we had arrived later than we planned, had to rush out for dinner, and we had to leave early the next day. The beds are SO comfortable, 10/10 for the bed. Most comfortable hotel bed I think I’ve ever slept in! Room well equipped with nice things. Every staff member we dealt with was so helpful, friendly and kind, thank you. I really noticed this and it was very welcoming. We had breakfast and it was really good, huge selection of food which was regularly being topped up and kept tidy. The plates were hot for the cooked breakfast, and all the food was well cooked and hot too. We were glad we paid the extra (£15) to have breakfast at the hotel.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

Staff were friendly, polite and professional. The bed was comfy with a choice of pillows. Loved having a mini fridge and a coffee machine even though I don't drink coffee. Large TV Separate toilet Excellent shower

The lack of tea bags. Two teabags and 4 sachets of milk is NOT enough for anyone. That said I asked for more at the reception and they were very generous. I would have liked a blanket. The duvet was extremely thin and I woke up cold in the night. I don't like having the heating on overnight but i had to. Then the noise was annoying and keeping me awake so had to turn it off. I ended up using a towel as a blanket and put a jumper on.

The hotel's location couldn't be much better - a five-minute walk to the train station, very close to central Leeds. All the staff I met were attentive and polite - I couldn't check in straight away when I arrived, but that was fine; the hotel securely held my bags until later in the day. The young lady who welcomed me was knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. The room was large, clean, exactly as described and had everything I could have wanted for my stay.

There's nothing I disliked about this hotel - the only downside was that one of the lifts was out of order for some of my stay, but that wasn't a problem at all.

The breakfast was great; containing a large variety of options, all freshly made. We opted for the buffet and it included everything that you would wish for. The element that truly made this stay exceptional was the staff - all of the members of staff ranging from the reception, to cleaning staff to the management were incredibly kind and welcoming. In particular, however, one of the hotel managers - Jo - made the visit one that we will never forget. Following an incident, Jo did everything in her power to ensure that we felt safe, welcomed and cared for, going above and beyond any expectations. Her calm, kind manner and excellent sense of humour turned a situation which otherwise would have been a negative one into one that we will cherish - thank you so much for everything, we will certainly visit again!

The only part that should be noted prior to anyone visiting during a weekend or a busy period is the parking - we could not find any parking spaces at the designated car park at the hotel. There is, however, an Open car park less than two minutes away, though it does cost around £32 for a 24 hour stay. In hindsight, it was still worth the money. If you are not familiar with Leeds - the roads can be tricky to navigate and it’s likely far easier to walk to nearby attractions - within 10 minutes from the hotel, you will find a large range of restaurants & bars

Everything. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Great location. City centre is just a short walk. Breakfast was phenomenal with such a wide choice to suit everyone's taste. A special mention to Jo who took time to talk to us after breakfast when she realised we were in Leeds to drop our son off for university. Lots of reassurance from her that he would love Leeds. Thank you again. The barman is fantastic at his job. Nothing too much for him and great interaction with his customers.

There was nothing to dislike and I definitely will be returning.

The facilities and the staff was the most liked aspect of this hotel

The cleaning could have been to a better standard. Cobwebs above the wardrobes and thick dust around table legs and skirting boards maybe suggest they vacuum better.. We stripped the bed to save time for the cleaners in the hope they would use the extra time to hoover effectively. Having allergies I was coughing and sneezing all.night due to the dust. Woke vomiting. On arrival the smell of the room once opened the hotel door was as if someone had just defacated I didn't appreciate the smell of feaces as I opened my hotel.room.door.

I recently used this Novotel in Leeds city centre, due to its location, and the good reputation Novotel has, as being a highly rated hotel name. It had everything I expected from a Novotel, the facilities, a nice selection of bars and a restaurant. I didn't dine within the restaurant there, but I had a look at the food menu and it all seemed adequate and some nice choices, but at hotel prices, however I had a drink in the bar during the evening, and it offered a very good choice of alcohol , wines, soft drink etc. The bar area was good, well relaxed , nice abundance , comfortable seating, and plenty of seating too, it was a real good place to unwind. The room was good, quite modern , nice colours for interior , and a decent size sofa next to a massive LED TV, which was a good feature for the hotel room. This Novotel is more than adequate, as its not within central Leeds, and doesn't encounter any noises, traffic noise, so it was all quiet during the evening, night hours. The hotel staff I encountered during my stay were all pleasant, from arrival , to my departure, all of good character.

Maybe to sound a little, very little bit critical was that the bed in the room, was a little uncomfortable, but everyone is different when it comes to that aspect.

The staff especially the manager. We had an incident where someone walked into the room without knocking. The lady spoke very little English when I asked her what she was doing. She just said mistake and quickly left. I was quite worried about this. I went straight to front desk where I spoke to the manager. He explained it was a member of new staff. Who has been spoken to about knocking on the doors before entering. He also discounted our stay which was very kind of him I could not fault the staff in all areas of this hotel.

The bed was a little uncomfortable for me quite firm but I understand that's personal preferences.
