The location was unbelievable, directly in the heat of the old town and within walking of all we wanted to do. We were pleasantly surprised by how well the windows muted the sound, even from the bells of the enormous cathedral right in front of us. We slept very well. We explored the evening we arrived and the entire next day by foot. The hotel was the perfect location to be top enjoy an evening in the city. Everyone we met were kind and humorous. Each place we enjoyed food or drinks was incredibly good. We wished we had more time to explore and enjoy the city than just a day.

Everything was wonderful

The location is killer. Right at the cathedral, but never seemed too loud. It seems like the rooms may vary dramatically, but ours was plenty big enough for us and had a large, nice bathroom. But if you want to spend a night in the heart of it all, this was perfect. Easy baggage check for exploring as well.

The rooms and hotel are a bit dated. There don't seem to be real windows in the room either; we had an airplane size window with a 3 foot channel that if you craned your neck you could see out but let in little light. I'm sure you can find a nicer place, but maybe not location and price.

Warm welcome, super location, room.was in the attic, which was accessed by a lift. The view from the room overlooking the cathedral was stunning. The room was spacious and had a huge bathroom. It was really close to the tourist information who were also very helpful. The lighting was very good. The bells were not intrusive. Strasbourg was an amazing city, which we explored on foot. Petite France was our favourite area. We would love to return and would recommend Hotel Cathédrale

Breakfast was offered, but €19 which we thought was a lot. With such wonderful cafes, it is worth going on a wander!

The location is PERFECT - facing the Cathedral you can't get much closer to the center than that! I love the faint sound of the cathedral bells in the room - and if you are equipped with earplugs they won't bother you at all. The hotel has a quirkiness about it that is quite charming - but don't book here if you pack big suitcases! There are winding stairs to get to the 1st floor where the rooms - and elevators - start!

Some rooms are VERY small and a challenge if you are a bit claustrophobic. Luckily all the windows are openable and the smell of bread in the morning very nice!

location was SUPERB. I also liked the air conditioning and the fact that it actually worked. After reading a bunch of reviews I had my expectations set to be much worse than what I actually got. The staff was nice. I think I left a pair of shorts.

The shower was a little bit difficult as I am tall and big, so if you're plus size and/or above 6ft definitely consider getting a more expensive room that presumably has a proper sized shower and taller ceiling instead of cozy economy.

We went to Strasbourg for their famous Christmas markets. This hotel was prime location right outside the cathedral in the main square. The rooms were spacious and ours had 2 levels. with one of the beds on another level we weren’t in each other’s faces all the time. There was a water kettle provided with some coffee and tea which was nice. There was someone ready to carry your luggage to our room as there were a lot of stairs in this old building

There are alot of stairs (yes there is an elevator as well, but you still have to go up one flight first). If stairs bother you this may not be the place for you.

We checked in literally same day we booked, after horrible experience at Maison Kammerzell across from them. The reception was very pleasant, the room, though small was very comfortable and super clean. We were delighted they could accommodate us. Fabulous location. Breakfast buffet was ample. Fresh squeezed O.J., pastries, cold cuts and cheese and hot dishes. Very helpful front desk staff. Very secure luggage room to leave your belongings before and after using room. Would for sure recommend them and hope yo stay there again on another trip.

The room could have been a bit larger.

The location is amazing right in front of Cathedral and near all the sites to visit. The breakfast was fully loaded with freshly squeezes orange juice and the best scrambled eggs I have had! You cannot fail to have a great stay here.

The toilet roll holder fell off and was left there and not mended throughout of our stay. The toilet rolls are cheap and you get through a lot.

Liked the location of the hotel. Just in front of the cathedral. Stores and restaurants around it. Some staff were very nice and some were just there . Nothing extra.. Breakfast could be better .

Stairs. Not too young to be climbing stairs especially with back problems. Not the best lighting in the room.

Staff was nice, especially the night shift desk clerk. Location was perfect and breakfast was good. Size of room was small, but perfect for what we needed. We didn't spend much time in our room other than to sleep.

Our room was very warm. We had an air conditioner, but not sure it worked. Fault is ours though, as we never asked the staff for a fan or let them know that the room was too warm.
